Gathered with adult sons and their families at Joie De Vivre in Chelan for 6 glorious days. Layout of the house mostly worked - would be better once the grandkids are older and blocking stairs no longer needed. House location near beach and upper pool was great. Amenities - beach, pools and open play spaces were great. There was no need to venture off the property. Management communication of daily activities was very helpful and all the staff were well trained and very friendly.

Joi De Vivre was just the right size for our two families and one corgi! The location was convenient to the wedding venue, Chelan, and local walking trails. We utilized the Lookout hot tub and pickleball courts. There were bicycles available in the garage but no helmets, therefore the guest mostly likely to ride wouldn't because of a previous bike accident.

The house was beautiful and wonderfully located. HOWEVER, the pictures on the website are VERY old and outdated. We were expecting to see the lake (why we chose the house we did) and instead found no lake view due to the trees that had grown up tall, blocking the lake view. False advertising is VERY disappointing. Also, the fridge doors need some work, they kept popping open. With that said, we did enjoy our time there, the house had a great layout for our group and it was clean and tidy. I would recommend this location to others but I also recommend that the pictures be updated!

My family has visited the Lookout for years as we love Chelan. Overall, we loved this house - very comfortable and useful living room sectional; patio and porchs/balconies were great; very dog friendly and dog safe (even though these dog owners left their dogs at home). Improvement suggestions: (1) repair sink fixtures in upstairs bathroom with the queen bed; (2) repair front gate latch which doesn't work; (3) add more hooks in bathrooms to hang clothes; (4) repair ice maker which drops ice into unsanitary bottom of fridge instead of in the ice tray. The house was supposed to be ready at 4pm, but we didn't get access to the house until 5:30 while cleaning was finished from the previous tenants. We were going to rebook a house for next summer but your prices have gone up so much that we will probably look for other alternatives, sadly. Your 2022 prices were already increased considerably from your 2021 prices.

This is a great home! We were a group of 8 adults and the house was perfect for us. Four bedrooms and each has its own bathroom. The common areas are spacious and very comfortable to hang out in. The kitchen had everything we needed and the view is very pretty.Two things to note: 1. We had a pet with us and even though we stated that when we made the reservation through vrbo, the pet fee was not included. We had to pay for that directly through their property management. Joie de Vivre does not disappoint!
This house is a convenient location both for the surrounding area and within The Lookout community. This home is close to one of the community pools and the access road to the basketball/ pickleball court and the beach. A small park area is being developed across the street from the house which will be nice when completed.
The homeowners were thoughtful in the way the house is put together. There are many seating options both indoors and out. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware to use, including large bowls for mixing or serving a large salad. Each bathroom is stocked with plenty of towels; a few beach towels are also available. The view up lake is nice, especially from the third floor deck.
This rental is a great place for families and groups of friends. It is not a good choice for anyone with serious physical limitations due to the number of stairs between each floor.
We would rent this house again!

Spacious and great location
Pros: Joie de Vivre is a great house to share with multiple families. Large bedrooms each with their own bathrooms and plenty of outdoor space made this house feel very spacious. Location within the Lookout is good with easy access to the upper pool and the shuttles to take you down to the lake. Cons: need more dishwasher & laundry pods (they only provided 3 of each in a house with 9 people for 6 days). Need to supply more paper towels and cleaning supplies in general. The drain in the upstairs bathroom was clogged and the slider on the shower door in the master bedroom was broken. Also, the auto lock on the front door was not functioning properly. We had to pull the door tightly toward us to get it to lock.

Thank you for opening up your home! It was very spacious. Each bedroom had a full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and serving utensils. Centrally located. The shuttle to the beach was only steps away. The pool was close too!

Our three families had a wonderful stay here while in town to enjoy Winterfest. We loved the view and thought the layout of the home was excellent for kids, who had their own space on the lower level to have fun. Would definitely stay here again!
