This is an idyllic spot in Talloires! Our group of 9 had a wonderful time exploring the area and coming home to enjoy the amazing views and swimming in the pool! Agnes and Souria are the kindest caretakers of the property and Phillipe was very responsive with communications! We made magical family memories! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family home. 💗

This really is the most special place , we absolutely loved our time here , largely sitting around enjoying the spectacular views that are never quite the same on any given day. The house was immaculate and had plenty of toys for our small children to enjoy . I would thoroughly recommend it .

Really great house for a large group. Jaw-dropping views, great pool, great kitchen, great deck and living areas. The ping pong table was a highlight for us.
Some of the bedrooms and baths are new and some are quite old. They're all comfortable and the house works very well. It's an easy walk to town. Will definitely return.

Beautiful location with a breathtaking view. We loved it here and would love to return to this villa again.

Our group of 3 adults spent a wonderful week in Talloires at this spacious, beautifully-decorated and well-equipped 3-level home which offers enchanting views of gorgeous Lake Annecy from almost every room. The pool is large and beautiful. The rental, check-in and check-out process was very smooth, and the owner has been delightful to deal with. Talloires is a charming village, only an 8-minute walk from the house, and offers a wonderful local boulangerie, a variety of restaurants, and a small grocery store, as well as a variety of water recreation. The neighboring town of Menthon St Bernard also has restaurants and shopping.
The house would work especially well for families with children. The locations and layouts of the bathrooms and toilets could be a bit funky for a larger group of unrelated adults; but the charm and beauty of the home and the setting are paramount.
We loved our stay!

The villa we stayed in with my whole family was absolutely stunning. The view was the best I have ever seen, with breathtaking vistas of the lake and mountains. The town itself was incredibly beautiful, adding to the overall charm of our stay. I'm already counting down the days until I can return!

We had a large group (2 families) of around 12 stay in Philippe's stunning home in Talloires and it was an amazing experience. The pictures of the house online amazingly are even more incredible in person. The house has 3 levels and was very clean and comfortable. Our group stayed in Talloires without a car, which we found wasn't necessary. Talloires is a charming town with many excellent restaurant and bakery options. Everyone in town was extremely friendly. It was easy to make reservations at fantastic restaurants even for our large group size. Flora was our favorite higher end restaurant and there is also a fantastic casual restaurant down by the lake with great prices, outdoor seating, live music some nights and excellent pizzas, veggies bows, burgers, fish and chips, etc. We also did day trips on the free bus service from Talloires to Annecy, which is a much larger city but very beautiful. Our group enjoyed swimming and recreating at the lake every day and also enjoying the pool during parts of the day. The kitchen is large and had every amenity once could ask for, even a Nexpresso machine for great coffee. I would highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to this region of France. I would also recommend Talloires as the ideal location for exploring the Annecy area.

When booking this house, we were swayed by the beautiful pictures of the view of Lac d’Annecy. We were not disappointed, as in reality it is even better than the pictures, changing throughout the day with the light. The house was perfect for a large group, with many rooms overlooking the lake and several terraces where we could spread out. The house is located on a large property behind a gate leading to the main road leading to Talloires. It is a short walk to the town, where there is an excellent bakery, good restaurants, and a public beach. We cooked most of the time for 10-12 adults, and the kitchen and dining space was well suited for this many guests.
We used most everything the property had to offer a group of adults: heated pool, pétanque court, ping-pong and bbq grill. There are many walks that start from the house and the trails are well marked with beautiful vistas of the lake. This region has a lot to see, and the house is perfectly located as a home base.
Catherine, who helped us check in and out, was a joy to work when needed (rarely). And Philippe made the booking process easy. Overall, a peak experience!

Nothing can beat Lake Annecy and the surrounding Alps.
The view from this house is stunning. Every morning having a coffee looking at the lake is paradise.
Talloires is beautiful and has all the services. The house is comfortable and can host many people.
Communication with landlord and host manager was great and easy. Would highly recommend.

Special family holiday
We spent a lovely two weeks with three generations of family, a twice Covid postponed 80th birthday celebration for my parents. Very special memories for all of us. The villa was everything we expected and more, you can sit and watch that view for hours. Thank you to Catherine for a warm welcome and an unexpected pleasure to meet Philippe and Anne France in person during our stay. Would highly recommend this lovely home.

Talloires is magical
Simply put, we had the best holiday ever. The accommodation was faultless, the facilities were spot on, and the location was the best. Monsieur Bon is the perfect host and his home is un-rivalled.

