We just wanted to get away for a few days and this was an excellent choice. Super quiet area right across the street from the river. House was very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed with everything anyone would need. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was immaculate and very accurately represented. Perfect mountain escape. Bjorn and Sharon were great hosts and very prompt in any inquiries. We would highly recommend this host and cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean and cozy. The location is great, with many hiking trails only a short drive away. The view of the river and mountains from the many windows and front deck is amazing! The kitchen was well equipped. In the evenings we really enjoyed sitting by a fire next to the river with the relaxing sound of the water.

We highly recommend this Adirondack getaway. This is our second (not our last) stay at this property. The property is very clean and is exactly as described. The hosts are wonderful. They are accommodating and very responsive. You will not be disappointed.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. It is well stocked with anything you would ever need. The owners are super nice and very responsive to help with questions. This is a true gem. Highly recommend! We loved our stay!

Our family had a great time staying here. The house was incredibly clean and well-kept. We had everything we needed for a relaxing trip in a gorgeous setting with all the comforts and conveniences of home (dishwasher, laundry, linens/towels, tableware, etc.) -- greatly appreciated when you are traveling with a tot! The house is quiet and peaceful, tucked away in a lovely spot by a river. The mattresses were a little soft for our taste but the bedrooms were cozy and quiet otherwise. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, admiring the gorgeous river views, listening to the water and watching the birds. Just down the road is the town of Northville, a quintessential Adirondack village. We loved J.F Farmstore, the five and dime, the ice cream place... it really had everything you needed, including a grocery store, gas station, and playground. We look forward to coming back for another stay soon! Thank you!!

Property wonderful- clean and so cute. we carefully waded in the river across street and it was so refreshing We saw shooting stars from porch and enjoyed a bonfire near the water. We rented boat to cruise the Great Sacandaga Lake- We did the Rail Ride- such a fun adventure We hiked the Tenant trail to waterfalls- glad we had our hiking sticks- trail was rocky and uneven,but it so worth it! Bjorn had encouraged us to check when restaurants were open - cause some stuff in area closed Monday or Tuesday- but we were able to find some great food and beverages! We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay so much! Thank you!

The view from almost every room is just beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck and the screen porch. Also, the layout of the rooms was nice to gather, but also allowed an escape to find a quiet place to read and relax. This house was spotless, has high quality appliances and large washer/dryer. The location was very close to the Sacandaga and the town.

I’m a newly single mom of 4 (3, 10, 14, 15) and we needed and deserved a relaxing and enjoyable getaway and this was the PERFECT trip! I was a little nervous being my first trip alone with my babies but man we had a blast! We drove 4 hours and even the drive was beautiful. The house was exactly as listed and extremely clean! I packed a cooler full or groceries before we left to be safe not knowing how close a store would be but Tops was literally 11 minutes away and the small Town of Northville was great! We took advantage and walked the streets checking out the small shops and fell in love with the JF Family Farm/Store and picked up some goodies from there multiple times. We grabbed souvenirs from the 5, 10, 25 cent shop as well. We checked out the Mayfield Beach was beautiful and perfect for a day there! It cost $15 for the day and you can come and go as you please. Back at the house we checked out the waterfall down the street which was beautiful and took full advantage of the river each day. We brought tubes and a rope and had an awesome time floating on the River was quite eventful getting the hang of it though hahaha we made s’mores by the fire, watched an amazing thunderstorm over the water on our last full day there and took advantage of the puzzles and board games that were at the house, we had fun searching for bears in the house, we grilled almost everyday and truly just enjoyed the tranquility of it all. Was absolutely perfect! THANK YOU!

This is a beautiful, well-kept home in a great location. It's secluded enough to feel serene, but close to town and shops. We stayed as a family with two young kids as a way to get closer to activities in the Adirondacks, and there are also good local options too. We did have an issue beyond the owners' control, but they were responsive and accommodating. The housekeeper does a fantastic job. This place is truly clean. I'm often a bit skeptical of the cleanliness of rental houses, but not here. I also appreciated that we did not have to lug our own towels with us. There were plenty available for us. The check in and check out process is smooth and reasonable. You really can't go wrong choosing this home.

Bjorn and Sharon have done a wonderful job creating the most warm and charming cabin on the banks of the Sacandaga River. It was everything we were looking for, and more. Beds were extremely comfy and the cabin had all the provisions we needed. Just a short ride to Northville where charm and quaintness abound. We are already thinking about when we can return!

We just spent three days in this, cozy, adorable and warm cabin. The outside temperature ranged from 10 degrees to -25 and we were happily relaxing by the fire, watching the river freeze over. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous. Everything about this cabin was perfect; decor, amenities, cleanliness, location, information and instructions left by owners. We had hoped to cross country ski and snow shoe, but with the windchills around -35 we were happy to stay inside and enjoy the peacefulness and comfort provided by Bjorn and Sharon. We want experience every season at this magical spot!

My fiancé and I went to the cabin in December and everything about it was fantastic the view of the river, the cabin itself, everything. The cabin was very clean and sanitary. The location is fantastic it was a bit cold when we went but the porch was beautiful. The communication with the owner is great and they respond very quickly also very nice people. I would recommend this to anyone you will not be disappointed.

Exceeded expectations. My two sisters and I and our husband's enjoyed our stay. Beautiful fall views, comfortable beds, nicely equipped kitchen. Definitely will stay again.

