The resort was less than two miles from Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is the primary attraction of the area and worth the visit to the area. All the people we met were very nice, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed walking the path along the falls through the national park much more than the helicopter ride. We walked the falls twice on two different days. We recommend Wild Horizons Lookout Cafe for lunch or dinner. Taxi transportation back to Batonka is included. The Pic n Pay is handy for incidentals and not far from the resort, safe ATM in the same shopping center. Chicken Hut was spicy and good.

Victoria Falls Airport. When you arrive an official will be holding everyone up inspecting COVID vaccine cards, but there is no sign indicating that, so everyone has to walk up to the official separately to find out they need to get their vaccination record out. To obtain the required Visa is $30/person cash, no credit card accepted. If you don't have the cash, the ATM is at the exit to the airport some distance away. Everyone waits while you go get cash, very embarrassing. You are required to fill out an entry form when you arrive, in a dark stairway, no pens provided, no forms provided until you are in the stairway. Upon leaving, no cameras, money, or any valuables allowed in checked bags. No warning before you get to the check in desk. We had to pull to the side and open all our luggage to remove camera equipment. A fellow passenger who resides in Livingstone told us that any valuables in your checked bags will be stolen by the baggage handlers. Helicopter ride was very expensive and not worth it.

Wonderful staff, very attentive especially the reception ladies Gladys and Stacey that helped us organize our activities and gave us suggestions. Clean, spacious rooms, beautiful garden and a walking distance to the center.

Other part of the team was not the best… when u ask them for advice for a cruise they tell you the more you pay the nicest it is… that gives you the idea… was easy to tell us what u want ? Nice boat or close to animals 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Batonka is a beautiful, tranquil guest house located just outside the centre of Victoria Falls with easy access to the Falls and airport. The staff are very welcoming, happy and informative, rooms are fantastic, spacious, clean and very comfortable, pool is lovely and grounds beautiful. I would happily recommend Batonka as a 1st class place to stay.

Outstanding hospitality & welcome from Jonathon, the general manager. Due to our timing, he facilitated an earlier than normal check-in and a later check out. We were very appreciative. All meals were excellent. Room & bathroom was very spacious & nicely appointed. Lounge and terrace were extremely comfortable, with a lovely outlook over the pool and garden. Rooms are all on ground level with private patio. Hotel has twice daily shuttle into town. Free wifi. A great hotel.

It is a slightly further distance from the main part of Vic Falls, but very manageable in a short taxi ride.

Nothing to dislike, don’t look for anywhere else to stay in Victoria Falls

All our meals here were excellent. Choices for everything at breakfast, and we chose the lychee juice for our breakfast juice; it was very refreshing. The staff at all meals (and actually everywhere at the lodge) were helpful, friendly, and kind.

I can't think of anythng that could have been better. We had laundry done here, and Thelma, the receptionist, even arranged our Covid tests for us-- right here on the veranda. Life is good when you're being pampered.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Adrian made all our excursion booking but always with a smile. We felt we were introduced to the best of the best with reasonable prices. I will stay at Batonka Guest Lodge and no other place.

All was perfect!!!

Pros: good location (walking ~30 min to Victoria), polite staff (very good room cleaning), books and atmosphere of a common room, safe and close territory, lots of greens inside, healthy breakfast.

Minuses: decorative pool, be ready for a black spiders in your apartment and strange (not bad) vegaterian dinners. About prices: something is expensive (example, souvenirs, stamps) something is not (cappuccino).

The breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent! We really enjoyed sitting in the beautiful patio, having the cooked breakfast, and seeing the smiley faces of the staff. Everything was great!

Cannot think of anything that can be better. Batonka is fantastic in all aspects!
