This was our third year staying at The Beach Place. Upon arrival, we discovered that the cleaning crew could use some pointers. Fake eyelashes in the bathroom, sand on the floor and the couches and also sand and food under the couches. This unit could use some ceiling fans too as we were hot the whole time.The bedspreads were disgusting and very outdated. This unit needs some help! Maintenance came in unannounced to change the air filter. Not okay. There was smoking on the balcony and in the pool area. None of the rules are ever enforced here. People came up from the beach and used the pool. Kids were jumping the fence. The security is a joke. They walk around with their heads in their phones not paying attention to anything. Don't bother with the arm bands, they never check to see if you have one. We have come here for our family vacation for three years and between the ridiculous rate increase and lack of concern for their guests, this will be our last year. :(

We had a basically three full day stay (I don’t count the 1st day 4 pm check in and last day check out at 10 am). I paid $2100 and with the expectations set up high. The location is perfect and the unit had a nice view. I had brought my groceries because I enjoy cooking for my family. Well, after trying to fix a meal with pots, pans and utensils there, I gave up and ate out. The coffee mugs have seen better days. The guest bathroom ‘s sink was clogged and the bathtub is gross. The beds are in need to be replaced. Nasty cheap old mattresses. One guess bedroom had no tv and the other had it but with the wrong remote! Please replace the yellowing bath towels! The elevator was malfunctioning. We were celebrating my daughters bday and tried to make the best of our time while there.

Everything was like it was described. I chose this location due to close to everything. Was an adult trip with older parents. They enjoyed watching the boats. Seen dolphins every day. Great location. A little busier in this area due to public beach access and parking lot. But we enjoyed people watching and watching people fish. Area was well patrolled so very safe.

The ladies in the office are not helpful or friendly. We had to wait until after 4 to get our rental. Which was neither good or bad. Until we went into the unit. I can honestly say the only thing that was clean were the toilets. The floor have not been sweep or mopped. The air conditioner never got cold. It hardly ran.

I found a few dirty dishes/utensils and there were not many of them, the master bathroom sink was very slow draining, master bedroom drawers broken, couch was old and didn’t recline properly, hinges on another bedroom was loose. The parking lot was was a race track all night and you could hear the traffic/bridge. We did not get any rest all week. The elevator was so slow and only had one for the entire complex.

Location to John's Pass is good. Walk to everything.Noise from bridge is a little loud at times, but was fun watching the boats go thru.Unit itself was good. A few updates could be done, but not critical for stay. Mattresses could use updating in all rooms. Floors could've been cleaner. Definitely need slip-on shoes or flip flops to wear in unit. Also, nothing left behind from previous renters other than salt n pepper. No paper plates, napkins or paper towel. Utensils are adequate. Overall stay good. Would prefer beach facing unit.

The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, the head boards weren't even connected to bed frame. Very unclean, drawer in the bathroom was broken, blinds were broken. Patio furniture was trash. The elevator was shut down for half the time which we never received a warning and our group had a handicap that could not use the stairs. Management gave very bad first impressions like we were a bother to be there. I have been staying at maderia for over 12 years and this place has been the worst one I have stayed at yet!!

Great vacation overall!However it's the first time we didn't feel safe after dark being off the property. The public parking area and under the bridge were very sketchy after dark and we had not experienced that before.Also it would be nice if the elevator could be updated in the near future.

We came down for 2 weeks, as we try to do every January. We had never used Beach Place, but we’re looking forward to trying it. Yes, we were at the beach. Yes, the pool was great. Yes, the location, an easy walk to John’s Pass, was fantastic. There were a few things, however, that caused us to not give this experience a 5 star rating.
The check in process was confusing. It would have been nice to know ahead of time where the office was located and how to get to it. Condo 305 is very utilitarian. It was adequate, but was lacking some of the convenient, homey features we’ve enjoyed in the past. A floor mop would have been nice because the floor was filthy when we got there. Sand, hairs and other things were left on the floor. The broom was barely functioning.
The TV worked only about 25% of the time.. This was very frustrating. We called numerous times and they came, but the problem was never solved. The WiFi didn’t work either. If you are needing to do any online work, be prepared to be very stressed out. WiFi and cable tv are advertised and the expectation is that they will work.
The unit overlooks the public beach parking lot so there was a lot of activity and a lot of rowdy noise on the weekends. The racing car engines, screaming and yelling we experienced is something you should be aware of if you want a peaceful vacation.

Unit 305
We had a great stay. The unit was plenty large enough for us and well kept and comfortable. We had got lucky and our unit had 2 parking spots our the guest we had for the day had somewhere to park without having to pay. It was lots of fun to see the drawbridge go up and down all the time from our unit. We had our own washer and dryer too so that was helpful with all the wet clothes. Over all we had a great time
A little constructive criticism: the unit could use new cooking utensils and even some pots and pans. The bedrooms need pillow upgrades and being on the beach I think providing some beach towels and little beach chairs/toys would be a nice touch.
A few helpful tips for future renters: you have to bring your own beach towels and toys. The unit doesnt provide any also, there is nothing in the unit at all for salt and pepper shakers, coffee filters, aluminum foil etc. (Most places we have stayed leave that stuff... it felt like such a waste to pitch it) so you will have to hit a dollar general.
We would totally stay here again! Had a great time! No red tide. Son caught a hammerhead shark and a stingray and some other little fish right off the beach! We also saw dolphins from our unit. Out on the beach the sunsets are beautiful! Beaches are well kept and the pool was clean and well kept too!

Redtide is in the area. Smell is terrible and the county workers are working in front of the condos making a lot noise every early morning. The dumpsters with all the dead fish is on the parking. The room was great.
