Very relaxing visit. We especially loved the pool.

This updated condo had everything we wanted. Located on a very well maintained resort with access to the beach and pools. Food drink service around the pool was great! Now for the condo itself, it was perfect for my family of 4. Loved that it had a safe. The pictures that are provided are a true representation of what you will get. As with any rental, before you buy groceries/toiletries etc. arrive first as there may already be some available there. The king size beds were so comfortable! I liked that the condo was the second to the last in the hall so we really didn't experience much people traffic which was nice. The temp in the condo never got uncomfortable and the ceiling fans helped with that. We did empty out the dehumidifier a couple of times to have some fresh air and it really helped. The bedrooms were roomy. There were pool toys/inflatables available in the storage box out in the balcony which my boys appreciated. The condo also has it's own WiFi and was pretty stable during our stay. I did have to reboot the box a couple of times when it wasn't working and it would start connecting again. I must add that communication between myself, the owners (John and Donna) and the onsite property manager (Michelle) was on-point and far exceeded our expectations. Always very responsive and accommodating with our schedule while there. Michelle always had a recommendation or solution for us. My family and I will definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay at Velas Vallarta. Lots of daily activities for everyone in the family. Friendly staff and safe location. There is no need to be a part of the all inclusive option as the marina is so close with lots of great restaurants and the condo has all that you need to make meals as well. Owners communicate quickly and give lots of information and they provide a local to assist you if anything arises while you are there.

We’ve stayed in Velas Vallarta since 2015 every summer and sometimes at Christmas time and we love it. 100% Family, clean and safe place! Thank you!!

Family of five had the greatest time at this condo. The unit was very comfortable and well stocked for all of our necessities. Velas is a beautiful Hotel and the staff are top notch.

The suite was spacious and the location was convenient for both pool and beach. The host was very knowledgeable about the area and the resort staff were friendly and helpful. My family had a very relaxing vacation. Thank you

We had a wonderful time! The unit was very comfortable. They balcony is extra large, there was a washing machine in the closet, a dehumidifier and well stocked kitchen. The comforts of home tucked inside a great resort. The host had an emergency and wasn't able to meet us at check in. There was a little delay, but the resort was able to help. Really not a problem, as we had access to the restaurants and pools while they held our bags. The owners and host were very apologetic and took care of us. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed a week in John and Donna’s suite. It was wonderful! There is everything available, the kitchen has everything you would ever need. The space for the 5 of us was wonderful. Michelle their property manager was friendly, helpful and punctual. Check in process was quick and easy! We love the Velas resort, grounds are beautiful, staff friendly and helpful!

The condo had everything we needed but the patio space was a highlight. Communication prior to our stay was great and we felt very well informed prior to arrival. We do suggest leaving the resort and enjoying the nearby restaurants, as they are a short walk from the condo and offer a large variety of excellent options. We really enjoyed our stay!

This property was wonderful. My husband and I were there with our daughter and son-in-law, plus their teenage daughter and young son, and John and Donna went out of their way to welcome us and accommodate our group. Plenty of space in the property for everyone, with the bonus of a fabulous large patio/balcony area. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed, comfortable beds, and air-conditioning throughout. John and Donna were outstanding hosts; I intend to recommend them to any friends travelling to PV.

This was my very first time using VRBO and I couldn't be happier with my experience. John and Donna's condo is absolutely beautiful and could not be more comfortable. I was staying there with my 3 children (ages 23, 20 and 16). We all absolutely loved it! We used the two bedrooms with the king beds so could comfortably have had two more people staying with us. The beds and pillows were really comfortable. It was wonderful to have two bathrooms (especially after time at the pool or beach or after an excursion). There was everything that you might need in the condo including a washing machine. There is also a beautiful balcony. We didn't even take full advantage of the kitchen and balcony as we ate out every night but it was wonderful to be able to have breakfast in the condo or on the balcony some mornings. The hosts, John and Donna, and property manager, Michelle, were all wonderful. Donna responded to my booking request incredibly promptly and John followed up with all the information that we needed for our stay. Michelle met us at the property and was very welcoming. I really cannot speak highly enough about our experience from start to finish. It really was such a pleasure to spend time with my children in a way that gave us all space rather than being in one hotel room together. The Velas resort is absolutely beautiful. We loved the time that we spent by the pool. All of the staff were so incredibly kind and helpful. Again, we didn't take full advantage of the resort and would definitely do more things in the resort next time. For example, you can do daily yoga on the beach at 8am and there are also tennis courts. It really was a perfect combination to stay in such a beautiful condo (which really felt like a home) while enjoying the facilities of a resort. It was my first vacation since 2018 and it was just what I needed! My family and I are so grateful to John, Donna, and Michelle for all their help and kindness. We loved the area - we had a car and drove mostly to the Marina or Zona Romantica for dinner. It really was a perfect place to stay in every single way.

