Me alojé aquí por un fin de semana. ¡Es una casa encantadora con una gran vista del agua y muchas cosas que hacer! ¡El espacio es ideal para reuniones familiares debido a que todas las habitaciones grandes tienen cada una esencialmente sus propios baños! La cocina está actualizada y es un espacio divertido para compartir compañía y comida. ¡Hay una parrilla en la parte posterior perfecta para asar todas tus proteínas y vegetales! Canasta de baloncesto disponible para todos los atletas y kayaks para explorar las vastas aguas. No estás muy cerca de los vecinos y realmente te sientes como una escapada perfecta del ajetreo de la ciudad. ¡Reserva esto ahora! ¡No te arrepentirás!

Me alojé en otras casas de vacaciones frente a la playa, incluidas las de California, nada tan comparable como alojarse aquí. Acampamos cerca de nuestro bote y pudimos disfrutar de los tubos, la natación, el sitio, el piragüismo, la pesca de cangrejos y la pesca. En tierra hay juegos para niños, wifi para películas, baloncesto .... Esperamos volver a alojarme aquí de nuevo!

Me alojé aquí con amigos y familia durante un largo fin de semana y lo pasamos de maravilla! Pasé el tiempo en kayak durante el día en las aguas tranquilas, a pocos metros de la casa. Un montón de actividades para los niños como descubrir pequeños cangrejos en la playa, baloncesto arriba y afuera para ver películas en la PS4.
Esta casa es preciosa desde la decoración hasta las vistas panorámicas! El maestro tiene vistas panorámicas de la bahía y un balcón que casi envuelve todo el piso superior. Un montón de espacio y habitaciones para toda la familia! La cocina está equipada con todo lo que pueda necesitar, incluyendo una nevera separada para enfriar el vino. ¡Definitivamente volveré a reservar aquí y lo he recomendado a todos mis amigos y familiares!

Wonderful place for our large family

Our family of 9 had a wonderful stay in Belfair. The home was the perfect size for our family and had all amenities we could have asked for. The location is perfect - just 10 minutes from the gas station, coffee shops and the grocery store. There is a great taco truck next to the winery and a wonderful tattoo parlor in this area too. Tuyen was very responsive to all our questions; we did have some issues with getting the doors to open but was no fault to the owners, however she was very helpful. We rented the kayaks and paddle board which our family enjoyed. We saw the seals with their pups, otters and lots of crabs along the beach. Thank you for the wonderful memories! We will come back again one day!

This beach home of 3800+ sq footage was perfect for our 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 4-7) for our first family gathering. Loved the flooring on the main floor, the large couch accommodations couldn’t be better for all ten of us to view shows on the large TV, kitchen was a great size for 4 people to prepare meals at the same time. The upstairs was the kids own bonus room with the air hockey and hoop ball activities as well as their own comfy couch for their shows. However, with the fantastic weather we had, they were outside on the beach or riding with their parents on the kayaks, playing hide and seek outside and completing their Gramma’s infamous scavenger hunt around the property. I couldn’t have picked a better place for both children and adults to enjoy on our weekend. We all wished it could have been longer. I can’t express our enjoying this “piece of heaven on earth” enough. Thank you Hung Family for our amazing weekend!

One of the best rentals my friends and I have stayed at to date. This home is just as beautiful as the pictures, if not more so. The backyard and its access to the water is the best feature of this property. We were able to kayak and fish which was relaxing and wonderful after spending a long day visiting Seattle.
A lot of other rentals in the area were smaller, more expensive, or didn't have any features that made them worth staying at. The home is stocked with several kayaks, a paddle board and an abundance of life jackets. We hadn't thought parking was going to be a plus, but this property has a large private parking area down a fairly private road.
We brought five cars and it was still very spacious parking. Tuyen - the property manager/owner was extremely attentive to our needs and requests. She catered our welcome package with snacks and wine and prepped the house prior to our arrival.
Her husband Thomas was also very accommodating. He answered a house call to address a small issue with the house and he even brought us cinnamon rolls and oysters.
When we inquired about recreational fishing, he left rods and information about the chum count and tide times.
This home itself was able to fit several adults comfortably and had additional air mattresses as well, with most rooms giving adequate privacy. We totally enjoyed the beach and water. The house is large enough for 4 or 5 couples or multiple small families. It is quiet and nicely remote from the road for safety and noise.

