Beautiful beachfront at The Villas On Great Bay
Esta villa de dos dormitorios y tres baños está situada en Great Bay Beach, en un pequeño complejo de doce villas individuales con una hermosa piscina frente a la playa y espectaculares vistas al océano. Está remodelado por dentro y por fuera con muebles nuevos y camas king.
¡La ubicación es ideal porque está en el lado opuesto de Great Bay del bullicioso puerto de cruceros de Philipsburg, para que pueda disfrutar de las maravillosas vistas de las idas y venidas de los cruceros sin las multitudes! Hay hasta seis cruceros en el puerto a la vez y verlos es un pasatiempo favorito de casi todos los que se quedan en nuestro complejo.

You know that feeling you get, the first time you step into a place you booked quite some time ago, and have eagerly anticipated ever since ... and it's EXACTLY everything you wanted it to be? That's what it was like, upon our arrival at Doug & Becky's gorgeous villa on the bay in Sint Maarten!
The location, the layout, the decor, the grounds, the pool, the on-site manager, the beach just a few steps away ... all of it was spectacular. And the communication, recommendations, and advice I received from the owners prior to our arrival was unlike anything I've experienced with any other venue I've rented.
Quite simply, this is the best VRBO experience we've ever enjoyed. This was our first trip to the beautiful island of Sint Maarten, but we're already making plans to return ... and it just wouldn't be the same unless we find a way to stay in this beautiful villa once again!

What a lovely villa! The pics don't do it justice! The bedrooms and living room are much more spacious. The location in the community is perfect as far as privacy. The owners have thought of absolutely everything one might need. We even loved the beach compared to the few others we saw on the island. It wasn't super-wide which would make for a long walk, it was completely uncrowded - most days we were the only ones there, and the water was gorgeous. Also, watching the cruise ships come in and go out was fun.
It was truly a wonderful, relaxing vacation and we would rent this villa again in a heartbeat! :)

My sister & I and a friend rented villa #2 at The Villas on Great Bay. I researched the VRBO site with my necessary needs as a filter & I am ELATED that I selected this Villa. There are only 13 villas. This villa faces the ocean & is a little more private than the other villas. This property has an infinity edge pool shared by all, but was hardly used when were there for our 8-day vacation. This villa is three bath, two bedroom & is the best stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in & I am a seasoned traveler. The kitchen is stocked like my kitchen at home. It has an outdoor shower before you enter the villa. The flooring is beautiful, the appliances great...there is nothing negative to say about this villa nor this property. What is a great plus is that the villas are very secure. You have gates that you can lock outside your front patio & around your entry porch. The entire property is gated and needs a combination to enter & to leave. There is an on-site manager of the property named Serge. He is sweet, so competent, so helpful, & so professional. Serge will arrange a taxi, make reservations...anything that you need. If you rent this villa, you will NOT be disappointed! The property is even more beautiful than the pictures & the location of this villa on the island is the BEST! The best shopping on the island is on Front Street & so are the Villas! Communication with both the villa owner and the property manager before our stay was prompt and informative. A great experience!

Doug is an amazing host, extremely helpful and gives you loads of information about the island. The villa is well stocked and clean. You are within walking distance to shopping and restaurants and a beach just steps away.

From the moment of booking, Doug has been incredibly attentive, responsive and helpful. He provides a comprehensive packet of information, recommendations to local stores, charters, amenities, generous coupons and anything else you could ever need. Serge, the property manager, is equally charming and helpful with all of your needs. The property is gorgeous, comfortable and well-appointed. Couldn’t have had a better experience. We will be back.

If you’re looking for less night life, beautiful quiet beach with the option to be in the mix of busy beaches, it would be a shame to overlook this villa.
Communications were excellent, the Villa was clean and comfortable.

Overall this property is great! The location is prime at the far end of the beach in Phillipsburg on Great Bay. Close enough to walk into town to all of the bars, eateries and shopping but far enough away to be quite peaceful. The unit was well stocked with the necessary equipment and even had some food/drink supplies in the small bar and kitchen. The onsite manager (Wally) was fantastic, helpful and very helpfull with island information. He checked in with us daily to see if everything was OK. The small pool was nice in the morning or evening and overlooks the beach!

This was our 2nd time staying in Villa # 2. The property is beautiful and all amenities are as stated. Wally was very attentive to our needs. We had to cut our stay by 2 days as Hurricane Tammy was bearing down and our scheduled flight was cancelled. We love St Martin and hope to return for a third visit.

