Prachtig uitzicht. Prima matrassen. Grote tuin. Schoon zwembad. Fijne host. Prima keuken en heerlijk stil en afgelegen. De directe omgeving was erg mooi met een ravijn op 10 minuten lopen. Ravijn zelf kan je doorheen wandelen. Prachtige wandeling totaan de opgedroogde waterval. Het huis loopt volledig op zonne-energie, we hebben daar totaal niks van gemerkt, dus dat is super! De host heeft heel snel de gastank van een gaskachel vervangen, super service! Ook rij je omdat je al vrij hoog zit vrij snel naar het natuurpark van de Teide. Als je voor de natuur komt en drukke tourisme wil vermijden dan zit je hier zeker goed!

Douche is een handdouche met soms instabiele temperatuur. Douche kan beter. Bijvoorbeeld een douchestang en een thermostaat kraan nu is het een losse douchekop. Een paar duizendpoten in de woonkamer en slaapkamer, welke we vriendelijk hun weg naar buiten begeleiden. De weg naar het huis is onverhard en duurt ongeveer 5 minuten. Wel goed te doen met reguliere huurauto. Stiekem ook wel leuk om te rijden. In november is het wel wat fris. Op 700 meter hoogte is het gemiddeld 6 graden kouder dan aan het strand. In de zomer is dat wel een voordeel denk ik. Strand is ongeveer 30 minuten rijden.

Too far from everything, water temperature is it stable

Wir sind sehr nett von Maria und Juan empfangen worden. Sie standen uns während des ganzen Aufenthaltes für Fragen zur Verfügung. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus hatte alles was das Herz begehrt. Es war genau unserer Vorstellung entsprechend sehr ruhig. Wir konnten uns gut erholen und können die Unterkunft sehr gerne weiterempfehlen. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Vielen Dank für Alles :-)

The location is very good, calm and close to walks and restaurants. Beds are very comfortable. The big table outside is perfect for a drink or dinner.

The dirt road to access the property is a bit tricky (but can be mastered by a regular car)

We had our best experience while staying at Casa de Los Abuelos. The place is magical, not just the house but also the surrounding area. From the garden there is a great view at the peak Roque Imoque that is changing colours and shades all the time during the day and night. There are trees with fruits and beautiful views over the ocean. The owners were one of the nicest people we met in Tenerife, they offered us some local cookies, cheese, and wine, and fruits from their garden. A very interesting part is the underground cave to which one can access from the living room. It has several passages and rooms with matching furniture and decoration. All day in the garden, but especially at night, the silence is amazing. There are occasional sounds of falcons and wind giving a feeling of being deep in the wild nature. In fact, nature is all around, the house is situated in one of the best parts of south Tenerife for mountain hiking. There are trails leading to great views above some of the most impressive canyons of the island. The best place for us being the area between Barranco del Infierno and Barranco del Agua.

We loved everything.

Unique and very private location with a nice garden full of fresh fruits. Lots of hiking opportunities around. Beautiful sceneries since the farm is located at 950 meters height in the mountain.

Unfortunately, the house is not fully adapted for winter stays (Dec-Jan). The only one small gas heater could hardly warm up the house. It was very humid and the dehumidifier helped only partly during the days. It could be turned on only during day time because electricity is coming from solar panels. The bathroom was full of mold and so the kitchen cupboards. The swimming pool was also not for use because of the temperatures outside (+10 +15 during the day). It could be useful only with a sauna - would be great to have it here for winters. The second bedroom was not useful because it was simply too cold and the matrasses were hard and worn out.

It´s perfect location for privacy lovers. Everything was clean. Although the house is supplied by solar pannels only, the batteries were strong enough and there were no limitations for normal stuff usage (230V).

You need to have a car and the access road is gravel and rough.
