the road was busy to walk to the bridal path but otherwise perfect

great location and very clean, great for a walking holiday and only 10 minutes by car to Matlock , lovely pub near by the Tansley taven serving great food , the cottage is dog friendly and there was some cake on arrival and some dog treats for the dogs

Great location to explore the Peak District. Very convenient to have a good farm shop and cafe right next door. Very comfortable stay.

Only complaint was that there isn't a freezer so a little restrictive for food shopping.

Sofa could do with replacement. Wi-fi speeds were really poor. location for barn is S45 0JQ not what is advertised on paperwork

A well developed

The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, the cafe next to the property which is run by the same team offers a excellent breakfast. The surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of places to visit within a few miles.

A lovely cosy cottage , fairly ‘rustic’.

It’s a nice place but there are a few negatives:- It’s got a driveway all around it where people access the busy cafe, the cafe kitchen and seating area directly face the cottage 10m away. So it’s got no privacy or outside seating area. Heating system underpowered. Gas fire seemed dangerous, didn’t stay alight so we didn’t use it. No freezer or dishwasher. Gate was shut on a Monday and every evening so had to be manually opened and closed numerous times when we had family visit or we went out (in the rain!) no one warned us of this. It’s advertised as ‘super king sized bed’ it’s not.

Lovely barn conversion, kitchen, sitting room, and 2 bedrooms. Kath's welcome (from Her cafe next door) excellent. Flowers in the house, milk in fridge, cakes in cake stand (Very good) and 2 pots of jam. We were there for Chatsworth RHS show (5 miles away). Very easy to get there without any traffic delays. Breakfast in Kath's Cafe too - first day order was too much food so second day was scaled back! Bacon perfect for me. Thanks Kath and staff

Drains a little bit wiffey at first - but didn't last long.
