We stayed in this home for a family vacation with our cousins. (There were 4 adults and 4 teens.). We had a great time and the house matched the listing description perfectly. Our family also had a dog and she enjoyed the fenced in yard. The yard is a nice size, well shaded, and a great spot to relax. The neighborhood and street are very quiet and well shaded as well. We did walk into town for coffee and breakfast several of the mornings we were there. The walk was enjoyable and it took about 12 minutes for us to get to downtown Charlevoix. Depot beach was also a fun spot for our kids to hang out and swim. We had a great vacation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyed our stay. One suggestion would be to add a grab
bar is the tub. I am short and it was a challenge getting in and out of the tub. Also, could use some clothes hooks in the bathroom for wet towels.
4.7
We used this house as a family, and it worked great!
Communication with the host was the best I've ever had on vrbo!
Inside of the house was very clean, plenty of towels and soap.
4.7
We had a nice stay at this house in Charlevoix.

The house was in a modest, but safe neighborhood very close to town. It is walkable but we were there for a wedding and drove most times. The house was well stock meeting all our needs for a long weekend. The inside was clean and been updated for an older home. Beds were comfortable and so was living room furniture. Plenty of linens and pillows, towels etc. A full length mirror would have been nice to get ready for the wedding. I would have given a 5 for cleanliness except it was very messy outside and windows and siding looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in years. There are a lot of trees in the area and that may be part of the problem but other homes surrounding were clean. Thank you to the host she was very prompt on my emails. We enjoyed our stay.
4.7
We enjoyed this house very much. There was ample room for the four of us. It was clean, comfortable and in a mostly quiet neighborhood. There are tennis courts behind the house but the sound is no more bothersome than a lawnmower. Convenient to many activities and beaches without being in a heavy traffic area.
4.7
Very beautiful home. Would absolutely stay again. The kitchen is small and narrow. Galley kitchen. All new appliances. Huge backyard with plenty of shade. The lawn service came during our stay which was odd as we had to take our chairs in and stay in the house to stay out of the way.
4.7
Cozy ranch in the heart of Charlevoix. Within walking distance to downtown, public tennis courts, public golf course and beach. Spacious backyard for two large dogs.
4.7
Clean and well laid out house. Had plenty of room to accomodate a larger group, we didnt even use half the house!! Dog friendly was a major plus, and if your dog loves tennis balls the courts behind keep the backyard well stocked with balls!! House was well stocked, clean, central air, and very comfy!! Quick walk to the golf course and depot beach. Just need some blinds for the bedrooms, very bright streetlight in front of the house and early mor ing sun. Will 100% rent again next year of its available our week!! Thanks Stephanie!!
4.7
Home was very nice inside! Very clean and supplied well. Down stairs finished and very nice. Futons not comfortable for sleeping. Could use another mattress. Beds very comfortable. Would have been nice to have dressers. Newly renovated kitchen with everything you need. Great fenced in yard for our dog. Outside could use some cleaning and painting but great neighborhood!
Owner most of the time easy to get a hold of. Our family of 10 had a wonderful week in Charlevoix the Beautiful!
4.7
This is a beautiful, clean, and well-equipped home just minutes to downtown Charlevoix. The neighborhood is well-cared for, safe, and quiet. Slept five adults with ease. Fenced in backyard allowed us to let the dogs run freely. Little extras, like a dog bed, were greatly appreciated. Stephanie is a responsive host and does an excellent job providing the start of a fun vacation! Thanks, Stephanie!!!
4.7
Great for pets, it has a nice fenced in back yard. Kitchen was small, table only could fit 4. Close to downtown.
4.7
This property was perfect for the size of our family. It was also in a perfect location where we were just far enough away from the downtown traffic but close enough to walk there. We loved it!
4.7
Location matters in Charlevoix! And this works GREAT for any size group, with any agenda. Stay in and cook? Sure. Walk to town? Done! Beach - nearby. This is a wonderful spot.
4.7
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious home. The fenced backyard was perfect and the proximity to downtown and the beach on Lake Charlevoix was awesome. Nice kitchen too! Highly recommend.
4.7
Great location and very nice rental property with family and 2 dogs. Outside of house could use a painting but overall the inside was just perfect for a week with the family and animals.
4.7
Plenty of space and family friendly home. Spacious back yard with patio and gas grill. City tennis courts on property adjoining back yard. Short walk to city beach.

