My family and I had another wonderful stay in Belfast. Located a couple blocks from the center of town, we enjoyed having a "home base" walking distance to the water, shops, and restaurants in the center of town. The house itself was comfortable as always with plenty of room to find a quiet spot when needed and a great kitchen for cooking meals.

I was impressed with how well stocked it was. We all like to cook and it was the best kitchen we have had in all the years of renting from VRBO. The space was wonderful for multiple family members. The location is so accessible to shops and outdoor spaces. It is next to a busy road so there is a fair amount of traffic noise without that this house would be 100% for me. We hope to return again next year.

Lee and Charlie’s home in Belfast is the perfect place to stay. The location close to the boat house was perfect for sea glass hunting on the beach and walking into town for ice cream, a new book, a new toy, a beer or to eat at a restaurant. The interior of the home worked perfectly for our family of 5. The house is well stocked with all the necessities and even more thoughtful things for day trips. We had an amazing stay at their home. They communicated with us in a very timely fashion and the check in and out process was very easy. I

The house is large and airy with great porch and patio sitting areas. Comfy beds. The kitchen is well stocked with everything for cooking at home, including large lobster pot, roasting pan, and stock pot.
Wish list items - knife sharpener, lobster picks, large cutting board and serving platters. We love to cook!
Things to know: parking at the house will work for up to 3 regular sized cars (not trucks or large SUVs). Everything is in walking distance if you don't have mobility issues. Make time for the Saturday Farmers Market and buy lobsters and clams for home cooking at The Lobster Pound!

Lovely property thoughtfully furnished, great kitchen, fabulous owners. We had a great stay, didn't want for anything.

We had the good fortune to stay at Lee and Charlie's house for the first week of August. It was the perfect place for the nine of us, including two small grandchildren. The house is located a very easy walking distance to town and the harbor front, which made everything in Belfast very accessible. The house was very clean, and very well stocked up. My only suggestion would be to have some beach chairs and blankets available, as there are concerts at the nearby park and many beaches in the area.
The house was large, with four bedrooms, two kitchens, 2 1/2 bathrooms, and everyone was able to find some private space. There were clear instructions for check in, check out and how to run the washer and dryer. Communication with Lee and Charlie was easy.
We loved sitting on the front porch with coffee watching people go by.
Everyone in the family commented on how good a house it was for our needs, and I hope we are able to stay there again in the future. Highly recommended!

This house was very charming! Perfect for our group of three small families. It had all the basics for cooking, good pans, etc. Wish it had kid (plastic) plates and cups, but that might be my only piece of feedback. The co-op down the street is great, and easy to get to. Belfast is a sleepy little town that’s quaint, and was a not-too-bad distance to Acadia (1:20 mins).

Three generations of our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this multi-bed, well-equipped house! It had everything we needed and lots that we didn’t even know we needed! Our hosts were prompt and upbeat responders. We would definitely stay here again.

We chose this house for a family get together as my sister lives in the area so the location couldn’t have been better! Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants and close to the harbour. This house was one of the best equipped that we have been in…great kitchen with more than adequate dishes and glassware for a large group, plenty of towels and a great supply of paper products and soaps. The house is very spacious but also feels cozy. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Great home for our family vacation and first visit to Belfast. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the front porch, and walking into town. We appreciated the number of bedrooms, big dining room, and historic character of the house. The kitchen is modern and had everything for cooking and baking.

Beautiful home, perfect for a couple of families. Great walking into Belfast and enjoying the town.

Wonderful family vacation!
The property was just as advertised! Beautiful inside and out! The second "apartment" was perfect for my brother and his young family. There was plenty of room to be together as well as have some privacy. Being a former chef I'd prefer gas kitchen appliances however the electric stove held up great, even using two large lobster pots at the same time! The area was quiet and the front porch was used every morning for coffee. The town is walking distance for anything you need. Due to dietary reasons we cook over 90% of our own meals and the kitchen and dining area was absolutely equipped for the 10 people in our family, from ages 3 to 81. Considering the past 2-3 years we all had, this was a perfect place and exactly what we needed.

Great place
The house has just about everything a big group could need. The town has pretty places to walk, run, bike, as well as good places to eat and drink. And the town is not over-touristy.

Beautiful home and fantastic location
We had an amazing time at this lovely home. Our daughter was married in Rockland, and the house was a perfect place for her to prepare for the wedding and for us to visit before the big day.
Great space with easy walking distance to beautiful Belfast. We also rented bikes at CBs Bike Shop and enjoyed the local shops and restauarnts.

