Luxury Family Villa Overlooking 1st green of VilaSol golf, large pool and bar!
Recientemente modernizada a un alto nivel es esta villa familiar de lujo de 4 dormitorios que cuenta con vistas al primer campo de golf de Vila Sol. Este campo de golf de 27 hoyos (3 x 9) ha acogido el Open de Portugal en varias ocasiones. Los huéspedes de Casa Barklee reciben un descuento en los green fees en Vila Sol Golf.

Stayed from 20-27 June with my partner, friends and their 2 kids.
Wonderful place, clean and tidy, lots to do with the pool, golf putting green, table tennis and darts, so kids (and us) always amused.
Effectively, the villa is on an up-market complex with nice restaurants within 10 minutes walk, so very convenient.
Communication with the owner (Craig) and the management team was always spot on.
Will definitely consider staying again, if and when in Portugal.

Just back from another amazing week at Casa Barklee. The villa is luxurious, spacious and well-equipped. All four bedrooms are lovely and there’s a big kitchen and lounge. The outdoor space is wonderful - with a large pool, sun beds, sofas and a fab bar! It’s located near bars, cafes and restaurants, and it’s a short drive to Vilamoura and Vale do Lobo. Recommend eating at Wine Bistro which is within walking distance of the villa.

We holiday in Vilamoura 2 to 3 times a year mainly in villas for the past 15 years and this has to be the best villa we have stayed in. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and the outdoor space is amazing and very private 10 out of 10.

We stayed here in June 23. My wife and I, 2 kids (7&2) and two grandparents. This villa is exceptional.
The location is great with some nice coffee shops and restauraunts within 10 mins walking distance or the Vilamoura marina is less than 10 mins drive for everything that has to offer.
The owners, Kate and Craig, are really friendly and gave us all the information we would need before we arrived and from their communication made us really feel welcome in their home.
You can really tell that this is a familys home that you are being allowed to stay in. It was really a pleasure to spend time in this house.
The outside area with pool is fantastic and gets the sun all day long. The bbq is huge and we had many fun competitions on the putting green.
The lounge area and bedrooms are super comfortable.
Really it is hard to put into words how good this villa is. It really exceeded our expectations on every level. The pictures on the website are great yet dont really do this villa justice.
A fantastic villa which we hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Excellent villa in the Algarve
We had an absolutely wonderful holiday in Casa Barklee, Vila Sol. The villa is even more spacious than the photographs suggest and very well equipped. The pool, putting green and table tennis were all great successes with our family. Very easy walking distance to several excellent restaurants and local pub. Craig and Kate were wonderful hosts, always promptly answering any of our queries and in such a friendly and welcoming manner. We would highly recommend Casa Barklee and we as a family would love to return at a future date.

AMAZING CASA BARKLEE
Our group of 7 ladies booked this villa for our big birthday in 2021, as one of our party lived in Ireland and couldn’t travel due to Covid, Craig and Kate, the owners, simply let us change to 2022 with no hassle and lots of help.
When we arrived at the villa it took our breath away it was everything we wanted and more. The pictures don’t do it justice it was amazing.
The villa is in a fantastic location for any golfers and Vilamoura is only 15 minutes away by car.
Everything was so well equipped from the kitchen to the outside bar and BBQ
Craig and Kate were quick to answer any questions we had and to offer advice on things to do, such as a masseur to come to the villa for us, unfortunately we run out of time this year.
We enjoyed our stay so much we look forward to returning soon.
A big thank you to Craig and Kate our holiday was amazing and very special.

