Overall the house was good. There were plenty of positives about the property. The view was fabulous. On the negative side the house could have been a little cleaner. We found mold in 2 of the 3 showers, and we found chip crumbs and French fries in the carpet.

I like to stay, the property was clean and beautiful. I love the customer service they are very responsible and nice.

The house is three levels with two bedrooms on the top floor and two on the bottom floor. The main level has dining and sitting and kitchen and the lower level has the game room with pool table. No TV on the lowest level at all. There is a very small amount of dish soap, 1 roll of paper towels and borax in the house, just enough for 1-2 nights. There is not foil, kitchen counter cleaner or any seasonings at all in the house. The beds in the two queen rooms are very comfortable and have a thick memory foam topper. The two rooms with the single queens are very uncomfortable without any topper. There are probably not enough forks and spoons in the house and with two families you will wash all the silverware each day. The house is water front but the lake is so incredibly low it is not reasonable to walk to it. There is no path so you're walking through the wild in water shoes which is no good. There is a boat ramp around the corner which is easier to access but the ramp is closed because of the low water so you're really just getting a pathway down to the water line which is valuable. There are some people that set up their easy ups down by the water but it is far- like more than 100 yards from the bottom of the boat ramp. The water line near the house is mostly overgrown with lake plants so it's a little yucky. I just listed the cons- but it's a great house and we enjoyed our stay.

Stunning view, very well maintained property! For a rental it has a great selection of pans and utensils, that made my heart happy. This home is set up great for family's that love to cook dinner and eat around the table together or the fire pit!with a little down hill walk you can get some fishing or swimming in! Game room was a hit for the kids when they were done fishing! Highly recommended and would stay again! Beware lots of stairs may be harder on older groups, I myself enjoyed it!

The house is very lovely with a great view. Our group was older and it would have been nice to know that there were no bedrooms on the main level. That was an issue for us as some of us were unable to navigate the stairs to the bedrooms..

We had a great stay for our group of 10 people. The view of the lake from the living room was gorgeous and the room layouts accommodated our group perfectly with lots of space to enjoy. However, I do suggest the unit supply more silverware (mainly forks & spoons). We didn't have enough for our entire group for just one meal and had to go buy some plastic cutlery so we didn't have to rewash forks and/or spoons after every meal. Also, we found a small dead roach on top of one of the plates in the cupboard. Bugs happen but perhaps a bit more attention to the cleaning. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Great place, my family loved it! Looked even better in person than it did in the pictures or video. My only concern is that it wasn't accessible for my elderly parents due to the stairs; they had to stay on the main floor and sleep in the living room. Also had some issues with temperature regulation. The temperature on the top floor was too hot and it was difficult to sleep. We tried adjusting it too a cooler temperature, but it would go back to being too hot. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

This wonderful home was close to the venue for our daughter’s wedding. Through all the hectic activities of a wedding weekend, it was nice to be able to come back and relax at this house, with its beautiful views, fire pit, and game room. The surrounding area was quiet and relaxing. As we sat on the deck, we especially enjoyed the periodic sighting of “nature” wandering by. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. (There are lots of stairs/steps and levels, so if there are children or concerns with this, be alert.). We loved this home and location and highly recommend it!

Highly recommended. 5 stars everything was perfect. Amazing views. When we viewed the pictures we were exited, when we arrived we were surprised how much nicer the place is in person.

This house provided everything we needed to accommodate our family of 11! The games downstairs provided lots of entertainment! The view is beautiful and we enjoyed mornings and evenings around the fire pit while feeding deer. We will definitely be back and share with others!

Little piece of paradise
I highly recommend the Texas Rose House! We had an amazing host who did not mind quickly answering my text messages about things around the property/town. Everything was clean and there was enough starter items in the home that we did not have to purchase very much which is saying a lot since we had a group of10 people. I was concerned about hot water since there were 10 of us and I saw a prior review about a hot water issues but we had no problems at all with this! The beds were very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and your choice of multiple lounge areas which was great to come home to after a long day on the lake with 8 teenagers. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with our family!
My only suggestion:
- Update your virtual tour video. There have been a few updates since you recorded that.
- Add a TV to the two downstairs rooms.

