We had a great stay at the property. It was hot, so the no air conditioning was a but tough, but we did know about that aheas if time, so it is what it is. The inside is quite a bit dated, with very faded, slightly weird textured carpet, but was very clean despite this. Having a washer and dryer was very convenient. So was having a door from one of the on-suite bathrooms that lead to the hallway so our sister who was staying on the couch bed uostairs could access the bathroom without entering our room in the night.

It was clean, but definitely a very dated property. Also no A/C in the unit, several others had it though. Very steep staircase up to the front door and again inside straight down to the bedroom/ bathrooms which were downstairs. I’d rate it very average. Close to Poipu Beach by foot.🌴🌴

My family and I had a wonderful time! Perfect location and a quick walk to poipu beach to watch the turtles and monk seals. The place was spacious and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. It was clean, kitchen is well stocked, had 6 beach towels, a large cooler and 4 beach chairs. The washer and dryer came in handy (needs the vent cleaned)
We were in Kauai when there was some flooding and the electricity went out. One of the fans stopped working in the master bedrooms and we let the management team know. They came right over and tried to fix the issue, but was unable. So thank goodness for the extra fans in the closets so we could sleep comfortably. They also fixed a few outlets while they were there. Everyone we met on the property were so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to visit again!

Wonderful location and property with Hawaiian character! Spacious for 4 adults and an infant. Secluded enough to feel like you can get away from the busyness of Poipu Beach. Stellar walking location to three (3) different beaches.

Condo is close to beach. It has a charm that takes me back to my childhood. I'm hoping the ceiling fan/light has been fixed. It would come on at all times of the night; very difficult to live with. Took days to figure out how to disconnect and not use. I didn't want to disturb my stay with repairs, so reported after. The place has everything you need (except for an umbrella; which is apparently dangerous because of the wind). Lovely showers. Bed was comfy. I'd stay again; even with the faulty ceiling fan!

Condo was clean, all typical kitchen utensils available, bedding etc. I only wish, after a 4,000+ mile flight over 11 hrs, we had a road map to show exactly where the condo was located. We were within 1/4 mile of the condo and the written directions didn't appear to match the various roads in the dark. Other than that, the property management were very responsive to our issues (washing machine needed to be repaired while we were there).

We booked this a couple of months ago for 10 days. We arrived and found a notice on our stove/oven that said not to use and "sorry for the inconvenience." Went to management who was surprised to learn that stove/oven didn't work. That was the first of many repairs. The refridgerator was still leaking inside after several complaints. Dishwasher was not attached under the counter and would come out (tip over)if you pulled the upper and lower racks out. There was a bathtub that leaked. The front door wouldn't lock. Spent too many days complaining to management about things that somebody should have fixed before we had arrived.

Very clear and easy check in instructions. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities. The condo is not very new but is well maintained. The bedrooms and washrooms are in the lower level which was not clear in the booking.
Pool was clean and very refreshing. We also used the tennis courts..

Lots of stairs may be a problem for anyone with mobility issues. The photos are accurate. Small view of the ocean above the neighboring rooftops. We could hear the waves crashing. Pool area was very nice. We had the pool mostly to ourselves. Nice view of the ocean from the lounge chairs.
Unit came equipped with several beach chairs, beach umbrella, coolers, tennis racquets, beach towels.
Great communication with our hosts. Clear check in/out instructions. Friendly staff. This unit has no A/C (which we were aware of) so we utilized the fans provided. Overall great stay. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Although a small view of the ocean (differs from pictures online) - we felt that the closeness to the beach made up for it. The kitchen is a little worn but we were comfortable in the rest of the condo. Would suggest changing from the carpet - would make the place feel cleaner.

We stayed at Nihi Kai 503 for 2 weeks and couldn't have been more comfortable there. It has everything you need, and the sunset views are absolutely breathtaking. 100% recommend and hope to stay here again. The property management staff are great too!

Great location, beautiful property, good bbq area, excellent pool, Unit looked tired and req'd impr
Great view, however, many repairs are required: locks on screen doors broken, 'frozen shutters' we couldn't manipulate, kitchen counter tiles that require re-grouting, a rusty dish-rack we didn't use, unwanted ant infestations, worn-out outlets that no longer hold plugs in, a broken dishwasher two days in, old twisted burner coils on stove that leave pans tilted, one element not working, poor selection of pots (actually, only one small pot), pans fit only for camping, cloudy ugly stemware, cracked mugs, both en-suite bathroom fans so loud you couldn't use them, ceiling fans old and loud, loud light ballast buzzing over counter, perhaps the most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on, a frayed wire night-table lamp that lit up the bedroom with an electrical flash and neighbors who smoked with their smoke often curling through the unit. The office was contacted regarding the fans and the dishwasher. A serviceman came to inspect the dishwater two days later but it wasn't serviced during our two-week stay. No one came to service the bathroom fans. There's no reason for any of these things. We would recommend pulling up the aqua-marine carpet and put in hardwood flooring. Fellow residents spoke well regarding their units, many of which had extensive beach stuff (boogie-boards, chairs, snorkel/fins/masks), chairs and golf clubs. The unit has dated snorkel gear and worn out beach chairs. The unit supplied a place to eat/sleep/read and go to the bathroom. Its condition was a great incentive to enjoy our time at the beaches and the pool and the excellent beauty of Kauai.

Be warned!
Not all condos have air conditioning!! It was not clear in the on-line representation that the unit we booked does not have any AC. They depend on the trade winds and fans. We had to call maintenance to get additional fans, and for the ceiling fans to be adjusted, as the were barely moving air. We requested to move to another unit. The staff was exceptionally helpful in getting us to another location/unit with AC.
I know the tropics have bugs, but this unit also had dead bugs laying around, and little tiny ants all over the kitchen counters. We had to keep all food in the refrigerator and freezer in order not to share with the ants.
The bed in the master bedroom is worn out! The night we had to stay (waiting to get into an AC unit) was miserable. I found myself climbing out of a hammock-like hole in the mattress all night long.
On a positive note: the grounds are beautiful, the condo was well stocked with linens and kitchen items, and it has three lanais.