Glorious situation!
The villa was in a perfectly peaceful and private location, where we loved the fantastic view and the pool. We particularly appreciated the comfortable seats in shade on the huge balcony which overlooked the lake where there was always something to watch: paddle boarders, boats, waterskiers and paragliders.

The villa offers much more than we expected: plenty of space and exquisite style; surely ideal also for 3 families of friends like our group. Perfect location to enjoy the surrounding

Magical and unforgettable
This is an amazing location, the views in all weathers surpass any other holiday experience. Thank you Philippe and Catherine for being so professional, helpful and flexible. I have just returned from a truly wonderful 60th birthday with friends/family, 10 altogether. Talloires is a great spot on the lake. Excellent food and drink at 1903 bistro and Cafe de la place, tabac ordered yummy croissant every morning as boulangerie closed, bus stop to Annecy close by, excellent supermarket at Menthon Bernard, boat trip very enjoyable, views from Col de la Fornaz breath taking and many walks from the door. We were privileged to have hot sun and snow, so experienced the magical place in all seasons! I cannot recommend this enough. Thank you, we will live off this for ever.

Beautiful house with a stunning view.
We have just returned from a week in this beautiful house. As everyone else has mentioned the view is absolutely stunning, I cannot express how our breath was taken away walking up the steps and looking out from the terrace. The view never gets boring and opening the bedroom shutters every morning was a pure joy. Catherine met us as arranged and was very friendly and showed us everything we needed to know about the house. A lot of our time was spent in the heated pool which was wonderful. There is also a trampoline and swing set which was well used by our four year old. The house has lots of rooms so everyone can get their own space and time when they want to. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could ever need. There are lots of bedrooms in the house, all of ours were set up on the top floor and although two have en suite bathrooms only one of them has a toilet so everyone else used the toilet along the corridor. There is one other bathroom on the top floor with a lovely big shower and bath. The ground floor was a lovely addition which has beds in (which we didn’t need) along with a kids play kitchen which was played with a lot. A short walk down the hill is the lovely village of Talloires which has a very nice bakery, cafe, restaurant etc. It also has a small supermarket for essentials. We loved watching the paragliding and all the other activities on the lake and in the skies above it from the terrace. As mentioned in the previous review this house is on the main road around the lake so you can hear traffic most of the time, it is also situated on a tight corner so traffic slows down and people even sound their horns so it can be noisy. If all the doors are shut you can’t hear it inside but when it’s hot and you want to sleep with the windows open you can hear the traffic. This doesn’t take away from the beauty of the house but it is good to know it can be noisy. Annecy is a 15-20 minute drive away or you can catch a boat from Talloires. We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house, hopefully one day we will return and would choose this house again and again. Catherine was wonderful at the house and the communication with Philippe has been superb. I would recommended this house to anyone who wants to stay near Annecy and have the best views of this beautiful lake in a very nice home.

Outstanding experience
We were a group of two families (11 people - 5 adults and 6 kids under eight years old) and there was still more than enough room for everyone in the house. The views are just fabulous, the living areas very congenial, the trampoline, swings, and petanque court enjoyed by the kids. The heated pool was well used as well, notwithstanding the relatively cool weather (for end May). The walks into the Rod de Chere are gorgeous and the loop around to/from Talloires bay starts from the back of the house. Philippe was a outstanding host, and was congenial at all points despite our relatively slow communications (due to a fairly intense work period). The new cycle coffee - Basecamp - in Talloires provided us with all our cycling needs (even including an e-bike for one day). If I had to find one less than fully positive point, it would be that the house is near the main road. The noise doesn't come inside with the doors closed (so everyone slept peacefully), but it is noticeable from the terrace and the pool. However, this is a really minor point in what was a thoroughly wonderful experience.
Thanks to Philippe and Catherine (who welcomed us) for a wonderful stay!

