A little walk to the beach

We have so many good things to say about this place. It was maintained to an excellent standard and it felt like a home away from home. Many little details that made this place stand out—the laundry area with laundry detergent provided, being able to fill up potable water, the cutleries and plates in the room, the always freshly laundered linens and towels as well as the excellent selection of TV channels. It may not look like the fanciest resort in town but I guarantee you one of the most comfortable stays you’d have in the Philippines. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Loved everything! The pool was great! & the hot tub too! We had a kitchen outside. It was always clean, well-stocked and everything was covered. Friendly staff & owner, always ready to help. It’s peaceful and quiet. I enjoyed the short walk away from all the noisy places.

Sorry to wait so long to comment after the trip, the stay was an unexpectedly perfect experience. First of all, in terms of price, it is very cost-effective, cheap but safe and comfortable and has a certain degree of privacy. In terms of facilities, the equipment is very complete, even a kitchen, refrigerator, microwave oven. The facilities in the room are a little simple, but very clean, you can see the master's careful preparation. In terms of scenery, I really like the garden and the pool, the night swimming experience is good, go out in the morning and see the garden scenery makes people feel good, and it is really comfortable to sit in the garden and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the rain after playing. Most importantly, the boss and staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, helping us contact the driver and tour guide, providing a shower break after we came back from the beach, and helping us when we needed hot water... I really appreciate the people here helping us with our journey. We only have two girls, but it gives us warmth and security.

Great location. Less than 10mins to Alona beach by foot. 1mins to the famous restaurants. 5mins to the massage shop. Kind owner Sir. Many and staffs are very welcoming.

Location was great (very close to all the action) Very clean and the staff were very helpful but also not invasive of your personal space. Rooms were spacious and a nice personal terrace with table and fridge

great location tucked away from the main road next door to a lovely coffee place (Shaka) and lots of shops and restaurants. 10 mins walk to Alona beach! staff were very friendly and helpful with organising excursions inland with an excellent driver! They were very kind and caring people that helped us when my partner cut his foot on coral, even getting us the right medication to make sure it didn’t get infected. Rooms were large and cosy and the pool was lovely for a morning swim. Best place to stay in Alona beach!

The cabin accommodation was really impressive. The pool was kept immaculate. A sanctuary only 5 minutes walk from the very hectic alona beach.

Liked location and value. Also very clean. Able to see very few ants inside the room, but not on the bed, mostly near the door which is understandable. Hot water provided and water was clean.

The room light was a bit dark for me. Not bright enough. But i couldn't open the curtains because the front side is facing the road of hotel, and someone could see inside. Although the doors and windows are tinted to prevent outsiders to see through inside, but it didn't assure me.

the girls at the front desk were incredibly helpful, booked me great tours and were very friendly! The room was always clean and the bed was even made several times... The pool was nice and you often had it to yourself! it was great!

The resort caters to travelers' needs! Situated just 10 mins away from the beach, you can consider this place as a quiet haven because it's quite away from the road but has its own pool that you can use for whenever the Bohol heat is too much. Was able to work well too during my stay as I work remotely. The staff are soo kind and would really make sure you're taken care of. You can also request for your room to be cleaned and when they do, they clean it very well!

Nothing really... I'm sure if there is, as this part is very subjective, as long as the resort is told about it, then they'd surely do something about it so they can improve.

One of our favourites places we've stayed in 3.5 months of travelling. The room was so spacious and clean and with the kitchen area, it felt more like an apartment. Set in lovely grounds with a beautiful pool. Very close to all the action and yet super peaceful. Unlimited drinking water and extreme friendly and helpful staff and owner.

I like the quietness and coziness of the place. Its very clean and far from the noise, so you can definitely sleep and rest well. Secondly, it so near in Alona beach, maybe around 10mins walk or less. It's in central so goods, foods, drink, and banks are nearby the place. This is our first trip in Bohol as family with two senior citizen who definitely enjoy the walking without getting hassle with transportation because its very accessible. The staffs are so accomodating, helpful and smiling face. The owner is so kind as well.

Maybe the weather at that time because its raining and were not able to see the good view of chocolate hills and other scenery there.

I really like the cleanliness of the room and the comfort that it gave us. The CR was so clean which the most important thing to me. The room is so spacious with ref, microwave and utensils. So nice that you can request to have them clean your room everyday and they will change all your beddings and towels. The staff are so nice and courteous.

Narrow driveway that we opt for our service to pick us up at the highway street than to give the driver hard time picking us up at the lobby.

We extended our stay an extra night and are so happy we did. we could have stayed longer. The facilities and location were fantastic. The staff were friendly, professional and respectful. wifi worked well. Room kept very clean, surrounding areas of the property well maintained. Pool lovely. we loved the seating area in our balcony, the hot water showers, all the consideration for the conveniences for guests that made our stay comfortable. Our bungalow was detached and quiet. We slept very well!

We stayed 10 nights at Alona Austria Resort and loved it.The property is well-maintained, with attention to every detail to accommodate a guest’s needs, like an area to wash sand off at the entrance, a handwash laundry area with a spinning machine, collapsible outdoor drying rack, umbrella, a good amount of indoor hanging space for clothes, drinking water refills, and instant coffee.Our room was the perfect size for a couple with hot water shower room (with bathmat, shampoo/bodywash, hand towel), a small kitchenette (with microwave, sink, fridge and kettle, dishwashing liquid, washing up towel, basic utensils, bottle opener). The bed was very comfortable & wifi worked very well. There were a couple brief power cuts in the evenings around 10 or 11 pm during our stay but the generator kicked in immediately. We loved our room, a wooden bungalow with a generous balcony overlooking the pool. The room was equipped with a really good (and quiet) AC, an oscillating fan, bedside reading lamps, and window screens. It was nice to have the windows open for fresh air, without mosquitos flying in. The room was also maintained by housekeeping each day, usually with a fresh topsheet and pillowcases, and bath towels. We really appreciated this service, and coming back to a tidy clean room.The staff and owner were accommodating and friendly, helping us rent a motorbike. The owner, who lives on-site, made us feel safe and even shared some of his Austrian cake with us. The location is great. It’s a small hotel set back off the main road, and the other guests were very respectful and quiet, so we had a beautifully peaceful and relaxing time and could have easily stayed much longer. The hotel is also located only about 7 minutes walk to the beach front (as well as only about 10 - 15 minutes on a tuktuk from Bohol-Panglao Airport) with many amenities , restaurants, bars, nearby. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was really perfect, there is nothing much to add, but maybe to have warm led bulbs instead of cool white., which would make the room feel even more ambient. A small filter coffee maker would be a bonus.