Family reunion
We had 12 people from 4-75 for a family reunion. Kids room was good but really only works for 3 kids, although we also had an air mattress in that room. Adults all had nice beds, although one of the bedrooms didn’t have a closet. Master bedroom is Hugh and we slept the 4 year old in there with her parents. We had a wonderful time, the grounds, beach, tidal area were great. Using the kayaks and the paddle boards was the kids favorite activity. Kitchen was large, even with several people working in it. With all of us we could have used more sitting in living area. My biggest concerns were that kids bathroom had barn door on bathroom, and teenage girls want total privacy. Also the master bedroom doesn’t have blinds on doors, and gets light very early in June. House was clean, had lots of kid activities, and we had a good time.

What a great place and location!
I want to just open this review up by saying that we couldn't be happier with our stay at Shoofly Creek. Tuyen was great to work with and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Now the details:
We wanted to rent a place where our spread out family could all get together for the holidays. There were 12 of us this year. Throughout the process of booking and preparing for the stay, Tuyen was incredibly communicative and accommodating. She even decorated the house with a tree and Christmas decorations for us! The instructions for entering the house were clear and well laid out as well as the description of amenities.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome gift basket of snacks, wine, and even a couple of toys for any kids we would have brought. We felt this was incredibly thoughtful. The house was beautiful and had plenty of room for everyone. We all commented that it was one of the best stocked vacation rentals we have seen with regards to appliances and a well supplied kitchen. We arrived in the evening so we didn't get to enjoy the view until the morning but we definitely weren't disappointed. There is an awesome creek that runs alongside the property with Kingfishers that were great to watch. The canal was therapeutic to look at through the wide open windows and there is a family of seals that hangs out front as well as otters and eagles. The amount of shoreline that gets exposed at low tide is impressive.
The house worked really well for us and would be even better if we were a family that had younger children as they have set it up to cater to them with a large rec room upstairs with all kinds of games as well as plenty of room outside for them to run and explore.
In the end, this place was exactly what we needed and think it would be even better to stay in the summer to enjoy the water on a different level. Thank you Tuyen and Tom for allowing us into your beautiful home. You have a special place there.

Perfect family getaway!
We had such a lovely time at this place in hood canal! Perfect amount of space for our large family. Really appreciated the highchairs, baby bath and and toys that were readily available for use. We had 3 babies under 2 and it was so nice to take advantage of that. Would recommend as family friendly and to anyone looking to be by the water.

Great for a large group, our family was very comfortable. The beach access was awesome. Could have used some shade on the hot days, but otherwise a lovely spot. Excellent communication with property managers - almost immediate replies with our questions - and they gave us complete privacy.

Loved this property so much. The views were amazing. Sleeping accommodations were perfect and so much to see and do. They were so great to work with and helped with anything at any moment. We truly enjoyed this trip and hope to make it back in the years to come!!

Great for groups w kids
We just finished a lovely 6 day stay w 3 kids and 6 adults. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and for the adults to hang out. The stairs are a bit precarious for our two early walkers so we kept a close eye on them. Despite one baby doing a LOT of crying at night, the rest of us slept—no problem. Good insulation between floors!
The kitchen is spacious w lots of room for lots of cooks and easy access to the backyard to enjoy meals outside. The view is fantastic, the sunsets a peachy pink.
The garage of toys, bikes, scooters was a hit w the kids. The adults kayaked daily. We played in the hood canal a few times a day and my preschooler mastered blowing bubbles through her nose in the warm waters. We saw tons of baby crabs. Lots of ocean learning.
It’s a great spot to come w a group and cook meals together, enjoy the PNW beauty together, and recharge. We’ve already started thinking about coming back.

Amazing memorable getaway
My wife and I had the most amazing time at this waterfront property. There’s a ton of wildlife you can see from the backyard and the views are just breathtaking. The hosts were very accommodating and have great suggestions for food and activities to do in town in a neat little guest book. We ordered the best pizza I’ve ever had based on those suggestions. The house is huge and cozy! We can’t wait once COVID is over to take family and friends. We’ve been to a lot of rentals but this one was by far the best one we’ve ever stayed at.

