My husband and I have just enjoyed a lovely and relaxing week in this beautiful windmill. It’s lovely and secluded so would recommend a car if you want to explore the island but equally if you just want to relax the surroundings are simply beautiful. The windmill is decorated with so much attention to detail and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The owners are lovely and we enjoyed talking to them too. All in all a wonderful week and we would definitely recommend.

Die Mühle ist wunderschön geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super gut ausgestattet. Hier kann man sich wie zu Hause fühlen. Der Vermieter ist sehr gastfreundlich und hat uns mit vielen hilfreichen Informationen versorgt. Besser geht nicht!

Ein kleines Paradies! Die alte Mühle ist wunderschön, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und besonders der Außenbereich ermöglicht herrlich entspannende Stunden, wie man sie nur vom Süden kennt!

Das Ferienhaus ist ein wunderbarer Ort zum „Seele baumeln lassen“. Die liebevolle Einrichtung, die große Terrasse und das herzliche Verhältnis zum Vermieter waren ein großes Plus. Leider ist die Küste am Haus sehr rau, so dass man dort nur unter Schwierigkeiten schwimmen kann. Weshalb wir sehr gern zu den umliegenden Stränden gefahren sind. Deren rauer Charme mit wunderbarem Meer uns von Tag zu Tag mehr ans Herz gewachsen ist. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Entzückende Vermieter, schönes und geschmackvoll dekoriertes Haus, toller Sitzplatz im Freien, wo man den sonnenutergang über dem Meer genießen kann. Sauber und gut ausgestattet.

Ein kleines Paradies - abseits jeglicher Touristenmassen. Die absolute Ruhe und das liebevoll eingerichtete Haus haben uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Dazu gab es immer wieder frisches Gemüse direkt aus dem Garten - das war wunderbar. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wir entdeckten "ANEMOMILIS" zufällig und waren sofort begeistert. Als wir ankamen und das hübsche Haus von innen sahen, wußten wir sofort, das paßt. Die Räume waren blitzsauber, alles liebevoll und mit viel Charme eingerichtet - einfach zum Wohlfuehlen. Die Terrasse laed zum Verweilen, die Außenanlagen mit Palmen und Granatapfelbaeumen - einfach herrlich. Mit Rat und Tat standen uns die Vermieter zur Seite - herzlichen Dank dafuer!!! Alles in allem perfekt. Wir kommen bald wieder!

das Ferienhaus ist eine historische Windmühle und vermittelt einen gemütliche und heimelige Atmosphäre. Dabei ist es auch sehr umfangreich ausgestattet, so dass keine Komfortwünsche offenbleiben. Die umgebenden Grünanlagen beinhalten u.a. Granatapfelbäume und Dattelpalmen, wobei wir uns frei an den Früchten bedienen durften. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Zeit genossen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Mühle. Das Haus ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Pantelis hat uns vorab schon viele Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben, was sehr hilfreich war. Sein Vater Lefteris ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und weiß alles über die Umgebung - wir haben sehr schöne Tage dort verbracht und das Haus mit der riesigen Terrasse im wunderschönen Garten sehr genossen. Die schönen Strände im Osten sind gut zu erreichen und man kann von der Unterkunft aus tolle Exkursionen unternehmen. Vielen Dank Pantelis und Lefteris, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

die sehr gut restaurierte, sehr gut ausgestattete und gepflegte Windmühle mit großem Außenbereich in gartenähnlicher Umgebung ist etwas für Individualisten, die von dort aus Kretas Osten erkunden möchten. Im nahe gelegenen Sitia kann man am Hafen abends sehr gut essen gehen, es gibt dort auch diverse große Supermärkte

un véritable coup de foudre pour le moulin d une authenticité et au charme fou ,la Crête est splendide et les Crétois sont d une hospitalité peu commune ,cerise sur le gâteau ,les propriétaires sont adorables ,nos 12 jours de vacances ont été un enchantement ,GROS coup de blues lors de notre départ

Such a beautiful property perfect for a relaxing holiday away. Lefteris was a wonderful host, it was great to have a chat with him here and there and sample some fruit from his orchard on site. The veranda is gorgeous with a nice view of the sea perfect for having your meals or just hanging out, with the wind it's cool almost all day. The rooms inside are simple but have everything you need - do be aware that there are stairs going into each room. This property is most ideal for people looking to relax in a serene environment away from the usual tourist sites, you definitely need a car to get around. That being said, Sitia is less than 10 min away, it's quite charming with a nice promenade full of bars and restaurants. The only thing I regret is that I didn't stay here longer.

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen in der Mühle verbracht und wären sehr gerne noch viel länger geblieben. Die Mühle ist sehr gut und mit viel Liebe für’s Detail ausgestattet und hat ganz viel Charme. Alles war super sauber und es hat nichts gefehlt. Dazu noch der tolle Meerblick mit Meeresrauschen und der schöne und gemütliche Außenbereich. Wir hatten äußerst nette und interessante Gespräche mit dem Vermieter und genossen die gesunde Versorgung aus dem hauseigenen Garten. Rundum ein gelungener Urlaub und wir kommen sicher wieder!

The windmill was perfect for our family, beautifully furnished and with amazing scenery in a quiet location. Communication with the host (and his father who showed us in and gave us his top tips) was excellent. We loved day trips to Spinalonga and the beaches on the South coast, around 20-30 minutes drive away from the windmill. We also had lots of good meals in Sitia and around Sitia, particularly at Inodion, To Limani and Elena’s in Palaikastron. You will need a car but the drives along the coast are spectacular! Kids loved the cats too.