Pretty Charlevoix home
Interior of the house was updated and comfortable. Nice roomy fenced in backyard, great location to walk to Depot Beach.
Only recommendation would be an exterior power wash/paint job. Inside is in much better shape.

We had a great stay and loved the chef kitchen and fenced yard for dogs. The kitchen is well stocked with the necessary pots, pans, utensils needed. Great coffee pot and also a french press if warranted. Beautiful refridgerator and stove, we brought food and also cooked so this was awesome. Both bathrooms were very well stocked with extra towels and washcloths. The house has a nice cozy layout, very accommodating for our 3 adult daughters and (2) significant others. We stayed during a very cold, icy and very windy weekend and the beds only had sheets with a light comforter. Only (2) extra light comforters in the house. Both my daughter and I brought a blanket from our homes but we ended up borrowing one from my brother down the street so bring blankets if you stay in the winter. The driveway was plowed on Saturday for us, and we used an old broom to remove the snow however on Sunday we had to borrow a few shovels from my brother to shovel ourselves out in the morning and get my daughters car off the street from the snow storm the night before, we could not find any shovels. A few blankets and a shovel are an easy recommended fix as it is a great 4 bedroom and pet friendly house to stay in :)

My family had a great stay at this house earlier this summer. The location is perfect - close to downtown Charlevoix and the beaches, and across the street from a golf course and tennis courts.
4.7
The exterior is filthy. In particular the eaves are full of dirt and leaves and growing trees out of them. When it rained the drives and walks were overflowed with dirt and mud from the gutters. Outside was extremely dirty. Patio and drive had not need blown off all summer it appeared. Nor the garage floor. So you might as well have walked through sand to enter the cottage. I complained and the owner sent a college kid over with a push broom who swept a couple spots and left. I asked him where his blower was and he just shrugged. Outdoor grill only got to about 250. Inside was roomy and clean. So that was good. So they found a good cleaning lady. But obvious that this is a slumlord getting by on the cheap. House really run down on the exterior. Owner had just been there as well. I guess I have higher standards.

Decent location. Roomy inside. Extremely poorly maintained exterior and grounds.

Was surprised to have to put sheets on our beds. Not clear where all towels were located. Bedrooms small and not well equipped. Ant problem. Lovely kitchen and great outdoors.
4.7
Actually false advertising. There is no beautiful outside seating area. Just a trashy pergola with weeds growing in the cracks of the patio. Not one flower or plant and the house is surrounded with weeds. And, this is the amenity that drew us to the property. Host was somewhat
difficult. Refused checkin info until 2 days before checkin date. Kitchen is not well equipped, except for very nice appliances. There is one wine glass. Most windows will not open and no screens. Bad, especially in bedrooms. No drawers in bedrooms so you have to live out of your suitcase. From our experience, with nicer properties, it is much over priced.
The house was clean. Plenty of nice towels and beach towels. Comfortable beds with nice bedding. Newer appliances and decent furnishings. We appreciated it being pet friendly, but would not consider coming back.

