This property is super cute. Nicely decorated and a lovely view. The front door was missing a privacy blind so we had to hang a towel over it so no one could see in. The only negative is that this unit is in a very old building and the common areas are somewhat dingy looking compared to the standard of the unit

The location of this condo is perfect for seeing the whole island and is close to great beaches. Watching whales breaching, dolphins spinning and turtles swimming right off the deck was fabulous! Denise was incredibly responsive to all our questions and the place was in great shape. When we come back this will be the place we’ll stay!

Navigate the parking entrance wisely ...

We chose this location after a late change of vacation plans. This older building is set back from the ocean but the views are stunning. 507 is protected from the breeze and has wonderful shady mornings. The breaking waves are clearly visible and audible but not so much as to disturb. Be gentle getting into the parking lot. The pool was quiet but regularly maintained and a very pleasant cool off spot. There is a common room with puzzles and books. 507 was also well equipped with games and Island guides. We had easy walks to trails and 10 mins to Poip’u beach park which was safe, shady, excellent snorkeling and seals and turtles as daily visitors. Close by there are grocery stores in Koloa Old town and an abundence of restaurants within a five to ten minute drive. Denise was very prompt with her communication and dealt with any concerns quickly and appropriately.

The property was perfect for our one month stay on Kauai! The hosts were easy to communicate with. Beautiful condo that was stocked with everything a person needs to enjoy life. Very tastefully decorated and a very comfortable bed! Highly recommended!

There’s nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean at night. Perfect setting, perfect location to everything in Poipu.

Very nice comfortable lodging. Well-equipped and maintained. The owner was attentive and responsive. The condo can get warm late in the day but the tradewinds and fans keep it cool enough. Wonderful location.

Great location and view of ocean. You hear the waves crashing into lava rock shores every night. The condo was equipped with everything you need to cook. The condo pool was relaxing and refreshing. The sunsets were beautiful. Great location to number of beaches. I would come back again in heart beat.

Beautiful condo!! The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and kitchen had everything you would need to make a meal. The view of the ocean and sunsets were amazing. There is a great cross breeze and Denise was super responsive and friendly.

Denise's place was fantastic. No complaints, would definitely stay again.

The condo was perfect for our stay in Kauai. The balcony was my favorite part. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking breakfast each morning. It was nice to have laundry in the room as well. There are several books on Kauai in the room which were helpful in deciding which activities we wanted to do. A few things that might be helpful. It was very hot. Yes we stayed at the end of august. The problem was the fans could not be turned to high because they were very loud. The other issue was the beach chairs they supply. We carried them all the way to the beach to find out one was broken. We appreciate that there was a cooler but it didn’t have a handle. We could still use it but it was awkward to hold. When doing laundry the washing machine backs up into the shower. It really stunk bad. I notified the owner and she was going to check this situation out the next time they visited. Other than the fans, the chairs, the cooler and the washing machine, the place was still amazing. We saw turtles in the surf every day from the balcony. Poipu was within walking distance and so convenient. One last thing is to be careful driving into the parking lot. We scoffed the underside of the rental car on our way in the first night. We didn’t see that there was an enormous hump!! You need to take it on an angle if you have a regular car. An SUV would’ve been the better choice to stay here.

We arrived to an uncleaned property. It put a damper on our stay even though the owner refunded our cleaning fee. I didn’t really feel like that remedied the problem since the owner was not out anything. The property is older with older residents. The pool was overly heated and chlorinated. Room was nicely decorated and a great location. I would stay at a resort next time. This place was expensive once you added in all the VRBO fees.

Kauai is one of our very favorite places on earth. We've visited many times over the last 35 years, but this was our first stay at Sunset Kahili. 507 was an absolute dream and an amazing place to stay to celebrate our 15-year-anniversary and to enjoy the very many things we love about Kauai! Denise and Gary have a gift of a place and have done a lovely job of setting up the condo to be very comfortable and a perfect home away from home. It was very difficult to leave after 9 nights but we most definitely hope to return again someday. Aloha and mahalo nui loa!

Denise was highly responsive. Property was as advertised. Perfect size for 2 guests. Nice touches such as guide books, binoculars, beach towels, cooler, etc. to make our stay comfortable. Easy walk to beach.

This property was lovely! The view from the Lanai was beautiful. The sunsets were magical. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night. Plus the bed was amazing!!! Within a 10ish minute walk to the beach. Denise does a great job with this property!! Thank you!!

We had a great experience. The host was helpful, friendly, and easy to communicate with. The condo was well equipped and very comfortable. The views from the balcony and bedroom were amazing! Sleeping to the sound of the ocean made for a highlight of our stay. The balcony furniture was a plus also, and we enjoyed spending time out there each day. The pool was an added bonus, as well as being so close to Poipu restaurants!

Amazing condo, everything you can think of has been taken care of here, clean and comfortable on the inside, and the view from the lanai is spectacular. On a few mornings we shared our coffee on the lanai with spinner dolphins right out in front of us, so close , honestly 100 yards out, and dozens of them! so incredible, wasn’t expecting that. Poipu beach is a 5 min walk, saw monk seals there daily. This was our first time to Kauai and this was truly a perfect place to start from. Thank you Denise for an amazing stay in Paradise!

Great location. Super clean and comfortable. We could walk to the beach. We watched the whales and sunsets from the balcony. We would stay here again. Beautiful!

We had a great time at this condo. It was located within a 10 minute walk to the beach with turtle coves along the way. The view was panoramic and we were able to watch whales, turtles and dolphins from the lanai. Everything we needed to cook meals was available in the kitchen and having the washer/dryer in the unit was a blessing! We would definitely stay at Denise's condo again. The decor was beachy and furnishings very comfortable.

My partner and I had a lovely stay - great views (we were able to see some whales and watch a gorgeous sunset) and great location (easy walk to Poipu beach, Waimea canyon is an accessible drive away, as well as exploring other local towns). Snorkeling gear and beach towels provided were greatly appreciated!

The condo was quiet, beautiful and clean. The view was spectacular and we were able to view whales on several occasions. The location was close to beaches and parks. My wife and I had a wonderful stay here!

What a wonderful time I had! I was in Kauai for a family wedding. I walked everyday to be at the venue and hang with family. There are several beautiful beaches. The monk seals, sea turtles, and whales were so cool to watch.The ocean view and sleeping to the sound of the crashing waves was amazing!!

It was delightful, met our needs and convenience.

Excellent location facing the ocean where we watched the sunset and the moon rise many evenings. Can walk to the nearest beach and observe sea sea turtles emerge at sunset to bask on the sand and sleep. The owner Denise is very accessible and provided terrific information in advance of our arrival that helped us enjoy our stay even more. Highly recommend this location and landlord!

Condo was spacious, well equipped and clean. Only problem we had was with electronic door lock. Contacted owner and she responded quickly. Decided to replace door so we had to deal with broken lock whole 11 days. Only thing I was unhappy about was I didn’t realize lanai overlooked the parking lot. Beautiful view if you didn’t look down.

This condo is beautiful. The views were so amazing. The condo was clean and felt like a home away from home. We would for sure stay again if we come back!

In addition to the fabulous view, this unit is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home. We loved our stay and hope to be back. Denise was very helpful and patient when I didn’t have info needed but had been provided. The location is great, the neighborhood is safe and everyone is super friendly.