Lovely house, awesome views, beautiful location.
We were all just gobsmacked on entering this property, realising that the reviews we had read were completely accurate.
Our family group included 5 children between ages of 13 and 3, their parents and grandparents and the property was just perfect for everyone.
We were delighted that the swimming pool was open to us and we made good use of it on the couple of warm sunny days we enjoyed.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped and inspired some culinary artistry, and we particularly liked the capacious American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser....essential for Pastis and other refreshing drinks.
Everything needed was so generously supplied and of high quality, including towels, tableware and glasses. There was even a teapot!
The many candle holders enabled us to create cosy settings when it was cold and rainy.
The view of course requires no comment except to say it is fascinating and wondrous to watch it change with the weather.... sometimes moody, other times mysterious, or sparkling with bright sunlight, but always beautiful.
We enjoyed walking to the village and then along the waterfront. There is also a little square with a restaurant-bar, small supermarket and a boulangerie, Le Fournil de mon Pete.
We also had a drive around the lake to see the other villages, and a drive up to the hilltop of Montmin where you can watch the para gliders launch themselves off into the valley below .
Annecy is a pretty town with many historic buildings and waterways. We also enjoyed a trip to Chamonix where we took the train to Montenvers Mer de Glace. This is quite a long drive of about 1.5 hours, but gave us a lovely experience amongst the snowy mountains.
I have already recommended this house to all who have asked me about the holiday and really hope that I and my family will be able to return in the future.
Thank you Philippe for making your lovely house available for holiday rentals, and to Catherine, who introduced us to the house on your behalf. She provided us a lovely warm welcome and a detailed tour of the property.

The house was perfect for the 8 of us.
The view first and foremost is indescribable and beautiful. We spent most of our time sitting on the balcony or by the pool just taking in the beauty of the lake., sipping wine and visiting, and watching activities on the lake including boating, kayaking, gliders and even a hot air balloon.
The house was perfect for our group of eight. There were plenty of corners and spaces in the house and yard for all of us to find quiet but also was great for family meals and gatherings. The kitchen was very well supplied for preparing meals. Each bedroom had a wonderful view and there were plenty of bathrooms for all.
Phillippe was so easy to communicate with and was very prompt in his responses to all my questions.
We had a memorable two weeks at the house and loved the town of Talloires for a few meals at our favorite restaurant Cafe de la Place and a great lunch at L’Abbaye on the patio.
We also loved going into Annecy to shop and for lunch.
Our excursions included Gruyere which included a tour of Cailler chocolate factory,, the castle Saint Bernard Menthon, Chillon Castle on Lake Geneva and a drive around Lake Annency to get a closer look at Duignt Castle.
Most of all we were able to spend time with our daughter and her husband who live in France.
Catherine greeted us at the house and was very nice to show us around, how to operate everything, and arrangements upon departure.
Merci beaucoup Phillippe for providing us a wonderful home to stay in and create memories in.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Haute Savoie.

Trip of a lifetime
I cannot recommend staying at Philippe's beautiful house enough. The view from the house of the lake and the mountains is panoramic and stunning, you'll find yourself staring at it for hours! The house itself is wonderful and there really is everything you need already catered for. We stayed here with a group of 8 and regularly cooked most nights and it worked really well. The pool in the garden is super and a perfect place to spend the day going between the water and the sunbeds. Location wise the house is 5-10 minute walk down to the village where there are some fantastic restuarants, a beach and lots of water sport activities to take part in. There is a footpath behind the house that has a fantastic walk through the national park. Everyone was completely blown away by how incredible our stay was, we have made some fantastic memories. I cannot thank Philippe enough for his help, everything went so smoothly and we can't wait to visit again.

Stunning location
You walk into the living room at Villa l'Oratoire and the view takes your breath away. It would be hard to find a house with a better outlook, and it's hard to tear yourself away from it. We had a lovely week at this great house. There's so much space, you can lose yourself both inside and out. There were only four of us, but it would be perfect for a much larger group or a couple of families. We particularly loved the swimming pool and the Petanque/Bocce court! The beds were a little hard for my liking, but this is a personal preference. When you're sitting outside you do hear the noise of traffic, as the main road runs alongside the house, however you hear nothing inside the house and the view is so spectacular that it didn't really bother us.
It's a short walk (10 mins) into the village, but the first few minutes are alongside the busy main road, and is quite steep when you walk back, so something to bear in mind with very young children or if you're travelling with anyone who struggles to walk. However, once you get off the road (after about 5 mins) you'll be captivated by Talloires, which is a gorgeous harbour village. It has three or four small exclusive hotels by the water and the stereotypical French village sits behind them with a small supermarket and tourist information office. Plenty of opportunity to sit and people watch and several reasonably priced restaurants alongside the expensive hotel options. There's something for everyone, from cyclists (good hire shop in village called Basecamp), to paragliding enthusiasts and walkers. The ferry is a must, and takes you all around the pristine lake. We've never seen such clean water! You really should spend some time in Annecy, which has an incredibly charming old quarter - full of resturants and cafes and fabulous markets - antiques and bric-a-brac on Saturday and food on Friday.
All in all this was a great choice of house in a remarkable location. We loved it and hope to return again. Thank you to Philippe and your lovely team!

