The central location (I lived in DSM for 32 years) is ideal. The decor was nice. The kitchen was well equipped. The bath spotless. The bed excellent. Air conditioning was quiet and uniform.
2 small quibbles. #1 The listing said basic cable TV. We never could find familiar or local channels. A sheet of directions/channels for the TV would have been nice. #2 Where were the paper towels in the kitchen?

The location was beautiful. The property was quiet and relaxing which is just what we were looking for. I was able to enjoy my coffee on the patio in the morning. The room was very nice and clean. The kitchen had coffee and sugar available. There were plenty of dishes available to use. The only thing that could that may be an issue for someone is the bed hurt our backs, but there are 2 beds and we only tried one. Someone else noted, and it's worth mentioning if your traveling for business, that the bathroom door does not seal so it is not soundproof. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.

The property was eye catching and very well maintained. The apartment was immaculate, very well apportioned with all the stated amenities. If you want to get away from the hotel/motel stay, this is the place to stay. Awesome rustic neighborhood. The proprietor was gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

It was a neat rooom!! It was smaller than it looks though.
And the bathroom has a barn door so isn't verrrry private.. which isn't a big deal.. but worth mentioning.
Kind of just an fyi.FYI.. this website let's you book a later check out than they allow.
Our check out was 5.. I think she said their latest is 1pm..
It was honestly a great experience.. but I thought that part is worth mentioning.

A hidden gem in Des Moines! Everything you could need and more was found in this spacious loft!

We liked the privacy and being able to sit out on the patio. The door entry keyless pad was so easy to use. We felt safe.

Beautiful property inside and outside. Love the heated bathroom floor! easy to find. So clean it looked brand new. Thank you!
Check the lever on the stool. Two times it stuck and kept running but I just pushed the handle up.

Amazingly clean place. Such a fun and interesting space. A great and very walkable neighborhood. Host was always available but not at all intrusive. Loved the outdoor patio too. Will be back again for sure!

The home and neighborhood are both beautiful. The room was very spacious and well equipped. It is unfortunate that it was only a one day stay for us because it would have been great to spend more time in the property and the area.

Can't say enough about this place. Incredibly clean, comfortable, equipped and a great location. Not to mention great interactions with very friendly owners.
