The house was well cared for and well stocked. We have 5 grandchildren under the age of 9 and the proximity to the beach was great. The outside area including the pool was our favorite place to hang out. The deck off the main room was where we watched shooting stars at night. We loved our time at Water's Edge, but it went by too quickly. Our host, John, was wonderful. He kept in touch with us during our stay making sure everything was just right. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this property.

We booked late this year so I didn’t get my first or second choice of location (and boy am I glad we didn’t!). We ended up at Waters Edge because it had all the layout and amenities we needed but we had never stayed on the bay side before. My family could not stop raving about how perfect this place was. We spent a lot of time in the pool but we were 20 steps from the beach and went for frequent walks. You can also bring your kayak or paddleboard or fishing pole and do that all from the “back yard”. Coffee and ice cream were a 15 min walk. Wildwood or downtown cape may 20 min drive. The house was sufficiently equipped (everything promised was there and in good condition). Nightly sunsets and dolphin spotting a plus!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. Super clean, very well-appointed house, with everything we could have needed. An abundance of comfortable space for our family to spread out, and a gorgeous beach steps from the end of the driveway. We hope to return. Thank you so much.

The house was immaculate with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The incredible pool added to our delightful experience. Booking was seamless, and communication with the owner was outstanding. Felt like a luxury home away from home. Highly recommend!

House exceeded our expectations. Very clean and well stocked. Super helpful to have linens, beach chairs, and pool towels all provided. Layout was ideal with each bedroom having its own bathroom and main living space offering incredible water views. Bay beach was even closer than appears in photos- literally steps away. Some restaurants, ice cream shops, grocery store and convenience stores very close by. Had several reservations for dinner but never wanted to leave the pool during the beautiful sunset so ended up mostly eating in and ordering several times from the seafood takeout down the street (which was excellent). John was always responsive to questions and easy to communicate with. Loved our stay and looking forward to returning!

The house was great! It had everything we needed. The pool was very nice and just steps from the beach. Seeing the sunsets from the balcony was amazing. The house is about a 20 minute drive from Cape May. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This property was pristine…clean, neat and organized. Cleanliness is the most important amenity for us and John and Lynn did not disappoint. We had everything…beach towels, beach chairs, bath towels, soap (dish and clothes detergent). Pool was GREAT and SAFE with an alarm. We had 4 kids under six and we never worried that a child could sneak into pool area without the alarm going off. The house was well stocked with paper products (toilet paper, soap, ziploc bags, and trash bags too). We were amazed at the service we received from the owners!!! Great House for a Family
The house fit our family’s needs in every way possible. We couldn’t have asked for more. The owner was just a phone call or text away. He responded quickly when when contacted. The beach was never crowded and the waves were calm enough so our grandchildren felt comfortable enough to go in. The pool was also a hit. We paid the extra money to have the pool heated and we are so glad we did. It was worth the additional cost.
I have to agree with Kurt’s review. The pictures were a little misleading and old. They made it it seem that the house was right on the beach. However, there is one house between you and the beach. You can still see the beach from all upper level decks but not a 180 degree view. But the beach was literally a few steps from our sidewalk.
All the beds seem to be quite soft. So if you like that type of bed comfort you are in luck. For those of us who prefer or require a firm bed the bed were quite uncomfortable.
But overall we give it a 5 star review.

Awesome House !!
This was our first time renting this home and we were very satisfied with the home and area. The host was great at communicating with me before, during and after the stay. The house was very clean and well stocked with necessities. My family was able to enjoy the heated pool! There is a fee but well worth it! The house has beautiful views of the beach and only steps to the sand!!! We are looking forward to renting it again.

Spring Getaway
The property was a perfect layout for our family of three couples and one toddler. It is difficult to find accommodations that include three bedrooms with king/queen beds and en suite bathrooms AND a room appropriate for kiddos. The well equipped kitchen and family area combined with the beautiful decks were icing on the cake. John reached out on our arrival day to ensure all was as expected. Additionally, he was very responsive to my inquiries prior to our arrival. As others have said, the sunsets were amazing. VPK

This is a great house in a great location. The house was super clean when we arrived and John was regularly in touch with us every step of the way. The house is one house in from the beach which is not necessarily apparent from the listing. But it is situated with excellent views of the water and magnificent sunsets over the water. Only a few steps to the beach. House was well equipped. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Autumn Adventure
This property was perfect for our early October get away! The home offers generous space with a cozy, relaxing vibe!
The beach is beautiful and just a few steps from the front door. The heated salt water pool and pool area made family fun times with our 4 yr old grandson for all of us. This house is so close to the beach. It is just a few steps to the water. So easy and nice with young kids. We can easily run back to the house and get things without feeling like it is a hike. John and his wife were excellent hosts, checking in and offering advice.

This place was absolutely amazing. The location was beyond perfect. We spent mornings on the sand and afternoons in the pool. We caught some spectacular sunsets from the balcony. The owners were wonderful to work with. We will be staying here again.

Great Family Vacation Spot
This was our first time vacationing in Cape May with extended family. We were immediately drawn to this property because of its proximity (mere steps) to the beach and for the heated private pool. We have 3 kids under six so the security features by the pool area and the family friendly layout of the house were just perfect for us. My parents are about to turn 80 and my sister is mobility impaired, so we were looking for a place to stay and just enjoy the house. This house was built for family vacations and has everything you'd need. As other reviewers have noted, the views of the sunset are amazing. We spent every evening watching the tide come in and the sunsetting with the exception of one evening where we watched a beautiful lightening storm in the distance. I highly recommend renting from John and Lynn if you are looking for a relaxing time at the beach. Check-in and check-out our straightforward and they are super responsive to any quick questions.

Wonderful getaway!
We had such a lovely time at this house right by the beach! Very spacious and clean with great layout to maximize views of the water. We all agreed we saw the best sunsets we collectively ever have at this property! Though weather was still a bit chilly in March, we got awesome walks and playtime on the beach literally steps from the front door. John was very responsive and proactive in keeping us informed of opportunities in the area as well as notable weather changes. Our children did not want to leave! We only got them to go with the agreement that we will return again!

A world away...
We planned a family Thanksgiving back in July, and while things changed for us quite a bit, our getaway at Water’s Edge was magical. I’m pretty sure John (owner) even arranged the beautiful weather for us, since he had everything else covered as well. The location, the views and the house (with its many amenities) were the perfect antidote to these crazy times we find ourselves in. We will be back!!!

View & Location PERFECT for Little Kids
With a baby and a 2 year old, there is nothing better than having the "beach" (bay front) at your front door, a large, safe outdoor deck overlooking the bay right off of the family room/dining room/ kitchen, a heated pool and a quiet cul-de-sac to make 24/7 playing a possibility. Town, vineyards, great take-out restaurants only a short drive away. Owners were incredibly responsive and helpful, we would go back in a heart beat.

This was the perfect house for our family gathering. Super super clean! I loved that 3 bedrooms are en suite so each family had their own space and the kids shared the bunk room. Property owner was super attentive and responsive. We would definitely consider renting again. Thanks!

The house did not disappoint! Amazing views of the bay and beautiful sunsets. The house was very comfortable and open. The location to downtown was just a short distance and easy drive. More than we could have imagined
This property was the perfect place for us to gather as a family during the COVID-19 climate. We all had intentions of going out a few times during the week, but between the hospitality of John and Lynn, his house, the location and the sunsets, we never did. It was truly an unforgettable vacation for all eight of us (grandchildren included) and hopefully a new tradition of staying at this magnificent home.
