Cuando nuestro hermano falleció y nos dejó su hermosa casa, decidimos que la mejor manera de honrar su memoria sería compartirla con los demás. Lo llamó Vaquero (en español, "Caballero") debido a su amor por los caballos. La propiedad incluye un establo de tres establos con almacenamiento seguro para bicicletas y otros equipos. El pasto bordea el French Broad River en la parte posterior de la propiedad. Planeamos completar las reparaciones de la valla pronto para que podamos acomodar caballos en el futuro cercano.

We loved staying here, very clean and homey!
We loved the back yard and deck- very pretty area.
Only concern was with our dogs the property was not technically fenced in by the road so they could have ran out onto the street but other than that was the perfect property.

This property is an excellent base for activities in the Brevard area. A pastoral setting, this farmhouse is out in the countryside but within minutes of Pisgah/Brevard. We will use this home again.

The house was perfect for our short vacation. The house was very well maintained and clean. The pictures don't do the house justice. Very well decorated and well stocked with everything you need for your stay. The grounds are fantastic, with an assortment that can be enjoyed right from the screened porch.
The location allows easy access for anything you want to do, Will definitely stay again.

We came from Charlotte so when we got to Brevard, it was too early for check in so we went right down the road from the house to Brevard Tubing and went tubing for two hours until check in was available. Once we arrived at the house, we instantly felt right at home. The house was very clean and private! The property itself was beautiful. The house has amazing views on the back deck. We spent the most time on the back decks but also sat by the pond and the Pergola on the property. The location was great as we ventured to Hooker Falls, Sliding Rock and good Looking Glass Falls for a fun filled adventure! We look forward to coming back! Thank you for your hospitality!

The pictures do not give this property justice of the peaceful beauty and surroundings it deserves. The owners have thought of everything to make this such a pleasant home to stay in, from the decorative flowers on the patio and around the property, to ensuring the lawn is freshly cut upon arrival, providing charcoal for us with the outdoor grill if we chose to use it and having each room set up so nicely, with adequate towels for the bathrooms and plenty of kitchen amenities that we needed for our stay. They even provided fish food for the small fish pond on the property so that we could enjoy feeding the fish each evening! We loved watching the sunset on the back porch area each night and just appreciated the space this home allowed 5 adults to gather for our annual reunion with other family in Brevard. We felt very comfortable in this home and just appreciate the location, the views of the valley and mountains and the peacefulness in the evening that it provided. Would most definitely stay with this property again without hesitation!

Very peaceful; especially enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch. Good access to hiking and Brevard. We did have a problem with the water being cloudy at first and actually brown in one of the tubs. It cleared up after a few days. Not sure what the problem was. We did not call about it. We also couldn’t figure out how to change the thermostat settings. Next time we will call about these 2 things. But we loved the house and the great views.

This is the second year we’ve rented this house as overflow space for family holiday gathering. It is just perfect. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable and we appreciated the large TV for sports. The view of frost covered fields from the kitchen was so beautiful. Property is close to Brevard for groceries and shopping. We’ll be back again.

The property was very clean when we arrived. So peaceful and quiet. Although the weather was not perfect we enjoyed the property and especially the screened in porch. The fact that we could bring our extended family (fur babies) made it even more wonderful. We will surely be visiting again.

This house is located between Pisgah Forest and Dupont State Forest and is close to many of the area breweries. We enjoyed the views in the evening from both the inside and outside decks. Only the cool weather kept us away from the pond in the evenings. The yard had plenty of space for our 2 dogs to run and play. I would definitely rent this again.

After cancelling our beach vacation because of hurricane Ian, I found this property and I'm really glad I did. It's a great location just outside of Brevard and the home was the perfect size for me, my wife, and our miniature dachshund. Easy access to Brevard, Pisgah, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had a great meal at the Salty Landing in Etowah and the sunset viewing from the porch is outstanding. Property manager was attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommended.

This place was a great 6-night getaway for us during the school March Break in Ontario. Conveniently located for sightseeing, shopping and cycling. Also brought our dog, and although the property is a little close to a busy road, we were still able to give her some air and exercise on the property. House was clean, and the two of us that are cyclists appreciated the lockable cycle storage room in the barn. Great base of operations for a relaxing getaway.

March Break Getaway
This place was a great 6-night getaway for us during the school March Break in Ontario. Conveniently located for sightseeing, shopping and cycling. Also brought our dog, and although the property is a little close to a busy road, we were still able to give her some air and exercise on the property. House was clean, and the two of us that are cyclists appreciated the lockable cycle storage room in the barn. Great base of operations for a relaxing getaway.

House was clean, kitchen pretty well stocked with actual useable equipment. Fish pond with fish food provided was cute. We didn't even realize we could feed them for a few days. Grill didn't light but we didn't look into it. The road is a little busy but not noisy. Overall one of the nicer ones we have stayed at. Only suggestion would be to fence an area to let dogs run.

First trip to Brevard was great
This was our first trip to Brevard and we loved this town. The shopping, restaurants, and hiking. Keep in mind if you visit Brevard, several of the shops and restaurants are close Sunday-Tuesday.
This house was great for a family of 4. Would not suggest for a larger group. The house has a great yard and decks for enjoying the Mountain Views. Communication with the property manager was good, all through text.
Make sure you pack your own Roku because there is not a smart TV at the house. I would rent again for sure.

We rented Vaquero to be near extended family at Christmas. It was a perfect location, a few miles away from their place, and close to Brevard, hiking, walking trails. The house itself has a beautiful view of fields and mountains from the deck or screened porch. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked. Added bonus is the gazebo and fish pond, a relaxing setting to enjoy a warm Christmas day. The place is beautifully maintained, all the comforts of home.

We stayed at Vaquero for eight nights and enjoyed each minute.The home is comfortable and has everything you would need. The king bed is very comfortable and the home was extremely clean. It was very close to Brevard and about 25 minutes from Hendersonville. Thank you for allowing us to stay with our two pups. They enjoyed the large yard and we were able to see the farmer who leases the hay field bale up the hay.