Was here last year (2021) and this year it's exactly the same. Immaculate inside and out, and the area is Sacandaga. It doesn't get any better than that, if you're a nature lover. Very happy, and the owners respond SO fast if you have questions.

We spent a long weekend with our son and his family. Two boys ages 7 and 9. they enjoyed sleeping in the same room upstairs having a brother sleep over. Everything was just perfect in this house. New appliances in the kitchen and an amazing washer and dryer. The screened in porch was much appreciated. Also loved sitting on the front porch listening to the river. Had smores at the fire pit down by the river with wood supplied under the house. So cute inside! An amazing amount of bears everywhere. We did not count them....although it seems many vacationers have....anywhere from 3 to 4 hundred in the house on lamps ...on pillows...on bedspreads...on walls.....way too cute. All in all we loved our time together and our stay.

The house was extremely clean, the view from the deck is breathtaking, everything was absolutely perfect.

My siblings and I booked this property for our parents for their 40th wedding anniversary so that they could enjoy a nice relaxing getaway and see a new place they had not been before. This property did not disappoint and the host was amazing and very responsive. It was plenty big enough for the two of them with the bedroom they used being on the first floor and two rooms on the second floor they almost didn't even need. I think one of them took a nap up there once but other wise they'd just go up there to look out the window at the view of the river across the street. This was the first time my parents had ever stayed in any sort of rental property and they wouldn't stop telling me just how impressed they were with the cleanliness and organization of the home, all of the little extras that were left so my parents would have some basic items they would need for the house and even instructional cards located throughout the house to provide directions on how to use things or help provide information that they needed. The home owners even had some fire wood at the house that my parents were able to use to have a fire by the river one night. My father would send me daily photos and videos of himself walking into the low river since it was low and fishing a little ways across the river and his catches. He was able to get a temporary out of state fishing license and brought his pole and tackle box with him so he could go out daily while they were there. Multiple times throughout the trip he'd just stand out there and watch the families of deer cross the river and try to talk to them. Needless to say they enjoyed the peacefulness of this home and the occasional trip out to each, shop or sight see at the quaint nearby town. They did two outings, one to a drive through safari and a nearby zoo and were able to feed animals and even get out at the petting zoo part to feed a giraffe and other animals and then they took an hour and a half drive out to Cooperstown to go see the baseball hall of fame throughout a very scenic drive through farm country. All in all it was a great experience for them and I'm hopeful that I can even take my wife and kids there someday to visit as well. Thank you for allowing our family to use your home! =)

Bjorn and Sharon have created a beautiful, accommodating and comfortable space for their guests to enjoy. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the river first thing in the morning. Conveniently close to everything you need, yet secluded enough to offer the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We felt right at home here, often daydreaming of having something just like it ourselves. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!

Very nice, clean, Adirondack style home. Downstairs bathroom with a hot tub shower. Great deck to watch an Eagle fly by, see loons/ ducks in river or stargaze at night. Easy access to wade or just sit by river. Waterfall just short walk up from house. Hiked to and swam in beautiful Tenant Falls on trip. Relaxing location to be close to nature!

We had an excellent time! Whether it was hiking, biking or swimming, it was the perfect Adirondack getaway. The cabin exceeded our expectations, and we’ve already recommended it to our family and friends. Thanks for the lovely stay with the bears. ;)

The house is so well cared for and clean from top to bottom. You can tell the owners really take pride in this house and were very responsive to any questions we had. It was so comfortable and relaxing. Having the river right out the front door was a treat. Its just a short trip to Northville for some shopping and dining. I have to recommend Klippel's Cozy Corner. What nice people and delicious food. Access to the lake is close, hiking is close, we did not run out of things to do. A short trip to Saratoga Springs was a fun excursion. This house is on the top of our list for next year. You won't be disappointed.

The pictures do this home no justice, absolutely immaculate inside and out. The entire cabin was thoughtfully put together to accommodate anyone, from the toiletries to the binder covering things to do in the area, and where to go! Bjorn was absolutely fantastic and a perfect host, allowing us to do as we needed and keep in contact for anything and everything that may have arisen during our stay. The area is absolutely perfect for a getaway with a large river passing by the front of the home (it definitely gets low during the spring/early summer season but comes up later) and two large lakes nearby, the Great Sacandaga and Woods lake, Woods lake is more for the outdoorsman looking to hike a little to get to it, but pristine upon arrival. The locals are welcoming, and Northville is a perfect little town. While you’re in the area do yourself a favor and eat at The Aspen! The food is superb! (Reservations are a good idea and almost necessary everywhere as seasonal hours vary dramatically) Myself and my party will certainly be returning next year, and every year as long as this is an option!!! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this riverside lodge in mid-March 2022. Bjorn and Sharon were so helpful by promptly responding to any questions we had. Checking in was easy. From the moment we walked in, we felt warm and welcome. The home is very clean and comfortable. Every morning we would go for walks along the river road. One day, we saw a family of eagles! Be sure to bring your binoculars. It was so interesting to see the river change from an Arctic landscape to a flowing river in just a few days. We brought groceries with us and found all the cookware and utensils we needed in the kitchen to prepare delicious meals which we enjoyed at the kitchen table by the light of the fireplace. After dinner we would bundle up, and go out on the front port to look at the stars. Checking out was easy too. I would be very happy to return here in the future.