Nice Hood Canal Getaway
The property is large and as-described. There is, especially at low tide, a lot of tidepool and waterfront shoreline - many other properties are right against the water. The house was large and fairly well equipped. The game room was nice too. Some of the equipment is older and worn - there are bikes and toys provided but all were flat and the pump was broken. One thing to note is that there is no cell reception at the property - when you're arriving be sure to have your details saved from your email so you know the door codes, etc.

Wonderful time had by all
The house and location are wonderful. The whole family enjoyed the two kayaks, the views and the water. The house was nice. The kitchen could have been better equipped and the dishwater kept falling out when loading and unloading. The master bedroom has an incredible view but the bed was so hard my legs were numb when I woke up after the first night and had to sleep in another room after that. All in all though we loved our time at this special place.

Nice clean house surrounded with great nature. Easy to find everything from the first hour. Beautiful water frond with spectacular tides exchange. Recommend to anyone.

Lovely stay
This spacious yet cozy house was perfect for our family with three teenagers. The master has a spectacular view and deck, and plenty of rooms for everyone to have their own space, while still having plenty of spaces for family time. We enjoyed the indoor bonus room, basketball hoop, kayaks, excellent TVs. The lot is huge so there is relative privacy and the house has an unusually large amount of tideland. Tuyen was so incredibly responsive- it makes such a difference! The prior guests had left a bit of a disaster on the morning of our arrival and Tuyen was so great communicating with us about it, even arranged for a new kayak and fans to arrive during our visit and waived our cleaning fee. The kitchen is layed out perfectly for cooking for a large group and watching the canal. It wasn’t as well stocked as other places we’ve stayed but all the essentials were there and there was a nice welcome gift of wine and snacks. Kids didn’t want to leave and we’re already planning when to go back. Success!!

Great house for a weekend getaway
Our family had a wonderful time at this house! Very spacious with plenty of room for all of us, and the kids even had their own bedrooms which was nice. Amazing views from the living room and master bedroom, peaceful surroundings and beautiful sunrises.
Not the most ideal location for swimming as the tide shallows go pretty far out, but seemed like great kayaking (was too hot for us to try). Fire pit and basketball by the water are great perks.
Well apportioned with plenty of amenities and entertainment options inside as well. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat or fun for the whole family.

Memories made!
We made a very spontaneous trip to celebrate my dad's birthday and everything was better than expected! The house was clean and large with plenty of space for the group to stretch out in.
The host was SUPER responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us and to make the trip that much more enjoyable. The property is beautiful and we made use of the kayaks, bikes and toys! Thank you for hosting my family - we have amazing memories from this trip!

Wonderful Thanksgiving getaway
We came here for our 1st annual Thanksgiving getaway and it was just what we all needed. Perfect location, great amenities and space for a big family. Had so much fun kayaking, playing games, sitting around the fire pit and spending time with family.
Would love to come back and will recommend this place to everybody.

Great multi-family getaway
We had 4 couples and 4 2-year-olds and there was still plenty of space for us all in this place! The owners were very communicative to work with and the house worked very well for our group.
I will say it might be a bit more comfortable as a late-spring to early-fall rental rather than winter, as the cabin has unheated stone floors through the ground floor and not much carpet. The space heaters had to work pretty hard to keep up in the 35-45 degree weather we had.
Overall, really wonderful place. We may return next year, it was so easy to be here with the kiddos.

Definitely 5 stars!
This house is amazing! The layout is perfect for multiple families and anyone with kids! Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms makes it convenient for all. The location is AMAZING, and the kids played for HOURS on the beach and little creek, and using the basketball hoop. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean, cozy, quiet, and feels very safe. The owners were responsive, helpful, and very friendly. We will definitely stay here when we visit the area again!

Shoofly Trip
Tuyen and Tom have everything you can possibly need at the house. There's plenty of activities to do around the house to keep everyone entertained and we had a great time out on the kayaks. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to host and entertain a larger group!

Great vacation
My family had a wonderful time at the Shoofly house. It was comfortable and clean with lots to do. Sailing was good when the wind blew and the water was warm enough to swim. The owners communicated with me at every step of the process and the neighbors were kind and helpful. I recommend this place for a large gathering. We hope to rent again.