A beautiful and comfortable home with very thoughtful owners
After a lot of deliberation we chose this property for our first trip to the area, and we were delighted with our choice. The house is large, even larger than it appears in the photos, beautifully appointed and has a wonderful pool. As we were visiting in October we paid for pool heating, which took the pool to a very comfortable temperature, around 29/30°c, perfect for messing about on those lazy days in the sunshine. There were plenty of pool towels too. We made less use of the bbq than we expected, mainly because we ate out, but it was used a couple of times and was fine. Perhaps a bug zapper would be helpful for outdoor eating though.
The kitchen is very well equipped, with 2 fridge freezers and 2 dishwashers being a real bonus. Pretty much everything you need is here, both in the kitchen and elsewhere in the house. The only thing we could have done with but couldn’t find was a beach umbrella for our days on the beach - there are a number of large parasols around the pool but not a small one for the beach.
The layout of the house works well, with two bedrooms upstairs and two down. The area felt very safe for small children and the property is well fenced, with electric gates. The local supermarkets are only minutes away by car and are decent for all needs.
We weren’t able to go to Wildfire to eat, as it was closed (whether due to the season or to Covid we’re not sure), but we did eat at the Wine Bistro on Vila Sol and it was very good. We ate at the Vilamoura Marina, but it felt a little too ‘British’ for us. We preferred Julia’s Restaurant, one of a few restaurants at Praia do Garrao, which we unfortunately discovered too late on in our week. We had a lovely lunch there, overlooking the beach, ideal if you want to while away a few hours while your children play on the beach next to you. And an amazing sunset over the sea.
Finally, thank you to Craig and Kate for your help throughout the process. It’s so nice to have such responsive and friendly hosts and really makes a difference to the whole experience.

Amazing villa!
We stayed at this villa with some
friends and absolutely loved it. It has everything you could possibly need - 4 large double / twin bedrooms each with en-suites, a large well-equipped kitchen, spacious lounge and dining room, lovely seating and dining areas outside, great pool area and even an outside bar! It is situated within walking distance of some really good restaurants and is only a taxi ride away from Vilamoura. We would highly recommend this villa.

Fabulous Villa
We had a truly wonderful holiday in Casa Barklee.
The villa is just beautiful, newly updated and maintained to a very high standard. The furnishings are extremely comfortable, high quality and create a fabulous quality home from home. Everything needed is provided, you can relax in the shade on the terrace, sunbath on the comfortable sun loungers with a drink on the side tables, or enjoy a spot of sport, golf, darts, table tennis and more. The kitchen, dinning and sitting rooms open out onto the pool, so everyone can enjoy the villa in their own way whilst staying together. The views over the golf course are beautiful and the adjoining pool house makes a wonderful addition day or evening.
The location is great, take a short stroll for a morning paper or enjoy breakfast / lunch in the lovely cafes or dine in one of the high quality restaurants.
Kate is extremely helpful and plenty of information was provided in the handbook, with restaurant recommendations and activity ideas and locations.
We are already booked for next year!

Four couples stayed from 10th August 2019 to 17th August 2019, the villa is perfect, if you’re looking for a relaxed week then I would definitely stay here, very quiet, a short walk to a couple of shops and restaurants and only a 15 minute journey to the Marina, which is lovely.
The villa has everything you will need to have a lovely holiday, from booking to arriving was effortless.

Wow...what a Lovely villa - large with everything you possibly could need to make you comfortable. Modern and so clean. Outside pool and facilities were great. 7 of us stayed here including 2 young kids and we all loved every moment!! One of the nicest villas we have stayed in to date, so def will be rebooking this in the near future !! 5stars!!

We cooked breakfast in the very large and well equipped kitchen and ate out most other meals. The living room is large and cozy; we watched the Masters final and usually had cocktails there. The bedrooms are comfortable and the master bedroom is very large and comfortable. I drew the lucky straw. The villa is inside the Vila Sol golf course complex. We walked up the first tee fairway each evening for putting and chipping contests. Very easy to find good restaurants and excellent golf all within 5-20 minutes. Kate was accessible when we had cable TV issues but they were easily resolved with a reboot. Pool is perfect size for exercise.We would come back again.