Everything just as posted. AC was great, beds are comfy. Would stay again. Pools are amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay - the condo was exactly as promised! Clean, nicely decorated, and spacious for our family! The owners were very helpful and I loved the extra details they provided before our trip. They were very communicative from when we rented the condo through our vacation, which was very important to us since we've never visited the area before. It really helped us understand the areas of Puerto Vallarta. Michelle, the property manager was accommodating too! We had friends that rented a different unit in the complex, but their owners didn't have any communication with them as John and Donna did! Very nice touch! Thank you John and Donna for a relaxing week!

We had a great time! Kids loved feeding the koi fish. We enjoyed walking to the marina for restaurants and also utilized the Marriott restaurants nearby. The condo itself was well appointed and we really liked relaxing on the balcony. We will be back!

From check in to departure, everything was absolutely amazing! Everything you need is here, and plenty within walking distance. Luxurious gardens, pools and beach to admire and everything is safe and meticulously maintained. Felt totally at home in this spacious condo and owners have left their welcoming touches for guests to enjoy.

Everything was as advertised. John and Donna (the owners) and Michelle (the property manager) were all very responsive. Condo was a great size and had everything we needed/wanted. Definitely recommend it. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an incredible time at this property. The condo is exactly as pictured, very spacious, and with beautiful art. The kitchen is well appointed, and it's awesome having a big balcony to lounge on. The checkin process was very smooth, with a property manager meeting us to help us get settled in and to answer any questions. They even loaded the fridge with some welcome drinks for us -- what a way to start off your vacation! Velas the resort is amazing too. We put a premium on good service, and it was fantastic here. The pools, incredibly lush grounds, and beach are all top notch, and on par with the fancy resorts we've stayed at in Maui and elsewhere. I would highly recommend this place to everyone, except that I'm worried it will be booked solid if I do! ;-) Joking aside, thanks for a wonderful time, we will be back.

This property was exactly as advertised. John and Donna provided excellent pre-trip information. The property manager was very nice and informative as she took us to the condo the first day. The resort itself is excellent. Do not hesitate to rent this condo--you will not be disappointed.

We loved John & Donna’s three bedroom condo at the Velas Vallarta resort. Easy and prompt communications with John & Donna at initial booking and later follow-ups, and their property manager was very pleasant and responsive. We went to Puerto Vallarta on this trip with our daughter & son-in-law and their 19 month old toddler, so the three bedroom/two bath condo (with a large patio overlooking the lush and beautiful resort grounds off the living room and master bedroom) was perfect for us with all of the amenities we wanted, including for our granddaughter a pack-n-play that we used for a crib, a high chair, and a stroller, and we ate out on the patio a few times when we ordered room service. John & Donna had a lot of pool and beach toys for us to use, too. We had access to all of the resort facilities and amenities, too - restaurants, including the beachfront La Ribera restaurant, room service, towel service for the pools and beach, the spa for massages, the Covid tests needed to get back into the States, and so on. The staff at the Velas were extremely friendly, attentive, and accommodating, and the food was uniformly very good. The location of the Velas is great - just 5 - 10 minutes from the airport, a 15 - 20 minute cab ride to the malecon area and the old town area of Puerto Vallarta, and only a short walk to the Marina (don’t miss the artisans’ market there on Thursday evenings). We highly recommend John & Donna’s condo, and we fully expect to stay there again ourselves on future trips to Puerto Vallarta.

Amazing property grounds, very comfortable, good location, and perfect weather!

Velas Vallarta makes it so easy to come and go. The food is great. The property is clean. The employees are professional, kind, and helpful. There is a lot for adults and kids to participate in. Easy walk in / out of the marina for all that is happening there.

Overall we had a great experience communicating with Donna and John plus all the valuable information they shared. Check in process was smooth. Condo is as described in wonderful hotel near Marina. Would love to revisit some day. Thanks.

Our hosts could not have been better. They provided us with lots of information to make our stay very enjoyable. There were many very nice extra touches such as a bottle of wine, beer, water, coffee etc etc. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and well located within the resort. The resort is ideal for families with beautiful pools and gardens next to the ocean.