Charming House in Quaint Seaside Town! Perfect!
This house is well kept with a 1900th-century feel and all the comforts of our time! The decor is fresh and new without detracting from the authenticity of the time period of the house. I loved style. In fact, I took pictures to try to recreate some of the New England charms in my own house.
Our group consisted of two families traveling together. This house was perfect for us! Each family had their own private part of the house with 2-3 bedrooms (depending on how you configure the pass-through rooms) and our own bathrooms. This configuration offered us the private space we needed and also gave us space to come together on the main floor for meals, to relax, and to spend time together. This house would also be great for 1 large family as you can configure the pass-through rooms to make it one large house.
The kitchen is modern and well stocked with everything you need to make some great meals.... including good knives and a crock-pot!
The bathrooms are clean, modern, and well stock with plenty of towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a blow dryer!
We loved having a washer and dryer in the house! Both are new, large capacity, and very efficient.
Belfast is a charming coastal town.... the house is within walking distance of the center of town and the shore. We loved walking all around the neighborhoods and admiring the New England architecture and gardens. There is a small grocery store (Co-Op) within walking distance or a bigger and nicer (Hannaford) within a 5-minute drive.
For what our two families wanted to see of Maine, this house in Belfast was centrally located. Acadia National Park, Castine Harbor, Owls Head, and Rockland Breakwater Lighthouses were all within a 1hr and a few minutes drive.
We ate in town most nights... A word of advice......make reservations early! Most restaurants and shops close early. Everything in town seemed to wind down around 8-8:30 pm. Even in July! One of our favorite places to go was Wild Cow Creamery...YUM! One can not have too much ice cream on vacation! : )
Overall, our two families loved our stay in Belfast and this lovely house. Thank you Lee for sharing your comfortable and beautiful home.

The house was roomy and well equipped. It was great for a multigenerational family vacation. There was enough privacy but within walking distance to Belfast.

Exceptional property!
Three of my grown children and their families stayed with me at Lee's and Charlie's gorgeous home in Belfast. Remarkably, we all had our own bedrooms, except for 2 grandchildren who slept in the bunk beds.
In addition to the spacious living room, dining room and kitchen on the first floor, we also could sprawl onto the front porch or the back deck. A fenced in yard was ideal for the 3 year old who needed to run around.
Besides being really lovely and well-equipped, the house was just 2 blocks from the library and perhaps 4 block from the center of town, which had something for everyone of us.
We are all so glad we found this wonderful place to gather for a reunion.

We had a marvelous week at Lee and Charlie’s home. The house was immaculate, spacious and very homey. It had a combination of old world charm combined with modern features and we thought it was splendid. The home is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The second floor apartment is a nice bonus to give extended family members privacy. The front porch with the rocking chairs was one of our favorite spots to sit and relax. We enjoyed the close proximity to town. On a daily basis we would walk through the park along the Harbor Walk and walk across the bridge back into town to visit the shops. Chases Daily became our favorite go to place in the mornings. It has a great menu and lots of grab and go items. The easy access to Route 1 was fantastic and worked great for our trips to Bar Harbor, Bucksport, Camden, Rockland and Boothbay Harbor. The week was very memorable and we thank Lee and Charlie for sharing their home with us. Our stay was exceptional! The home is located just a few easy blocks from downtown Belfast. We walked to dinner each evening followed by a stroll along the waterfront. Everyone had privacy in the home but we all joined together for meals and evening tv time. The internet connection was strong for the times I had to pop on for a bit of work. The owners were so easy to communicate with and the check in process was a breeze. We cannot wait to return!

Perfect for 2 families and right in town!
We had a great stay in Belfast at Lee and Charlie’s beautiful, well-appointed property. Traveling with a group was easy as pie due to the unique setup of the house, and we were able to seamlessly enjoy all the house’s amenities without any challenges, including an amazing kitchen, accessible and easy-to-use grill, fast WiFi for those who needed to log in to work now and then, and a Roku. The common spaces are comfortable and homey, and the bedrooms divinely comfortable. The property was well-located in town, making it easy to walk to local spots, and because it’s right in Route 1, we enjoyed quick and easy travel to Camden, Lincolnville, Rockland, and Rockport. We loved the thoughtful check-out list and the very helpful restaurant reviews included in an informational binder. It’s clear Lee and Charlie love their home and their community, and we look forward to staying at their beautiful Belfast home again in the future!

Great for a group
This property is a lovely house, well located and furnished, but in addition its setup was perfect for our three generation family (2 aged parents, 2 daughters and partners, 3 grandsons aged 12, 9, and 2). There is a lot of space in the house, including a separate back apartment for any part of a group that wants privacy. The configuration of space meant that larks and owls could read, cook, watch tv, etc on their different schedules without bothering the others. The back yard with its patio was great, especially for the children, but we older folks found we liked sitting on the comfortably furnished front porch and watching the world go by. Because the owners live in the house part of the time, the kitchen is much better equipped than in most short term rentals. The dining room was large enough for all of us to sit together at dinner, and also large enough to set out a buffet for the full 21 people at our family reunion. The bedrooms are large, quiet, and well furnished. The house also provides basic baby equipment (crib, booster seat) and a large capacity washer and dryer. The location is great, just a short walk to the Belfast Coop, Main Street, and the harbor, and although High Street is a bit busy we felt comfortable letting the two older boys go into town on their own. For larger errands, the house is a short car trip from a supermarket, and it is well located for some nice beaches and other sites of interest. This house is perfect for a family group like ours or for a couple of sets of friends who are sharing a vacation but don't want to be on top of each other.