We all enjoyed the villa so much as it has everything that we needed for 3 families. The pool was a real bonus as the kids were in there till late every day. The view from the villa is stunning and waking up to that is a joy. In addition, the older kids are able to walk to town and the lake by themselves so we can relax by the balcony. The only improvement maybe is the oven as its a little slow possibly because the door doesnt shut too well. Otherwise, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and definitely coming back if we can. Christmas in Talloires
Gore Vidal said that the best view in the world was from the "Terrance of Infinity" in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast but that's because he had not visited this house in Talloires in December. As the cold sun comes up over the snow dusted mountains that surround Europe's cleanest lake, it is hard to imagine a view that is more captivating and priceless. God looked kindly on the French to award them with such a great setting.
We stayed for Christmas and New Year in this wonderful location in a house designed exactly for this festive purpose. We were a family of 10 across all ages with different interests and ways of passing our time - all of which are more than adequately catered for in this large spacious house. Facilities are good with a wide range of bedrooms - singles, doubles, twins and children's rooms. Bathrooms are spacious, modern and clean. Cooking in the kitchen is easy with good pots, pans, dishes and other utensils. Wifi is good and if you need it TV caters for all languages and tastes. We also borrowed the owners Christmas tree decorations for make the house festive and of course decorate the tree.
Philippe, the owner and Catherine, the property manager, are both very helpful and are on hand to make the stay easy and enjoyable. At one point we had a small issue with the plumbing and it took only 10 minutes for a qualified friendly French plumber to arrive. I wish i had this at home.
Talloires in winter is quiet with only one restaurant open but within 20 minutes there is plenty of choice. As we know Annecy well we were able to enjoy the festive mood of the city with lots going on. We skied once at Le Semnoz which is a local ski area but also several times at the large La Clusaz area which is about 25 minutes drive away. 2017 was a fantastic year for skiing and we were gifted deep powder snow that made skiing with the family great fun, I was also able to teach my brother-in-law some new techniques. In an action packed holiday in the final days my mother-in-law broke her ankle and Catherine the property manager was able to help us sort out our visit to Accident and Emergency department of the Annecy hospital where the treatment was both competent and considerate.
I cannot recommend this house more for a Christmas family getaway. It is a high quality property with all the familiar things that you need to make hosting a large group easy and allows everyone to have a good time.

Truly Exceptional Property
This was our second visit to Talloires and this house and it managed to exceeded our recollections. The house is beautiful, exceedingly well equipped, comfortable with loads of spaces to gather or get away, has one of the most amazing views I've ever seen, and just might be my favorite place in the world. Talloires is a gorgeous little town with a great boulangerie, a small but well equiped shop, a couple of cafes and a great range of restaurants from pizza to 2 michelin stars and it's only a 10 minute walk down the hill. There's more to do in the surrounding area than you could fit into months there - world class cycling, gorgeous hiking, kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, lovely villages, gorgeous alpine drives, day trips to Italy, Switzerland, Lyon or myriad other fabulous places - that is, if you can drag yourself away from the house! There's also a lovely path up to Roc du Cher right behind the house - it's a good heart pumping little climb which will make you feel justified having a pain au chocolate for breakfast. A new addition to Talloires is basecamp - a bike shop/cafe that rents all types of bikes - so convenient to grab a bike and ride around the lake!
We all enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing bocce (I'm convinced there isn't a bocce court in the world with a better view), hanging out on the verandah, wandering into town to pick up the daily bread or grab a gelato and wander around the gorgeous harbour.
Phillipe, the owner, and Catherine, the manager, are fabulous - always helpful and super responsive. We had a minor issue with one of the toilets and a plumber arrived promptly to fix it. Similarly after a massive rain (most of the time we were there the weather was amazing!) the pool clouded up but a quick email to Phillipe had the pool guy there the next morning.
We were a group of 12 ranging in age from 14 to 79 and it was absolutely perfect for all. I can't recommend this property more and hope we will be able to spend time there again in the near future.