The Villas are perfect. Very nicley furnished , excetionally clean and very secure.Well equipped kitchen. Location is perfect. Very quiet, away from cruise ship traffic yet close enough that you can walk into town. Great Bay Market is just across the street. Super convenient with prices comparable to the large store. Great fresh bread daily. Doug is a super host, with excellent communication. Wally, the manager for our villa is amazing. Great personality and there immediatley if you need him. We looked forward to his visit every morning and evening as he checked that all was okay. We are already planning our next. You'll live it.

My family and I stayed in Doug and Becky's villa on Great Bay for a week in July 2023, and it was everything we could have asked for. This property is located directly on the beach, a short walk away from grocery stores, beach clubs, shopping, restaurants and bars, and more. The pool and surrounding grounds are kept clean and the view is beautiful from the oceanfront patio. We would absolutely stay here again!

we had a wonderful time. everything was neat and clean the view is fantastic. the grounds are just as the pictures show. the pictures that we saw on vrbo were exactly what we got. the check in was super simple. wally met us at the gate, showed us to our apt., showed us how to work the tv/cable, turn the lights on and off and answered any questions we had. we walked to most places. is safe. the people are very friendly. spent a lot of time in the pool. is very clean. there's plenty to do and see. would recommend doug and becky;s place to anyone.

Property, grounds, and property manager were fantastic. Very well supplied, beach was great, pool very clean. Interaction with Host was easy and comprehensive. Walking distance to Boardwalk and great restaurants. Great value for what was provided.

We loved staying at the Villas! Our family enjoyed the pool and walking to the boardwalk for dinner and shopping. Wally helped us book a catamaran excursion, which I highly recommend. This was our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back!

We were married during COVID, so we had to delay our honeymoon. It was well worth it to stay at this property.
We could not have been more pleased. Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent. The owners guide to St Martin was so helpful.
The view was incredible!!! We were steps from the beach and pool. We had a wonderful time exploring the island. A tropical storm being nearby, shut down the island for a day but the villa was so comfortable it was good downtime. We will be back and stay here again.

The whole process from the booking to to stay was perfect. Doug wrote directly and introduced Wally, the manager at the villas, to get the important stuuff before the departure done. The stay there was great. Located right in the great bay, it is near the cruise ship habour. The arrival date should be checked to avoid a crowded Front Street. The accommodation is well equipped and everything for a nice holiday is there or next to the villa. Wally is awesome and was really helpful for all request like booking a car or getting a taxi. Full recommendation.

Amazing experience at a great location
Villas on Great Bay (Villa 2) was in a great location, clean, had any amenity you could need, and was within walking distance of town, places to eat, and a grocery Market. 10/10 recommend this place. Wally the property manager was amazing and super helpful. Doug the property owner was great and made sure we had ample information for our first trip to Sint Maarten! Could not have asked for a better experience!

The place was perfect for us!
We just go back from our week stay a Great Bay Villas. It was perfect in every way from the beautiful views, the nice kitchen, and all the amenities one would need on a vacation. Having the little private (for the villa) pool was ideal when you didn't want to be at the beach anymore. We look forward to a return trip!!

Wally was amazing. We had an awesome time. Condo was perfect size, great A/C plenty of towels and kitchen accessories. TV's worked well.

The property was quaint and well kept. Nice flora and local birds around. There is a key code needed to get in 'n out the gates. There is a small patio with a BBQ grill and seating off the living room and one at the entrance of the Villa that includes an outdoor shower. The amenities were great but I recommend bringing/buying your own shower gels and shampoos. There were hand sanitizers, bug spray, and sunscreen already available. There were things you don't even think you will need. lol. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer (fee for use).
The Location is great, few minutes walk to Front Street (stores/restaurants), and a grocery store literally a 2 minute walk away. Parking is on the street right outside the front gate, but there were always spots available. You can spend the day in the pool or walk right out onto the beach. The view is great. You can watch the sun come up from the patio with some coffee and fresh bread from the grocery store.
Wally, the property manager, is very friendly and welcoming. He was available and responsive to anything we needed related to the property. SXM People in general were very friendly.
Although we received apologies from Wally Doug.The only downside to our stay was the lady in Villa 1 right next to ours. She was friendly to another family on site but her attitude towards us was clearly different. I won't discount the entire Villa but as POC spending money at a place where an "owner" clearly has an issue this was uncomfortable.

Best place to stay in SXM
This is our second stay at the Villas. We walked the entire beach on Great Bay multiple times and these units are the best maintained by far. Great location to Front Street shops and restaurants. The unit is well kept and has everything needed and more. The mew C store across the street is very handy as well. The on-site manager, Wally, went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. We will be staying here again soon. A+ all the way around.