Incredible house!
We loved staying at this historic house in Belfast -- incredibly appointed, spacious (as the ad says), the reality is much better than the photos suggest! We had both the smaller 2 bedroom apartment with the bunkbed room and large bedroom and kitchen, and the much larger 3 bedroom house. The common areas are grand -- the front porch and side patio expansive... The hosts were a delight. It is close enogh to walk into downtown Belfast, the restaurants, Co-op, etc.

Beautiful home in a great location!
We loved staying here! Our family of 5 was very comfortable and we were also able to host friends with room to spare during our 3 week stay. Belfast is a lovely and vibrant community with lots to do and plenty of natural beauty. We enjoyed community events like the street fair and farmer’s market, took a lobster boat tour with our kids, visited with our local friends and swam in lakes, ponds or the ocean almost every day. We did all of this while always knowing we had a wonderful house to come back to at the end of the day where we could sit on the front porch and recount the day. Thank you Lee and Charlie!

This house has Maine character in a great town
We had a large group and this house offered plenty of space. The kitchen was well appointed for making meals for 8. Bedrooms worked well including apartment space for extra privacy. Kids loved the bunk room. The house is well situated for walking everywhere in town as well as harbor sidewalks and the beach. Highly recommended.

Another wonderful week
Our family enjoyed our third summer at this home. We took advantage of the spacious layout and wonderful back yard, and, as always, found new places and activities to enjoy in Belfast. We had a delightful time, and hope to return again.

WONDERFUL
This is a great house! it's right on the main road, but they have double glazed windows, so it wasn't noisy at all.
there are two huge bedrooms in the main house, with queen beds, then a double in a smaller room. there is only one full and one half bathroom, but worked out fine.
there is a small deck out the back of the house with a barbeque, off the generously proportioned dining room. the garden is enormous and has resident squirrels and birds, who come to eat at the feeder outside the living room window.
the living room is at the front of the house, with lots of light, a TV and a pellet stove, also very large, and there is comfortable seating for 7 people. a deck at the front of the house has comfortable furniture for lounging and watching the world go by.
the kitchen is enormous and not terribly efficient, but who cares!? it has a lovely tin ceiling, a huge refrigerator/freezer, plenty of space for food, a wine fridge, a dishwasher, and a bose CD player with a great selection of music.
the attached granny flat (apartment above the garage) has a queen sized bed in the main bedroom, and a smaller bunk-bed room, which also leads into the smaller double bedroom in the main house, if you are renting the whole thing. this apartment has a good sized bathroom with shower/toilet and a separate kitchen & living area with a futon. also a big tv. the apartment is accessed by a separate set of stairs off the side door hallway. both of these share a laundry room, with big machines.
everything was organized and clean. they have a great separation system for recycling. there were cleaning and laundry supplies, cloth napkins, pot holders, dish towels, plenty of bed linens and also towels. also food basics, so check the house before buying anything!
2 very good supermarkets to choose from, the organic Co-op is just down the street. the house has central heating. only parking for one large SUV or truck, possibly 2 small cars, unless you use the garage, but there's plenty of parking in the area, just not outside the house. Beautiful old houses in the neighborhood, a very short walk to town & shops, very convenient location!
I cannot say enough about this lovely house that has been thoughtfully furnished by the wonderful owners.

A wonderful vacation experience.
What a treat it was for my family and I to spend a lovely week in this beautiful, historic home! Lee and Charlie were gracious and caring hosts and welcomed us warmly. The home was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. We appreciated having the crib for our 15 month old granddaughter and our four-year-old granddaughter loved the bunk room and the toys. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped to accommodate our needs. We enjoyed preparing several meals, eating outside on the deck and relishing the cool, Maine evening. The proximity to Belfast was perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping. We especially loved walking along the harbor walk and appreciating the beauty of this very special town. Belfast is in a perfect location along the coast for easy driving to many sights. We enjoyed visiting Acadia National Park, Owls Head lighthouse, Camden and climbing Mount Battie. I can't forget all the lobster pounds we found along the coast that had their own individual flair and were all delicious. Young's lobster pound is very convenient to the house and was the largest and quite a sight to see. Thanks Lee and Charlie for sharing your amazing home with us. We have wonderful memories from our week in Belfast and we hope to return.