Sehr gute Ferienwohnung mit Klimaanlage, die bei sommerlichen Temperaturen sehr hilfreich ist. Rundum sehr guter Urlaub: vor der Reise vom Vermieter Urlaubstipps per Email erhalten, Begrüßungsgebäck, Blick aufs Meer von der Veranda aus, auf der man beim Frühstück und Abendbrot sehr schön sitzen kann. Ein Mietwagen ist unbedingt nötig! Alle schönen Sandstrände zum Baden im Osten von Kreta sind innerhalb von 20 Minuten erreichbar. Eine Überraschung war für uns der selbst gebrannte Raki und das selbst gemachte Olivenöl von den Vermietern. Wir können die Ferienwohnung auch für Familien empfehlen und wollen demnächst gern wieder dort unseren Urlaub verbringen.

This is an excellent propert in a great location. Clean comfortable and quite unique. Close to many sights and a great base to tour from. Very nice patio and beautiful gardens. Owners are extremely accomodating and helpful. Do not hesitate to stay here ! Kathy and Rob

This quirky, lovely old windmill situated in a lovely garden and olive grove is a relaxing and beautiful place to stay. Its close to the small town of Sitea, the stunning East coast beaches and the mountains and so there is plenty to do and see.

We had such a wonderful time at the windmill. It’s a great base from which to explore the east on Crete. The windmill was beautiful- clean and comfortable, with everything you could need. Pantelis sent us very useful and informative emails prior to our stay and Lefteris gave us lots of tips about where to go and was a fountain of Cretan knowledge. There was plenty of space for the children to play including some sweet little swings. It was just lovely- we highly recommend it!

Cretan hospitality is legendary, and a stay in the windmill is a great way to experience it. Everyone in the family welcomed me, and with quiet kindness made sure I had a good time. Agia Fotia is well situated as a base to explore the easternmost part of Crete, which is full of history and wild beauty. Neaby Sitia provides all the necessaries, together with an excellent little archeological museum and a lively harbor area. The windmill itself is charmingly furnished and fully equipped, and has an ample veranda that is shaded almost all day long. Two imporant notes: (1) a car is a must; and (2) the windmill may not be suitable for persons with reduced mobility or visual impairment. It is on 4 levels, with the master bedroom and the single bathroom separated by 3-1/2 flights of spiral stone staircases, with no railings. However, the second bedroom and the bathroom are on the same level with only two steps up to the level of the kitchen and veranda, Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the windmill. The garden where the house is place is very nice and peaceful, the holiday home itself very well equipped - from living room to kitchen. We especially liked the large courtyard outside, which was practically our real living room, to sit out, relax, eat, read, talk to the landlord, etc. In the surrounding you are within 5-10 min at Sitia, a small town where you can get all things needed for daily live, as well as in about 15 min at Vai Beach, a splendid place for sunbathing and also watersports. We tried Wakeboarding with Emanual, enjoyed it a lot (from 2nd day onwards) and appreciated his calmness in coaching us (always with a smile). All in all a super holiday thanks to the friendly and always helpful reception of the landlord (Lefteki) as well a the very nice location!!!

Special house, fully equipped. The owners were very hospitable. It was possible to hang around the house all day, space and privacy enough. Also there is enough to see and to do in the area. The surrounding is amazing. Green, empty, rough. The weather was fantastic. We had a great holiday.

Wir haben Anfang April als Familie mit zwei Kindern eine Woche in der Mühle verbracht und uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr charmant, mit viel Liebe und Geschmack angelegt, sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer verteilen sich auf insgesamt vier versetzten Ebenen; ganz unten ist ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten sowie das Bad, ein paar Stufen darüber die Küche, eine Treppe höher das Wohnzimmer mit der Eingangstür und eine weitere Treppe höher die Empore mit dem Doppelbett. Alle Zimmer haben Fenster und/oder Türen nach draußen. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und haben uns mit Obst, Olivenöl, Kuchen und stets guten Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen versorgt. Sie wohnen auf dem Grundstück und sind bei Bedarf jederzeit ansprechbar gewesen. Wir können das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen!

We loved our stay in Crete and this property was a big part of the reason. First it was a close driving distance to world class beaches (Palm Beach at Vai was excellent) and we went to five different beaches in as many days. The locals were all very welcoming and helpful - chief among them were our hosts who provided us with maps and useful information we couldn't have found in a guide book about best places to eat and sights to see. The property itself was great - with a well equipped kitchen and lots of room throughout. The surrounding orchards and gardens were all beautiful and luckily in full bloom when we visited. We felt like we on some country estate - but close enough to all the services we needed at Sitia ( less than 10 minutes away)... Also - Zakros Gorge was close enough that if you're into hiking you'd be in for a treat as well. We would recommend this to families, or as a romantic getaway - and are definitely looking forward to staying again. I could write a lot more about this property - but after seeing the pictures - you'd agree I don't need to. Book it and have a great time!

"My husband and I spent eight days in this converted mill that was furnished more like a good home than a holiday apartment. Its superb location in its own grounds and lavish gardens between mountains and the sea, Siteia a short drive away and 1001 delights (ancient sites, beaches, country footpaths, and tavernas - Metohi near Vai, Balcony in Siteria) made Greek myths into a Cretan reality which was, quite honestly, remarkably attractive. Lefteris, and Kate too, were generous hosts/hostesses with ample supplies of local knowledge that made our visit all too short."