Beautiful House!!!
We had a fantastic stay with our family mini get away trip. The house was great and felt like your own home. You have everything you need to settle and enjoy the whole stay. Convenient stores or market stores are just in distance away if you need to get anything. However, the house had everything you need already.
The rooms were spacious. My kids loved the play area. You can enjoy the ocean view during day time along with outside fire pit at night time. And oysters...plenty of them for you to catch (license and limit required though :)
Kayaks and bikes were available to use...we love those but only found out on our last day to leave. For sure we'll be back soon.

Relaxing summer trip with family
This home was large enough for our extended family of 13 from ages 8 to 75. We enjoyed staying there. Well furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. A nice area/patio to sit outside in and enjoy the view.
It was an easy drive from Seattle and was right by the water. The kitchen area is great for cooking for a large group. That patio is very relaxing. The only thing that we missed is that we enjoy taking morning walks but there really aren’t any sidewalks to just take a walk from the house around the area. It is however very easy to drive to nearby trails and parks.

Amazing house for family reunion/vacation!
This house on Hood Canal has a lot of activities for people of all ages! It was an amazing place for our family reunion from Canada and US. Getting there by ferry or all highway, was a beautiful journey through the rural scenery. Hood Canal reminded how relaxing it would be to live next to a body of water. Our arrival had a welcome kit of snacks and drinks for us to quick refuel after the journey.
After unloading groceries and unpacking luggages, everyone eagerly headed out to the backyard to explore the water front. We were amazed with how far the tide receded to reveal the marine life - baby crabs, starfish, jellyfish, clams, mollusks, barnacles, tiny shell snails, and oysters! It was so fun to see the kids get excited discovering the marine life.
We ate outdoors, under the blue skies, with the cool breeze, and the view of the water - and this was the first few hours upon arrival! For the next few days, we did a variety of activities that the host provided.
They provided 4 kayaks with life vests for everyone to enjoy the water. I would say almost ALL of us kayaked, from 5 year old to 65 year old. The water was so calm, the coast line was so beautiful, and almost no one were in the water. Some of us kayaked almost 3 miles one way!
The kids and adults loved to swim in the canal because they saw small fish and sea plants. The kids play along the shore, digging up things, building water channels, throwing rocks, and just having a fun time. We enjoyed walking along the shore for almost 5 miles when it was low tide. Great way to relax and get your body moving at the same time!
The house provided 5 bikes with helmets for us to bike along the canal. It was fun but I wouldn't recommend the kids to bike because some areas, had no shoulder to ride.
The host provided Playstation 4 with games, a basketball shooting station, air hockey table, board games, movies, books. There is a basketball hoop outdoors, with ocean view.. WOW!
The house is located 1.5 hours away from Olympic National Park where we hiked some amazing Washington landscape. There was the lavender farm that will amaze your senses. The nearest supermarket is only a 15 min drive. The host was generous with amenities but brought our own because we respected their supplies.
We can't say enough about this house and spent a lot of time writing this review. This house and host deserves a long description of how wonderful our vacation was. We would love to come back here again!

Awesome house !
The house is very spacious with plenty of sleeping rooms and playing rooms. There is a large play/gathering area upstairs they kids really enjoy. There are 5 restrooms. Kitchen is fully remodeled. Nice TV with plenty of media choices. The yards are very large. 4 new kayaks. A basketball hoop in the back. Very nice shallow beach with shellfish.
PS. We would’ve appreciated sharper kitchen knives, a large stockpot and better non stick pans along with some large bowls.

Perfect getaway for our needs
Shoofly Creek Retreat was absolutely fantastic, and absolutely perfect for our needs. The grandparents occupied the bottom floor bedrooms and had easy access to the living area and outdoor patio. The view and property were beautiful, and so peaceful with the sound of the ocean tides. We enjoyed kayaking, harvesting oysters (bought some licenses for ourselves), took a hike in the nearby Olympic National Park, PS4, and generally hanging out and enjoying each others' company at your property.
The property was clean, spacious, and very well-equipped.
We were all so grateful that we found your place online through VRBO, and hope that we will have an opportunity to perhaps rent it again in the future!

Peaceful and relaxing!
This place is wonderful for families! Plenty of room for the kids to run and play and lots for them to do! The bikes, scooters, colored chalk, games, basketball goal, and kayak kept them busy. We watched sea otters and eagles, grilled, and relaxed on the patio. The owner was very accommodating to our big group and even left kid and adult treats on our arrival. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!