Super stay at a gorgeous villa
The villa was stunning and had everything you could wish for. Great for a family with kids as a good sized pool, football net, table tennis , mini putting green and darts board ! Great for adults too, as a separate 'bar barn ' in the garden with sofas and bar area for entertaining. The local restaurants are super near the villa also. Would highly recommend this Villa to anyone looking for a family friendly holiday.

Wonderful villa, excellent location, everything you could possibly need was provided!
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Barklee in May 2018. First of all the villa was spotlessly clean and was immaculate upon arrival. It has an amazing location, close enough to local imenities but still in a very quiet location. The outside area is fantastic, we literally spent our week around the pool and enjoying the grounds of the villa, we made great use of the barbecue and the outdoor bar area.
The villa has everything you could possible need, whether it was something in the kitchen or a safety pin, you name it, it was there. The owners have thought out every little detail with amazing precision to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday! We will definitely return to Casa Barklee, we were truly spoiled. The interior decor is beautiful and very homely, all rooms were specious and tastefully decorated with sparking clean bathroom/shower rooms.
All in all we would rate this villa 5 stars. If you are trying to decide whether this villa is for you then look no further, this Villa is honestly out of this world! Thanks again to the owners for their outstanding service and also the correspondence was amazing, Kate kept us up to date in the run up to our holiday and Sonya the village manager made sure everything ran smoothly during our holiday, Kate also messaged at the end of our holiday to wish us a safe flight home. Totally Outstanding!
In my job I travel extensively and have the privilege of staying in many beautiful properties. I must say Casa Barklee exceeds all expectations! Set in an idyllic golf resort, in walking distance to various restaurants and amenities you don't even need a car if you truly want to relax.
The house caters for all age groups, is completely modern and offers all the facilities you require. All the bedrooms are of an excellent size and the showers in the bathrooms are all powerful (something not always available in some properties).
The outside area is amazing, such a wonderful sized pool (with the ability to heat at an additional cost), and the bar area is just fantastic!
I must say the photos do not do this beautiful property justice! You need to book it to experience it. I am so glad I stayed at Casa Barklee.

Book it. This is it, this is the villa you’ve been looking for! Save yourself the hassle and book this villa! It’s fantastic, it’s huge and really well laid out. The garden is also huge, the pictures do not do it justice. The thatched bar area in the garden is superb and much bigger than we had imagined. To top it off, the owners are lovely and responded to my queries straight away (1 of only 2 owners that provided any useful feedback before booking, out of possibly 20 villa enquiries that I made) and provided some lovely personal touches and really helpful advice. The villa manager was also great and so helpful. The whole villa feels luxurious and extremely comfortable including the beds, sun loungers, outside sofa area etc. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is excellent too, within walking distance of restaurants, shop, coffee shop etc. We had a wonderful time here and I would love to return :)

Fantastic Villa in an excellent location!
A fantastic villa in an excellent location. My wife, 14 month old son and I have just come back from a week at Villa Casa Barklee and we couldn't have had a better time.
On arrival we were shown around by Sonja who was extremely knowledgeable about the villa and local area. We were also greeted with the necessities to get you through the first day without having to stress about going to the shop, a nice touch. Kate (the owner) had also ensured all the equipment we could need such as high chairs etc are available to us. Essentially, our experience on booking and first arrival was excellent.
The villa itself is stunning and comes with all the extra's you could want. An outdoor bar (recently built), a putting green, table tennis table, dart board, comfortable seating areas, fantastic swimming pool and immaculate grounds.
Overall, an excellent villa in which I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a holiday along the South coast of Portugal. We are already looking forward to booking again.

Casa Barklee is such a lovely villa in a great location. It's so spacious making it a great family home.
We loved the heated pool and made good use of the bbq although there are some great restaurants nearbye, although the kutchen is a dream.We played darts, table tennus, swam in the pool and got discount on the golf couse backing on to our garden.
Close to a lovely sandy beach, but our favourite spot after dinner on the terrace was the outside thatched bar in the gardens. Fabulous stay and we have already booked again.