Stunning location, incredible views.
We were a family of 9 celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. What a superb place to celebrate it, nothing let it down, from the fantastic views to the well appointed villa. Catherine was very kind, helpful and very approachable. As other reviews have said it was better than the photos, perfect in every way. We cried when we arrived, it was overwhelming. Philippe was very easy to correspond with, as we had to change a couple of things and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend the restaurant La Pricaz at the top of the mountain. So much to do fo all ages, a perfect holiday retreat, we would return in a heartbeat.

This is a remarkable house and view
We enjoyed our weeks stay to a full extent. The house is big and very well organised with very nice rooms and bathrooms. It has a wonderful living area connected to the kitchen and the terrasse. The view is absolutely the best we have ever had. The very charming Talloires is very close and also the lake with wonderful bathing possibilities. Our group included 2 children 1 and 3 yrs. The house is very child-friendly but of course you have to have close look because of the pool and the stairs. We enjoyed every minute. Christine who welcomed us is extremely kind and helpful.

An excellent holiday
We had a wonderful time. The house is most comfortable, exceedingly well-equipped and spacious. The beds were good and everywhere was very clean. We were able to use the pool, from which the view of the lake is stunning. Our welcome was very warm and friendly and Catherine was most helpful. We are already considering visiting again next year.

A superb and spacious villa
A dozen family members aged 22 to 83 years old had a fine time here. Dealing with Philippe, the owner, was very straightforward.
The villa felt spacious with a large open plan floor but separated into eating and living spaces and large balcony and pool area. We cooked a couple of times in a very well equipped kitchen and happily played games, drank too much and argued around the dining table.
Talloires itself isn't cheap but has cafes, restaurants, bakery and mini mart. Good walking and mountaineering nearby among lots of other outdoorsy activity or just lounge by the pool. Ferry stop to Annecy and around the lake as well.
A truly beautiful place between lake and mountains. Good food, good wine, good times
(Sodding Brexit. Makes me ashamed to be British).

This is our second time and it does not disappoint. Best view on the lake, great pool and with three generations of us staying, plenty of room.
Can't fault it and we will be back but we will need to book over a year in advance.

Excellent
We had a wonderful holiday in the house in Talloires. It was a most convenient point to meet up with our family who live in Mallorca and Stuttgart and we had lots of fun with our 5 grandchildren.
The view from the balcony is quite spectacular and the house a convenient and nicely presented property. The room sizes and layout suited our group wonderfully and the table tennis table was a great asset for the whole family and well used.
We were able to enjoy tobogganing, local walking and the charm and ambience of Annecy confident of a warm and relaxing home on our return. We particularly liked the dining arrangements where we could all share a family meal both inside and out, with great convenience.
Such a shame we missed the pool and Bar-B-Q, perhaps next time!

Superb villa with stunning views
Just back from a wonderful week in Talloires. 7 in our party. Villa had everything that we needed and more, lovely pool, table tennis, boules, trampoline and swing. Plenty of choice of restaurants less than 10 mins walk away, would also recommend boat trip round the lake and visiting Annecy. Castle in Menthon is worth a visit and also car journeys into the Alps. Agree with previous comments, although the pictures look good on the website the views from the villa are even better in reality, could not believe how beautiful they were. Great holiday and would highly recommend.

Beautiful property, looks even better than the pictures!
A great place to stay with family and friends, great walks from your doorstep and a lovely picturesque village of Tailoires with local pattisserie and market 10mins walk away.
Perfect for walks, trips to local ski resorts, water sports or just sitting in the house admiring the view.
Would highly recommend! Mr and Mrs Bonn were very lovely and accommodating.

Fantastic views, great location
Our group of 11 adults traveled from the US to bike in the Annecy area. Upon arrival, we were putting our bikes together in the driveway, while watching a Para gliding competition. The para gliders were flying from the mountain just above us, and coming in for a landing on a dock on the lake just below the house. The event was sponsored by Red Bull, and we felt like we had front row seats. In addition to fantastic biking both on the bike path and into the mountains, we found great hiking with views of Mt Blanc. Spectacular! Philippe was easy to communicate with and recommended Catherine Segros to cook some meals for us. After a long day of biking, it is a real treat to come home to a prepared dinner. Catherine was so kind and helpful and made local dishes from the area. She is a gem. We also hired Jean Christophe Pergod, JC is a trained chef and prepared a most memorable meal which was a perfect ending to our fantastic week. Three of the bedrooms had en-suite bathrooms, and with so many adults , we wished there were more. This was a minor inconvenience in a house that was otherwise so very comfortable for our group of 11.