Memorial Day Weekend Getaway 2022
We were in town for a family wedding which took place in Spring Branch and the Texas Rose property was more than adequate as our base and suitable for our party of eight with some visitors at times. The common area of the home was very open with a wonderful view of Canyon Lake from the picture windows. We spent a lot of time there and on the deck over-watching the abundance of deer and water activity. We took an occasional stroll down to the boat ramp. The AC was excellent and everyone slept comfortably. The water pressure in the bathrooms was excellent and we had plenty of hot water as one of our major themes while there was preparing for a number of events surrounding the wedding. Parking was plentiful but a little steep and on a bend in the road. The drive in and out of Canyon Lake was easy. Lot's great places to eat in the area and everyone was super friendly. The Rose does have some normal wear and tear and we reported a couple minor issues to the property manager who was very prompt to respond to our needs. This could have easily swung to a four star rating had the property manager not been so attentive. Overall this was a very pleasant place to stay and we only wish we had more time to barbecue and take advantage of all the accoutrements the Rose had to offer. After it was all said and done our only regret was we could not stay longer. Thanks for being a wonderful host.

Great Family Time
Outstanding view of the lake. Great exposure to deer. Trail to get in shallow area of the lake. Restaurants and grocery store within ten minutes. Rented boat at marina ten minutes away. Less than an hour drive to lots of great Hill Country places.

Wonderful Group Trip
Deer eat corn out of your hand, water was gorgeous and the house had tons of character. Love this place, second trip was better than the first.

Rustic Vibe
Older property with a nice view of lake. Kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked. The shuffleboard, foosball and pool table are great. Cleanliness and attention to detail need improvement (toilets, floor, stray belongings and cigarette butts at firepit).

Enjoyable Easter Getaway
What a great weekend, there were enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own room, comfy beds, the house was clean and the view was beautiful. The walkway to the lake was an uphill hike coming back, too much for some of our older family members, but there is a boat ramp with public parking just around the corner, so we accessed the lake from there and enjoyed playing in the water. We didn't find the deer corn can on the porch until after we purchased a big bag ourselves, so your can is replenished now, LOL! The kids loved feeding the deer. I can't think of anything more we could have asked for or expected, it was a perfect weekend. Thank you for sharing your home!

Ok Place
The cabin was gorgeous and we had a great time feeding all the deer. The management company was good to. However, we had NO hot water the entire trip and the toilets were working right. We also requested and was approved for late check out at 1pm and they started rushing us out at 12:30. Overall, the cabin it's self and the scenery was wonderful. It just sucks having no hot water at all with 9 people all trying to shower in the 30 degree weather.

Gorgeous View of Lake
View was outstanding, loved the deck, deer were amazing, plenty of room for all family(11), kitchen was well equipped. Only suggestion is to have the floors mopped & cleaned really well( not just vacuumed).

SPECTACULAR VIEWS!
Loveliest views ever! Deer and bird watching, glorious sunrises, perfect porch balcony for morning coffee and/ or evening cocktails. Plenty of room - spacious bedrooms, good number of bathrooms, big lounging areas indoors and out, lots of dining space and at least a 4 butt kitchen. Well decorated and comfortable. Great homebase for daily activities. Now for what needed improvements: 6 active, but careful senior women needed bathmats in every shower; there are lots of little ledges, big steps up and down and in and out (not for the accessibility challenged!); full length mirrors in every bathroom or bedroom would be helpful; backdoor onto porch needs WD40 badly; the information sheet that is said to be on the wall is not on the wall, we had to search for it and it REALLY needs a make-over. It is filthy - we could barely read some of the instructions; the double coffee maker needs both some easily available instructions and a good cleaning. It would be great to have a list of recommended restaurants and nearby shopping included with the check-in/check-out instruction list in a booklet or notebook of some sort. This was a relatively quiet neighborhood for this time of year which we appreciated, and some of us enjoyed the streaming services on the TV's. Thanks for the starter sets of everything that were supplied. I would definitely recommend Texas Rose Lodge for a family with elementary aged kids and older.

The house was furnished with anything you would need. The back patio and deer everywhere was the best experience. It would have been nice to have closer access to go swimming.

