70’s sheets and towels, kitchen falling apart, bathroom not great, TV shocking, needs some investment

I liked the location of the apartment, 5 minutes walk from the Gondola, restaurants very close and at a very good price. The size and the decor of the apartment was amazing. It was very warm, clean and with good energy. Mr Ivan, the owner, was very polite, kind, very helpful, and always on time. Thank you Mr Ivan 🙏 I strongly recommend renting this apartment during your visit to Bansko.

The apartment has an excellent location for skiers. It is opposite Kempinski hotel, very close to the ski gondola, supermarkets, shops, pharmacies and restaurants. It is also very spacious and very warm at all times. Even in the bathroom there is something like a heater for warm air. The holy trinity church where is the old city of Bansko is a 15 mins walk. A hair dryer is included.

The floor of the apartment including the bathroom was dirty. It had shoe stains and dust. When we mentioned this to Ivan he got angry with us instead of doing something about it. In addition, the shower tab is not very spacious. It does not allow you to move freely while having a shower. Shampoo and shower gel are not provided. Only hand soap. Another negative of the apartment is that the main room doesn't have black out blinds. Thus as soon as the sun is out the light begins to enter the room and then you wake up. To store your skis there is small place to keep them behind the door. There is no ski storage.

it was very close to the gondola, so convenient when we have two young skiers. It also is very close to all restaurant and supermarkets, excellent location. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, he would do his very best to help.

Ivan was a fantastic host, incredibly helpful and responsive when we needed him, including when we were trying to get out of Bansko and home to London. He met us at the apartment, showed us where to park and how everything worked and said to contact him any time. If you want to be within short walking distance of the Gondola, this is a great apartment. The location is unbeatable. There is also a brilliant ski shop and school called Sankiyski Ski Snowboard Hire & School, right next to the apartment so it was easy to pick up skiing equipment and drop off day by day and good value. The apartment is spacious, very cosy and had all we needed for a comfortable stay including cooking utensils, a TV (that we didn't watch) , glassware and a hairdryer.

It's a shame that we couldn't park the hire car by the apartment, you have to park it in a secure location about 5 minutes walk away and pay 8 lev a day, but that was mentioned on the advert and we didn't use the car whilst there so it didn't bother us. The apartment was very cold to start with. There is no central heating, rather a towel rail in the bathroom, an AC unit in the living room and an electric heater in the bedroom. It took a while to heat up the apartment but once we'd been there a few days, it was very comfortable. We also had trouble to start with with electrical connections but Ivan was on hand to help fix the issue (a loose connection) and it was fine after that. The apartment could also have been cleaner and unfortunately there was no hoover either. Lastly, it is not ski in and out as advertised, there is a short walk to the Gondola.
