This is our second stay here, and while the location can’t be beat the house itself is majorly neglected. There is mold on many surfaces inside the home, you can smell and see it. The kitchen cabinets were sticky, and all pots and pans were dirty and needed to be rewashed. While we did enjoy our stay, it was mainly because we were at the beach with family , there were many thi no a missing / needed at this home and I was disappointed in the condition of the home. The hot tub STINKS and I didn’t feel comfortable letting my kids in there, the water was cloudy and gross.

Kitchen cabinet doors and the drawer fronts were sticky and greasy! Everytime I had to get a fork or a plate I had to put gloves on to open the cabinet or wash my hands with hot soapy water. Very gross! A fabulous glass enclosed outside deck with a perfect view of the beach, ocean, sunset but unfortunately completely neglected! There was an inch of dirt and spiderwebs on the glass and plants growing up through the floorboards. This place could be so great if it was better maintained!

We (wife, MIL, 3 wild kids under 8) had a great time at the house, which was perfectly suited for families. With the arcade games, hot tub and sauna, it was an ideal location for a family getaway. Would definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay here. Loved the decor and floorplan of the home as well as the private backyard. Games were lots of fun and enjoyed the massage chair. Definitely the closeness to the beach was a huge plus. Highly recommend this place and plan on returning some day.

This place is perfect. Its a tad short on amenities (no soap in bathroom, no wire whisk, no place to put a reading lamp on other side of bed in main bedroom, no reading lamp in spare room. Also, when the power went out and I called the owner he said: "Why are you calling me?:" It did go on again in about an hour but it would have been nice to get some support.

Property was just as advertised - beautiful setting, clean and right across from the beach. Hot tub was well maintained and the board games and electronic games were a nice plus. This portion of the beach is a bit more crowded as right by the parking lot but it's a large stretch, and be mindful of traffic when crossing the street to the beach if you have kids or pets. Only comment is that the Wifi is very slow and doesn't really support TV streaming - even though a destination like this should be focused on the outside, if that is important to you be aware (used our phone 5G hotspot for TV streaming).

You cannot beat the views at this place. It is literally right across the street and you never have to. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna too. It is very comfortable and very family and pet friendly. This is my 3rd time staying here and I plan on returning as much as I can.

Home is a bit run down- particularly the outdoor areas. Older fixtures, webs in the enclosed sky lights, fading/dirty paint, some broken window coverings, mossy deck, and a musty/mildewy sauna.
However the location is perfect and the beds were very comfortable. My young family enjoyed the pinball machine and they didn’t care about the cold because there was a hot tub. The PS4 and DVD player were also great when the internet was down due to stormy weather.

This is a very special place and when you stay here, you are staying in one of the most beautiful places in the world, and you should be amazed.

There is everything you need, and some things that you didn’t know you needed to feed your soul.
The parking is easy, the views world class, the art held within these walls is enriching.
The backyard is beautifully landscaped, you have a barbecue ,have a sauna you have a hot tub with views. The yard is enclosed. It is a lot bigger than you imagined from the photos, there is shelter from the wind. I walked around barefoot, and I have read some reviews that obviously don’t understand how the coast and the coastal weather can age things and I think it’s all beautiful and well-maintained.

You cannot beat the location - right across from the best dunes in the world and walking distance from main beach and adorable store. The home was clean and felt much larger than we expected. And the massage chair was a surprise hit! We would absolutely go back - it’s really the perfect little spot!

Stunning views, very clean. Close to sight seeing in Tomales Bay, as well as Bodega Bay. Property was dated, charming but a little worn in places. Host was accessible, respectful and responsive.

My spouse and sister and I stayed here with our dogs and had the most incredible time! We have been to Dillon beach many times but never had rented a house so close to the beach—literally right across the street. The house was well laid out and very well equipped with kitchen items and the sauna and hot tub were a huge hit. The yard was well fenced and nicely decorated. Overall an excellent experience.

