Beach front remodeled condo, great baloncy to view sunrise & sunset!
Tenemos maravillosas vistas del océano y nuestra unidad ha sido recientemente remodelado, sin el aumento de la tarifa! Nuestra eficiencia está equipada con 2 camas queen, cocina completa y, nuevamente, fantásticas vistas del océano desde un balcón privado. Island Retreat cuenta con 2 piscinas en el sitio, barbacoas, pistas de tenis y un parque infantil. Despierta a los sonidos de las olas o dar un paseo relajante por nuestra junta paseos que conducen a la playa, que marca sus propias huellas personales en la arena. Familia Challenge y amigos para algunas actividades deportivas utilizando nuestro voleibol, baloncesto, petanca y pistas de tenis. Great place! Needs a few light bulbs, handle needs to be fixed on sliding glass door (very sharp metal piece sticking out) and this would help to close door. We look forward to returning!!

We loved the overall property. Our condo was very clean. Several lights were burned out. The handle to the balcony was broken. It seems like no one had checked on the property in a while. The last review before our stay was in May of 2024 and it was positive. So either they didn’t turn on the lights or go out on the balcony or they were the ones who broke everything. Our contact responded quickly but must live somewhere else because something very important was missing and it took until the next evening to get it delivered. We lived the pool! We will come back but stay at a different condo.

This was the perfect spot for our annual Girls’ Weekend. The condo was on the beach and we really enjoyed being able to easily come back for lunch. The space was clean and just the right size for us for a long weekend getaway.

This is the fourth year in a row we have stayed at island retreat, different rooms though. The place is great and the location is perfect. You can see the water from the second floor and can easily walk to the water. Close proximity to plenty of restraunts. I never have played but they do have a pool and tennis courts on the property. Property manager at this condo is great, we had to make changes to our plans twice and they were quick to accomidate. Overall great place for a small family.

Communication was a little slow. Some features about the condo that need updating but overall for the price it was pretty good.

The condo was slightly bigger than I thought. The bathroom could use more hooks for wet clothes. Bathroom could use a better shower curtain as the current falls down and off anytime it’s touched. Hit my kid twice in the head. The toilet lid needs to be tightened and resecured. The dishwasher soap lid wouldn’t latch.
The good was the location and access to the beach, short drive to downtown, view is amazing and the beds were comfy. The temporary ac unit worked Great!

We made sure to set an early alarm to watch the sunrise on the balcony. What a beautiful view from the balcony. The sound of crashing waves and view of them added to the outdoor viewing experience. There were plenty of birds to watch flying by along the shore. The short walk to the beach has a nice boardwalk. We took advantage of it to enjoy the water. Humidity was high but it didn’t damper our stay in the least.

We really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. The location could not have been better and the amenities on site were wonderful! We loved the walkway to the beach. The unit itself was clean and had everthing we needed for our stay. The view from the unit was beautiful and breathtaking. We spent a lot of time on the balcony taking it all in. Had a bit of trouble regulating the ac until to anything but super cold of just the fan. We could have used a blanket or two as to help with the cold. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Our stay at Island Retreat could not have been better ! We were able to book a room with a beautiful view of the shoreline, and we fully enjoyed seeing the sea from our patio and the windows. The room was so clean and comfortable, with every amenity we could have asked for. We will come back to the Island Retreat !

Loved the ocean views and sitting on the balcony. Also loved that we could walk over the dunes straight onto the beach!! The space is compact but very comfortable. And finishes are all very well done. We are looking at our calendar to plan the next trip to book this property.

If you want a place that is incredibly close to the beach, close to a pool & feels safe, this could be your best fit. If you want something sexier, new/updated, with bells & whistles, you may want to keep looking. The condo will meet all your basic needs - full kitchen, space to eat, small living area, 2 beds & full bath. The pictures & description are accurate. It is an older unit in an older complex. This did not bother me as I was there on a photography trip & just needed a place to rest my head & get ready in the morning. A few thoughts on how the condo could be slightly improved - reinstall the toilet paper holder, replace the cracked window, clean or repaint the balcony (someone smeared dirt on the walls) & either replace the storm door that was obviously there at one time or remove all the unneeded hardware for the door frame. That being said, I would consider this condo again if visiting the area.

We ended up being moved to 132 instead of the one we rented because the owner was having a maintenance issue with the other. Appreciated that. The lawn etc of the property is very nice with nice large areas, pools etc. Nov is a great time to go because the properties are not busy. We had a nice view of the walkway to the beach - and dunes - nice. The one we were in needs some remodeling but it was clean. An Easy stay.

There was an unfortunate problem with our room, but the property manager fixed it quickly and kindly. We ended up having a very nice stay. Short walk down the boardwalk to the beach. Good time of year for a quiet, uncrowded visit. Would book again. Be aware that the automated welcome email is out of date and recommends a restaurant that closed in 2019. The Dollar General had surprisingly good prices for bacon, eggs, and such.

It was comfortable and easy to check in after hours. Convenient to come back to when out and about so we didn’t have to carry everything with us all day. Well Sunday lied with kitchen dishes and cookware. Fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, oven all great to have for leftovers from area restaurants. Boardwalk to beach. Some basic maintenance is needed- two lightbulbs in the kitchen not working, one light bulb on wall in sitting area not working. One lamp not working. One bulb in bathroom not working. Balcony light not working. Mildew/mold on bottom of shower curtain. Some ants and other bugs but not infested.

The place was well kept and furnished well. Loved the sunrises over the gulf. Well maintained and ac worked great. Very minor issue was no toilet tissue holder and there were some small beetle-type bugs in the bathroom and kitchen. Great place and I’ll come back if I get the chance.

The place was perfect for two! Beach is a quick walk! Pickle ball and tennis courts are right across the street along with 1 of 2 neighborhood pools. Super safe and cozy place.

This property was just what i was looking for. My mom and i used to live in port A. But she had not been there in 30 years. Room had nice cold ac. All appliances were brand new. Accees to the beach was fantastic with a great veiw of the ocean. Price was great compared to staying in a motel. I recommend this place anytime! Great stay!

We wanted a place close to the beach and this fit perfectly. The boardwalk was close-by which leads right to the sands. The place itself was very cozy with s good view. We really enjoyed our time there.

Me and my family stayed here and it was really nice. We had everything we needed and plenty of space to put our clothes since we would be there a week. The kitchen was also very nice. There is an ocean view from the balcony and a boardwalk to the beach. It was also located near the stores and restaurants. We loved the pool the most! It was really nice and big with plenty of lounge chairs and a gazebo with plenty of tables. We cooked in the kitchen a few nights and dollar general was also right down the street so we could get some baking dishes and utensils. (They provide a lot! It’s just our personal preference to use our own.) We will definitely be back!

We needed to take a break from the daily grind and we absolutely loved our stay. We could see and hear the ocean from our room! Easy access to the beach and the pools. Everyone was so friendly and the place is relatively quiet even in busy season. Perfect fit for our family and will definitely keep coming back!!

The view was very nice the room was very nice overall. It was nice accept the roaches the first morning one crawled out of the coffee pot then later that day 1 almost fell on my head walking through the. Door overall we killed about a dozen open in the room definitely needs to be few negated.

Nice place ! Quick easy on a boardwalk to the beach and easy drive to town, but not right in the middle of a crowded area! (Which we enjoyed)
Pictures are accurate. We enjoyed our stay even though it rain the entire beach vacation.
