We loved the home and the location. It was perfect for our group. We especially enjoyed the heated pool as other homes we've stayed only have an unheated pool in November.However - a working pantry would be delightful. No salt, no pepper, not enough dish detergent to run a load every other day, not enough toilet paper for a week, or paper towels. Such a shame. It really puts a damper on things when these are consumables that should just be provided when you're staying a week. When I book a hotel, there's always enough toilet paper.Otherwise, truly a delightful home. With a few tweaks it would be AMAZING!!

The place was beautiful, and it was just as it was described. The beach was right across the street, and our host quickly answered any questions. However, some inconveniences should be fixed for a perfect stay. First, the check-in was at 5 pm, and check-out was at 9 am. We were shocked at the time since 9 am is very early for the last morning, and most places usually allow the guests to check out at 11 am, but we assumed it was to give the cleaning crew enough time, which 5 pm was also the latest check-in time we've ever received. Nonetheless, we planned our drive to arrive a couple of hours before 5 pm; however, by 10:30 am, we received a message saying the place was ready to be checked in. Therefore, the times should be adjusted to begin and end the vacation more accommodatingly. Secondly, there were no spices available in the kitchen, not even salt or pepper, so if you plan on cooking anything, bring your own, or you'll have to run to the store. We didn't expect a treasure trove of spices, but at least the basics like salt, pepper, and oil. Third, we had a cockroach and a spider on our first night, and there were tiny black bugs, which can be assumed were ants, that would come out if any food or drinks were left out overnight.

Our stay at Yellow Bird was wonderful! The house was a perfect fit for our family! It was clean and had everything we needed ! It was about a 5 min walk to the beach not bad at all! The neighborhood was quiet and great to take our dogs out for walks! We would most definitely stay here again! I would recommend renting a golf cart! We did this for the first time this year and it was worth every penny!

Yellowbird is located in a quiet gated community with just a five-minute walk to the beach and within close driving proximity to key attractions. The house itself is well laid out, with open living/dining/kitchen area for socializing and four bedrooms for privacy. We particularly enjoyed the screen porch, which overlooks a wooded backyard. I will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Destin.

The Yellow bird house is decent place. Location is great and the staff does the best they can to make your stay enjoyable. My family and I have stayed at this home before in 2020. The home was more attractive than our recent stay. The home needs more maintenance. The walls are cracked and the upstairs restroom did not work which was an inconvenience for 10 people living there. The first day the heater would not work. The home was freezing until maintenance came back twice to fix it. Overall it was a nice stay but I don’t know if I would stay there again.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and in a perfect location! Literally a 2 min walk to the beach, a private, gated entrance to little subdivision. Kids had a blast in the pool and playing football in the street (worked perfectly withoutuch traffic at all). Our family had plenty of room for everyone to sleep/hangout. Kids loved the fact they had their own balcony and jacuzzi tub 😊 Someone from company was quick to bring over a tank refill for gas grill when I messaged stating the one there was empty. Only suggestion would have been to supply a few more beach towels as well as garbage bags for bigger groups like we had. My entire family requested we rent from this company again for a summer trip. Thank you!!

Let's start with the positive. Great floor plan, community pool and tennis courts are in excellent shape, right across the street from public beach access, and a central location for activities and dining.
Massive negatives unfortunately. The kitchen was completely inadequate if you plan on cooking. Only 6 drinking glasses for home designate for 12, no cutting board, 2 trash bags for 5 nights, 1 dish towel, 1 small bottle (size of hotel shampoo) of dish soap for 5 nights.
Overall maintenance not what you would expect from a million dollar home – 2 bedroom ceilings with cracks and water spots, upstairs master closet full of holes where wire shelving once was installed, upstairs master balcony door could not be unlocked, upstairs balcony table was rusted to the point of falling apart, and the dryer would not dry more than a few pieces of clothing at a time.

The property was beautiful and perfect for for our family only with the house was that the dryer didn’t work even after someone came out to service it. And if you are an minority be careful some people aren’t polite happy about you being there the security guy thought my brother was lying about staying in the neighborhood even after he gave him the address and was taking pictures of him and some other black kids but overall the trip was great

Air conditioner did not work for all five nights we were there. We were hot at night sleeping and my 2 granddaughters were up before 6:00am each morning sweating in their bed. A/C Unit was 16 years old & had been serviced multiple times. It never worked from the day we arrived. Robert Stovall

We love Destin and we love Destiny West, although the Yellow Bird let us down. The house layout was excellent for our family, but the house needs upgrades in the furniture if it is a rental. When you pay nearly $3,000 for a rental one expects everything from the dishes and silverware to the bedspreads and furniture to be in much better shape and not so worn and dated. There were several maintenance issues that should be taken care of along with painting in many of the rooms.

The house was clean and well furnished. When we experienced issues/confusion, the management was very quick to respond and help us in whatever way possible. Everything worked like it should. Access to the pool was lovely for kids and adults alike. Overall a good stay.

This house had everything we needed for our first extended family vacation after a year of loss.The large living area was perfect for all of us hanging out without being on top of one another. The walk to the beach was so easy even for our little ones. The best part was how close we were to tons of shopping and an assortment of restaurants! We were never more than 3 miles from the house!

We had to scramble to find a suitable place to store for the time of our vist which was a $185 cost we were not expecting. The previous renters had apparently trashed the house writting some spanish comment on the sreen of the outdoor coverd porch. The house did not smell clean. One of the kitchen chairs to the table was also broken. Overall we were disappointed considering the cost we paid for this home. We will not stay at this house again unfortunatley. we are also not going to use the rental company which we have used for 20 years. Very disappointed.

The accommodations were great for our family of 10, everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The inside (floors, bathrooms, counters, etc...) were clean and in good condition. There was a community hot tub, pool, and weight room that we also took advantage of. There area felt safe and well kept. There was plenty of living space and a large dining table for meals at home. However, there the three seasons porch was less than desirable and could use some upkeep and basic maintenance. The screen to the door had a tear in it, the window sills were dirty and the cushions on the "outdoor" furniture need to be replaced. Because of the tear, we are fairly certain there were critters getting in because of what appeared to be mouse droppings near the far wall. Some of the furniture in the home is in need of some care or replacing (just showing some basic ware and tear). I would also add that in comparison to the pristine condition of the surrounding houses, the yellow bird could use some basic outdoor maintenance (power wash the outside, cut back a few shrubs, a little paint on the balcony rail etc.) and it will look much better from the outside. Overall we really enjoyed our time at the Yellow Bird and felt it suited our needs. Just wish we could have used the screened in porch more. I'd give it an overall 3.5 out of 5.