Unfortunately this was a 74th birthday weekend. I had a serious case of the flu. Asked owner if I could reschedule but he said no he couldn’t refund. Didn’t ask for refund just reschedule. Had to stay in bed. Internet was being repaired so no tv or phone. Repairman came in afternoon. When he left the internet went out every 3 mins. Frustrated I called the guys multiple times. Finally stayed on in late evening.
Cottage is lovely. Needs some repairs. Every sliders locks were broken used sticks in rail. Nail in wall with sofa instructions dangerous for anyone sitting on the couch . Everything was clean and I would come back to this lovely spot again. Could use steak knives as the only sharp knives were huge.
Lots of amenities, sauna, hot tub, pin ball, massage chair. Beautiful beach view, very private.

The lights outside don’t work and putting tape on them is not a fix,The shower is not enough to wash yourself and I’m bald,My wife is Hispanic and has long hair and it’s impossible to wash her hair.The bbq is older than me ,Invest in a new $ bbq once in a couple years..The curtains we’re non existent in the front room as he told me but made sure to charge for pet fee.The furnishings were moved and was told they would be moved back to there normal spots but were not..I love this place for sure but being honest how I feel is just me..And the bright side the pinball machine was awesome and the massage chair was a big plus…But I’d give up both to have a shower that my wife and I could shower properly.,I hope this helps because it’s a great place but nobody says what I did..I might be blocked from ever renting again but if soo those things would be greatly appreciated.Also we left the place spotless.,ask the cleaning lady.I’ve rented here twice.Love it for the most part..Thanks,

Loved the house! We had some trouble figuring out the 2 TV's. My only complaint about outside was the deck out front had glass around it, to protect you from the wind, which was great, but it was very dirty from the salty air. I suppose. Wasn't great to look through. Other than that, the hot tub, massage chair and sauna were great! Oh....the light inside the sauna was not working...or we didn't know how to turn it on??? Perfect location! Thanks so much! We will definitely return!

Tucked away in the heart of this beautiful beachtown, this property exceeded expectations. We loved the furnishings, access to the beach, and view. After a very hard month, we came here to recharge. I greatly appreciated the massage chair, which I used often during our stay. The pinball machine was a fun addition that occupied my partner while I was focused on my massage! Well organized and laid out, the furniture was great for stretching out for a movie. We appreciated the additional blankets in the bedroom. The inside of the house was very clean. The master bed was so comfortable, with resort-like bedding. Our dog moved about freely and we felt safe allowing her to roam. We brought her crate just in case but realized we had no need for it, as she wasn't able to reach anything or get into trouble. We wished we utilized the sauna, hot tub, and fireplace, but ended up spending time either staying warm indoors, cooking and eating, or enjoying the local general goods store and restaurant. Next time we'll utilize those, as we definitely will return! There was plenty of space for 4 other adults, with a 2nd bedroom and sofa bed. The backyard was nice for a grownup vacation, but we didnt feel comfortable letting our dog freely roam back there. The beach elements had worn away at the wooden decks and rusted the sharp stone holder by the sauna. She's clumsy and gets hurt easily. We also found old poo on the deck. We only wish the doors locked more securely and the bedroom tv had roku.

We really enjoyed the location and the layout of the house. We loved being a minutes walk from the beach and the having the view of the open ocean all across the front of the house. The neighbors are kind and helpful. The house has lots of light and the roar of the ocean is 24/7. There is a small store close by and the old Dillon neighborhood just a minute walk from the front door. The bed was really comfortable and we enjoyed the message chair. We had a great getaway.

Dillon Beach is very remote for sure but the location of the property could not be better. Sit in the hot tub and watch the sunset and hear the waves crashing - beautiful! The listing is very accurate. This is not modern as some renters expect. It is more rustic. Due to the conditions, you will need to do a little work if you want to sit on the deck or use the sauna as they needed to be cleaned up. If you live within driving distance, you could bring items such as beach towels and beach chairs. You will only have bath towels here. Access to a clothes dryer would be nice as you will have wet towels and bathing suits. The bedrooms are tight but the living space is very large. Very dog friendly beach and fun to watch the surfers. Plenty of windows to enjoy an amazing view!

The property was just as described, and was very comfy and well-equipped. The walk to the beach was just a few minutes, and the sound of the ocean waves from the house was exactly what I needed!
