Amazing location in a historic building. Unfortunately the number of beds changed without notice between when we booked and when we arrived, so someone had to sleep on the couch - just check this before arriving.
Great layout for multiple groups.

Enjoyed being able to ski from slopes down to back of house and short hike up to slopes. Easy walk to shops and restaurants in Vail village. Great rental for price compared to other properties this close to Vail village

VACASA, the property management company, from the very beginning was impossible and very difficult to work with! They never had us “registered”, thus, the Owner of the property had to call me with the check-in instructions on our actual check-in day! So, for a long 25 minutes my husband and I, our two daughters and their husbands and our our four grandchildren (all are 4 years old and under) were “homeless” on our FIRST DAY of our Family Vacation! On our first morning at the perfectly located residence, the washing machine began leaking around 8 am…. I spent over four hours of MY VACATION TIME that day trying to get Vacasa to believe that we really were registered, thus in the home, to get someone to look at the broken and continuously leaking washing machine - and, I kept reminding them that the washing machine was broken and still leaking as I spoke to a different person….
Finally, when I was on hold with Vacasa, I used another phone and called Mountain Vacation Lodging. Anne and Megan were on it! They called the owner of the property - again! Neither was pleased with Vasaca’s text message at 4:48 pm that day, which was a Friday, to me “we unfortunately will not be able to get a tech in to fix the washer this weekend. If you need to do laundry, you will need to go to a laundromat. Please save any receipts and we will reimburse. I do apologize for this inconvenience.” That was verbatim from the text message. Are you serious??? We are in center of Vail Village - there are no laundromats…. plus, receipts??? Sooooo unacceptable.
The Owner found a plumber to come Saturday morning, the washer needed a part, he apologized. He left a note saying to call him, he would personally pick up our laundry and return it cleaned the same day.
Thank goodness the Owner was so helpful! VACASA was not……..
Yes, I do expect my credit card to be credited for this hassle!

Phenomenal area, unbeatable price point
Communication with the management/owners was solid; they answered our questions right away and were a pleasure to work with. The house was accurately depicted in the photos and description. The house was exactly what we wanted for our trip! Location, size, functionality. The hot tub was great (The pictures don’t do it justice).
The kitchen was very recently updated.

Issues with old house overshadowed great location
Would have been great but for serious issues with an old house that resulted in a large refund. Heat did not work and even when "fixed" not all rooms had heat and temperature was hard to control. Pipe burst caused flood and left basement (2 bedrooms) unusable for most of the trip. Management company was responsive, worked with us to try to resolve issues, and agreed to generous refund.
Positives: great location: 5-ish minute walk to Vail Village/Gondola (though we couldn't find reasonable ski-in ski-out path); good for a large gathering: main living room has a great fireplace and is a good space for hanging out with a large group; many bathrooms; spacious hot tub; 5 bedrooms as described in posting.

Excellent Location and Roomy Setup!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ark. Walks into the village were easy and the house is very roomy and can accommodate a variety of bedroom setups. The in home jacuzzi was a major plus. As far as privacy, location and size, it's hard to beat. Traveled up with a few guys to do three days of skiing and we all loved it.

Spectacular property close to everything in Vail Village!
We were two families with kids age 4-15 from Florida. We have been to Vail several times and this is one of our favorite properties we’ve stayed in. Convenient walking location to Gondola one and all the restaurants and shopping of the village. The house was clean and very well equipped. Our group of 9 had plenty of space and it was such a beautiful, cozy place for us to come back to after a day on the slopes. The kids loved the hot tub and the game room. We had a fire every night. The beds are comfortable and the views outside the window were a winter wonderland. I loved the history of the house, one of the original houses built in Vail still owned by the same family. Very well maintained.
Thanks for having us!

Great historical house in amazing location
This house was perfect for our family vacation. Lots of space for us and the kids and you can't beat the location just outside of Vail Village. The house is definitely old but has a lot of history on the walls and the brand new kitchen was great. The hot tub could use an update/replacement and there were some loose screws/nails on the deck but otherwise no significant complaints. Booking again next year!

The Arc at Vail
Property is as described. We had a lovely time staying at the Arc at Vail. It is a piece of Vail history, with an outstanding location and an affordable price. We were very comfortable here, as the 5 bedrooms fit our family nicely. Plenty of bathrooms also. We were very thankful for the abundant firewood provided, as well as the sleds for the hill out back, excellent wifi coverage, cable tv, well stocked kitchen, and absolutely beautiful scenery. The house is dated, and the recliners do not recline, but that was insignificant. Please be aware the steps up to the house are really no big deal. Easily managed. Plenty of parking too. Most of our time was spent on the slopes and dining in the village. Thanks so much to the owners for their accessibility and prompt responses to my messages. We look forward to staying here again. We LOVE Vail.

Great Location!
The location of this house is truly perfect! The sitting areas are spacious and private you can't see the neighbors. The hot tub was great and worked well. The pictures of the bathrooms and kitchen are legit - they are VERY dated and the kitchen was a little more beat up than the pic looks. There is not usable patio furniture so if you are driving bring folding camp chairs if you plan to hang outside. The other downside is that there is no driveway and you have to park on the street and haul our bikes up the stairs. Since we rented in the summer it was not a big deal but I am guessing in the winter that would be a real downer. The owner I exchanged msgs with was easy to reach and gave good restaurant recommendations.

Great Stay, Walking Distance To Everything
We had a team trip in the mountains. The house slept 10 people with ease. Perfect location and had everything we needed. We would stay here again.
