The property was very nice, you are in the middle of nowhere, so if you were loud, it's not a problem. I loved that the pool house is separated from the house. We also had a visitor (a bear), I wish I could attach the video. We were sitting on the back porch and when we saw it. We took video inside the house through the window. The only minor thing was, the cabin could have a little cleaner. There were flies in the master bedroom in the tub. Also the driveway to get to the gate is like a roller coaster. I would rent again though.

We had a great week at this place with extended family. It’s secluded and you really don’t have to leave once you are there. Plenty of space for the family to gather and plenty of room to spread out. The pool and fire pit area were heavily used the whole week, and there is an awesome view of the mountains we couldn’t get enough of. We even had a few visits from a black bear. Two minor dings - they weren’t ready to check us in at 3 on the day of arrival. - they need to do a better job of cleaning the place between guests. Several places need some extra attention, nothing that was a mood killer, just clearly haven’t been cleaned in awhile.

This was over a 10k trip and not something we can do all the time. WE really expected a lot better and cleaner house for the money we spent. He arrived even later, so we lost a whole day due to waiting for him. This time it was a defective capacitor in the other unit. To make matters worse, there was no ceiling fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms nor in the master bedroom. The knobs to open the windows had been removed all over the house, so we couldn't get any outside air. This is a huge concern and a real hazard in case of a fire.
In one bedroom the fan worked, but the lights on the fan didn't. There was no pull chain to turn them on. In the master bedroom, the bed was very squeaky.
The temp in the hot tub couldn't be lowered below 103° without leaving the cover off which you are not supposed to do. * There were numerous bees swarming the area and bee hive living in the bush bed directly by the front entrance door. The exterminator never showed up as we were told from maintenance.
* The home is outdated.
* Kitchen cabinets are old and some broken off the tracks.
* Refrigerator outdated.
* Ceiling fans issues:
* Dead bugs in all of the fans throughout the house.
* Lighting is extremely dark especially in the kitchen because most of the lights in the ceiling fan only had 1 bulb instead of 2-3 bulbs.
* One of the upstairs bedrooms ceiling fan didn't work when the light switch was turned off. Mainly because there's no "cord" to pull the fan to work.

My family and I visited the Elk Springs Resort Mountain View Mansion on this past Monday, September 27-29, 2021. We paid a total of 4,040.00. Although the view itself was spectacular, I was overall displeased with this stay. The primary reason was because I went into the master bedroom to get some rest for the night and when I pulled the blanket back I saw two large separate spots of a dry white substance which resembles semen.....I immediately began to question..,.if the blanket is dirty and not cleaned properly what else had dirt lurking around it. Earlier my mom said it was dead bugs and leaves everywhere and began sweeping....then she washed her linen because she said it smelled dirty before I found spots on my blanket. The bulbs in the bathroom had extreme amounts of dirt on them, and we were emailed by the office that the projector screen was not working in the pool area. In addition to all this, we went outside Monday night to use the fire pit and it was full of ash and dirt all around the pit we did not use it because no one wanted to clean the mess out after all we did pay a maintenance and cleaning bill. We called and left a message at the front office around 5:30pm about all the items above including electrical outlets that did not work in the kitchen counter when we tried to plug in devices.
They called back at 6:38pm saying they received the message but sent no one to the property. The next morning I called the office and reiterated what I mentioned above and added the new problem which was the possible semen on my sheets. Not ONE time did the person I spoke with apologize for the inconvenience. She just said she would send a team out to the property to address the issue and report it to management.! The maintenance staff Mark? And the housecleaning staff Loli ? Showed up at separate times around 1:00pm Tuesday to fix the issues mentioned above.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I visited the Elk Springs Resort Mountain View Mansion on this past Monday, September 27-29, 2021. We paid a total of 4,040.00. Although the view itself was spectacular, I was overall displeased with this stay. The primary reason was because I went into the master bedroom to get some rest for the night and when I pulled the blanket back I saw two large separate spots of a dry white substance which resembles semen.....I immediately began to question..,.if the blanket is dirty and not cleaned properly what else had dirt lurking around it. Earlier my mom said it was dead bugs and leaves everywhere and began sweeping....then she washed her linen because she said it smelled dirty before I found spots on my blanket. The bulbs in the bathroom had extreme amounts of dirt on them, and we were emailed by the office that the projector screen was not working in the pool area. In addition to all this, we went outside Monday night to use the fire pit and it was full of ash and dirt all around the pit we did not use it because no one wanted to clean the mess out after all we did pay a maintenance and cleaning bill. We called and left a message at the front office around 5:30pm about all the items above including electrical outlets that did not work in the kitchen counter when we tried to plug in devices.They called back at 6:38pm saying they received the message but sent no one to the property. The next morning I called the office and reiterated what I mentioned above and added the new problem which was the possible semen on my sheets. Not ONE time did the person I spoke with apologize for the inconvenience. She just said she would send a team out to the property to address the issue and report it to management.! The maintenance staff Mark? And the housecleaning staff Loli ? Showed up at separate times around 1:00pm Tuesday to fix the issues mentioned above.