First of all, my friends and I (three couples in our mid-30s all friends from college) had a great time and enjoyed our time in Charlevoix staying at Stephanie’s place. That said, there were a few things that kept me from giving a 4 or 5 star rating.
Pros:
-pictures were very accurate/representative of the space
-basement was cozy and gave a full second living room and a larger bedroom + bath for separation if needed
-appliances are new/updated
-property is close to town and has a great outdoor area/backyard (ours was a winter stay sadly)
-bedrooms and beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets/pillows
-seamless streaming/television, two smart TVs with just about every app you could think of to log in with your accounts (and strong internet)
Cons:
-the back door coming in from the garage/driveway/breezeway had a doorknob that kept falling off and jamming/locking out the door. We reached out after a few days but unfortunately it was not to be fixed until after we left.
-while the property overall was clean and tidy, the jets in the bathtub were all moldy, which was a particular challenge in that one of the couples had a young child that required baths. Stephanie did send her cleaner over (which we appreciated), however we didn’t know she was coming and the bathroom was occupied so she couldn’t address.
-we had to make up our own beds and found some mold on some decorative pillows
-Our stay was the week between Christmas and New Years and there had been snow the day of our arrival and a few times over our stay resulting in about 4 inches of snow. The snow was not shoveled at any point during our stay which made it difficult to walk the dog and get in and out (especially as the street was plowed, blocking us in a bit). Someone was supposed to come by Saturday morning, but we checked out by 10 and no one had.
-The house was generally well appointed, but the kitchen less so. The few pots and pans that were there were pretty beat up and we actually ended up buying a new inexpensive pot as given the pandemic we had to rely on cooking more than carry out.
Overall while the location is prime (more so for summer) and we stayed during a prime week, the location was a bit overpriced for what you get given my experiences with other properties in other cities, especially considering the pros and cons above, but nothing that will spoil your trip or leave you disappointed. You just might not be raving about it when you get home.

Great House in Good Location
This home was really clean, check-in was easy, and there was plenty of room for all seven of us. I also appreciate that it was pet friendly, as we like to bring our 7-pound Yorkie mix with us wherever we go. Downtown Charlevoix is within walking distance, which is also nice, and the house is located in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is a bit tight, but there is plenty of room to spread out otherwise. Overall, the place is really comfortable and perfect for larger groups.

Great Fall Colors house
Greg location and a remodeled home. Great stay and recommended for other. We had 6, but it sleeps 8 easily, 10 when leveraging all beds.

Great family week away!
Perfect space for separation between two families. Grandparents enjoyed having their separate basement space. Location was convenient to local beaches and downtown Charlevoix. We traveled with a 3 and 4 year old and they enjoyed running around in the yard and even played a little tennis, as the courts are very conveniently located. We would stay again!
4.7
Perfect Vacation Spot
The house was exactly what we needed for two families with 3 kids between us - plenty of space, clean, and completely updated. The location is fab too - 20 min walk to downtown and a 10 min walk to Depot Beach, a favorite of the kids. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely book this place again.

cute ranch house in charlevoix
This house is tucked in a nice neighborhood near the north side of Charlevoix. It is within easy walking distance of Depot Beach and a longer walk to downtown. The house was clean and had everything we could want for cookware. The upstairs bedrooms are on the smaller side, but big enough for our family and friends. The tennis courts behind the house were perfect for our kids to get some wiggles out and the Lake Michigan beaches are always lovely.
4.7
We Love UpNorth!
Great location, home is roomy, clean and comfortable! Easy walk to downtown, Depot Beach and Lake Michigan. Bike trail close by! Only suggestion is to replace worn out cookware/skillets.

Summer vaca
Great location and access to golf, tennis and beach all within a very short walk was great for kids to stay active
4.7
Wonderful house, great location!
This is a nicely appointed, decorated, and clean house. Located just outside of town, but super close to a lot of great beaches and shopping and restaurants. And not too far to Petoskey, for a change of scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here, and hope to be back next summer! Owner was great at communicating, before the trip as well as on our trip. Thank you so much for everything!

Charmy house in a lovely city
This house is very charmy and well located. My family loved our stay. The house was very well equipped and everything was very clean. We will definitely come back during summer.

Beautiful Home
My friends and I had a lovely time at this house in Charlevoix. Easy (beautiful) walk to downtown. Fun to be next to the tennis courts. Easy to walk to golf course. The house was clean and well taken care of. Spacious enough for 4 couples. Great backyard for grilling.