Canyon Lake
The house could not have been more perfect for our group of 12. The 3 levels, the game tables and the outdoor decks were perfect for our group. I was a little concerned about the 3 boys in our family between the ages of 11-17. I should not have given it a second thought. They loved every minute and were busy the whole time. We went boating (the boat dock was just a block away) and to the Comal Park swimming/picnic area which was nearby as well. We bought deer corn and fed the deer daily. A group floated the river too. It was a wonderful trip and we are already talking about returning. Thank you for an amazing week!

Gorgeous view!!!!
We loved our stay at this beautiful property ❤️ Eleven of us had plenty of room to spread out in the large comfortable living area, wonderful porch and downstairs game room. My grandkids had the best time feeding the deer, playing in the game room, and swimming in the lake. The bedrooms were comfortable with lots of pillow choices, fans, and extra blankets. The kitchen was easy to work in and had all needed cookware , serving ware and appliances. There are plenty of quiet time area options from swings outdoors to bedrooms away from the noise a happy family creates. One grandson proclaimed it his ‘ Dream House’ while a granddaughter said she wanted to live there. There’s a nice laundry room and three full bathrooms- each located off a hallway in different areas of the house - in addition to the four bedrooms. We all agreed we’d love to return to this amazing property!

What a Stay!
Exactly as advertised in the listing... very impressive. Great price for the location which does have direct access to the lake. We went swimming a bunch. The 4 private rooms made for all our guests to be comfortable. And the living room couch is HUGE and can sleep at least two more people if necessary. Games are in good shape and the fire pit is a must-use. The deer are super-friendly, we had them eating out of our hands. In close proximity to marina where you can rent a boat or waverunner. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and silverware and laundry is easy to use. TV has access to all the streaming services you have a log in for.

Weve stayed at Texas Rose before. It is a great property with multiple bedrooms & interesting lay out. The Lake View is beautiful. The Deer are plentiful and you can hand feed them & throw lots of corn. Very close to boat ramp 8. We enjoyed it. My suggestions are to change out the Full Size beds to Queens in the bedrooms that only have One Mattress. A Queen is really necessary for two people to sleep comfortably in a single bedroom. Also those beds need mattress toppers. The beds are extremely firm (both full size mattresses) that are the only bed in a bedroom. The bedrooms (2) that have double beds the full size works out. Also housekeeping needs to keep the blinds/curtains closed & Hall door closed. It was 78 upon arrival & it took a long while to cool house down. If you know you have guest coming in the summer my suggestion would be to leave AC on 75 until the next guest comes on back to back trips. That way the house is not so hot. I would strongly get blinds in the bedrooms that only have curtains (2). I saw many spiders ? inside the house. I know its the season. It was a great space & layout & the 3 gaming tables were a huge bonus. This is a Great Lake House & would be valuable to anyone with a big family. I picked it a second time because I loved it so much the first time. The refrigerator doesnt seal properly & I let the rental company know. All of our needs were met. Sky Run Rentals is great to work with. I would give this Lake Property Rental 5 stars ??. We had a great time & not on top of each other. Easy house to stay in. Thank you again ???????????????

As advertised: awesome
Definitely going to keep this saved as a favorite. Had a nice time swimming, cooking and feeding deer out of my hand while sitting by the fire. The cove is a little bit of an ecosystem with snakes and turtles but with tubes that have netting at the bottom you’re fine. Wonderful town and amenities!

Beautiful View
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. We had everything we need to enjoy our long weekend. The view of the lake was mesmerizing and enchanting. The balcony was a perfect place to read a book or enjoy the view.

Beautiful view
Really a beautiful house. Had a great view of the lake. All rooms were spacious and the fire pit was awesome. We had deer sightings multiple occasions and they even come to the backyard. The lake is not too far and is a small walk away. There are multiple games available. My daughter had a cut and we were looking for a band aid and I was able to find a small bag of them. Thank you for carrying those.
We really enjoyed our time in this house.
The steps leading to backyard from the outside were a bit creaky and the straw rug in the living room probably needs a vacuum.
Other than that loved the view, space, birds chirping, lake and deer. Beautiful backyard and cannot forget to mention how much we all enjoyed both the swings.

Canyon lake review
Stove had old food stains, old model house , carpet in living area extremely dirty to the point of throwing away socks after wearing in the house, beautiful view from house, enjoyed outdoors, fire place not useable, front of the house looks like trailer park house. Should include a rule book instead of scrapes of rule through out the house. Enjoyed outdoor more than indoors.
