We came away from this spot so energized and pleased that it's hard to put it in writing. Evelyn was great helping us get ready for our stay. The house was immaculate, much cleaner than many hotels I've used. And it just has so much room. It's in the perfect spot - out of the way yet not too far away so you can get to a grocery store in a few minutes. Everyone said that they would like to come back for another stay.

The downside: you bring your own sheets and towels. The upside: pretty much everything else. 3 bunk beds with 3, 3 and 4 beds plus a room with queen sized bed for the people in charge gives great flexibility for hosting people; the dining room table seats 12 and there are comfortable couches and a nice ski decor. We went in the summer; can't comment on how easy the driveway would be in the winter.

This property has sleeping room for the entire family and a great room with lots of areas for relaxing as well as large dining area. Kitchen is well equipped with access to a spacious deck with a grill and furniture. Just watch out for the bear in the kitchen! (Totally tame of course!)

This is the second time that we have stayed in Evelyn’s cabin. We loved it so much the first time, we booked again. This last visit was for our son’s graduation from Norwich University; therefore, I don’t know when the next time we’ll return to Vermont. If and when we do come back for a visit, I’ll be contacting Evelyn again. Thank you, Evelyn! You’ve made the VRBO experience extremely smooth and easy.

We had a great time staying here for a guys Ski Trip to sugarbush. Great big room to hang out and relax with the group after a day of skiing. kitchen worked well for us to cook breakfast and dinner. Good location as it's a very short drive to Sugarbush Resort. Would stay there again with a group of we ski Sugarbush.

This is a great ski house. It was just my daughter and me staying here. The house was very clean and comfy. Plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots/pans/utensils/appliances you need. Checkin process and owner communication was easy. It is very close to Waitsfield shops and restaurants. You will definitely need AWD/4WD to get up the dirt road to the house, it was pretty muddy when we were there. I would rent this place again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ski weekend. Plenty of room for us. Fifteen minutes to Sugarbush and to Mad River Glen. Comfy place. Great layout and amenities. We would definitely rent from this gracious host again.

We are repeat customers for this property and very much enjoy the location, close to downtown Waitsfield, and to Sugarbush.
Evelyn is a very gracious host and it is very easy to communicate, check in and the area. We love the space for many people to spread out, has a great deck off the kitchen to hang out on with a grill. There is plenty of room to handle a larger crown around the living room and dining area. It is a pleasure to be able to rent this property and we will definitely be back.

We were in Vermont for my son's graduation from college. We ended up having a total of 9 people in our group staying with us. The chalet was well equipped and suitable for our needs. Evelyn and her son Jeff were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Only downside were the beds, but that's most places. Would definitely stay here (possibly in two years when my other son graduates)

We had a fun few days in this great spot! Awesome location near everything in Waitsfield. Minutes from the mountains, swimming holes, shops and restaurants (and Lawson’s finest liquids). Very private and peaceful location up a hill with two nice decks that feel like a tree house. We’ll definitely come back!

this home is a classic "ski club" vibe,,, three bedroom downstairs with bunk beds and one bedroom upstairs. smallish kitchen but a great open liviing room dining room community room (with decks off two sides) great for family gatherings

Nice location, takes about 12 minutes to Sugarbush resort. When arrived, the places got some issues like sinks not draining, light switch not working and carbon monoxide alarm no battery. But the owerner was very responsive and sent in people to fix quickly next morning. Got a nice kitchen and living room. Love the big table. You can sit 10 people easy.
You need to bring in your own bedding sheets, pillow, shower towels. The top bunk bed has no bars to prevent falling. So some of us could only squeeze with kid in a single bed. The place is good with 8 people, unless you want to sleep the top bunk bed and living room.

Great location, right up hill from Waitsfield and quiet. Close to Sugarbush, Mt. Ellen and Mad River Glen. Pet friendly. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and listening to the birds. Plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen well stocked. This would be a great ski house for a big group!

Owner was very easy to deal with. The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Location is very convenient to all three ski areas, grocery store, and restaurants. Our son loved the little loft over the kitchen. Lovely and light filled upstairs. A great place to spend a ski week.

We just visited for a ski trip to Sugarbush with our 2 kids (14 and 9) and our Australian Shepherd. The house was terrific. We loved the open layout of the main floor, everything worked perfectly, the ski resort was conveniently close and the little town of Waitsfield just down the hill is charming.

Comfortable ski house nestled in the Mad River Valley. Comfortably sleeps 14. Kitchen well outfitted. Close to town. Recommend Bluestone for artisan pizza. Recommended. Will definitely keep in mind for future ski plans

We stayed here for Norwich University parent's weekend, which was also Columbus Day weekend. The weather was not good, but when we did have visibility the views were awesome. I recommend you drive around the neighborhood (on the hill) to truly appreciate the views.
The house has plenty of sleeping and everyone was comfortable. There was enough seating in the large living room and at the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped, including large pans, spices and some condiments.
The only problem we had was finding the place on a dark, rainy night. The house numbering system does not seem to make sense.
Evelyn was very easy to work with.
I thought that my daughter would want to stay closer to campus next year, but she loved the house and is already suggesting we stay here again.

I took a group of students to this place for a theater retreat. The owner was incredibly accommodating, and the property was wonderful, both in general and for our special purposes. The house is in impeccable condition, and you can tell that the priorities in recent renovations were quality and aesthetic concerns; it was super clean when we arrived, is well appointed (the kitchen had everything we needed to cook for 12 people), the wood stove was both very efficient and cozy, and the house's floor plan is very convenient, allowing for both social togetherness and privacy when needed. I slept in a very cute loft-like upstairs bed "cove", with the stars right above my head when I fell asleep, most other bedrooms feature four bunk beds that are perfectly comfortable when you are not looking for luxury accommodation but congenial atmosphere. If you need a place where to spend quality time with a bigger group of people, away from everything, this is definitely a great pick. We went in April, and there was still some snow of on the mountains just across from the living room window. It must be spectacular in winter!
