Greatly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful home.
it was very central, clean and the owner was very nice and communicative. We will recommend this home to all.

Overall outstanding place with a lot to offer!! The location embodies the best of the Southbay beach scene. 1 block to Burnout & strand, and 1 block to the shops/restaurants of Hollywood Riviera. Cozy cabin feel, the common courtyard is beautifully maintained, private and inviting.
The one minor downside we experienced was the bright ambient lighting in both bedrooms at night which is coming from outdoor lighting from a multi-story apartment building through angled windows near the ceiling. This is mentioned in other reviews, but we ignored it as being someone not liking natural ambient lighting. This not “natural lighting”, rather an unnatural diffused day-like light, all night long, and it definitely messes with the circadian sleep pattern. (aka waking up at 3 AM thinking it is now day time). The windows have no shades and can’t really be covered without a customized solution because they are not rectangular, rather they follow the roof pitch on the ceiling. So it will take a little effort for the owner to resolve, but hopefully they will consider addressing the issue. That said - we got used to the issue for the most part.
Everything else was perfect. We are Southbay locals getting ready to move out of state so we are very familiar with this area. For us, this really was an ideal location to bid adieu to the Sothern California beach culture we grew up with. Aside from the sleep light issue, which we felt was important to bring forward, we highly recommend

Perfect little hideaway in the the Riv. For anyone wanting a spot 1 block from the beach and one mile from the hill, it's perfect.

Overall, this property is in a great location to walk to nearby shops and the beach. However, if you plan to go around LA, Redondo Beach is not near a major freeway so it takes 40+ minutes to go anywhere else typically.
The property has an amazingly cared for courtyard with gorgeous plants. They provide abundant cleaning supplies and some small touches like fresh soap and lotion. However, it’s sold as a long term stay property and is NOT furnished like one. I specifically emailed in advance to ask if standard kitchen items like a blender would be present (prepared to bring our own if not) and was assured it was. There are no spices, kitchen basics, peelers, measuring spoons, etc. If you plan to use this kitchen to cook, you’ll need to bring your own supplies or buy them.
Generally, communication was poor. We would reach out and never get answers to questions like “What is the check out process?” At one point, energy was cut off from 10 PM to 8 AM with no prior notice and no acknowledgement when we reached out to ask.
If you come in summer months, be prepared that there is no AC. While many windows open, the fans still only do so much. If you are heat sensitive, I recommend an alternative place. If not, it’s a great setup for fresh air. The high windows do not have curtains or covers, which makes sleeping at night hard in this unit. The giant mirror closet doors bounce the light around. We found it very hard to sleep, particularly on the creaky beds. These could use an upgrade.
Included desk, seating and TV setup were all lovely. The washer/dryer was broken about once per month, for a week each. Lastly, the internet is okay for WFH individuals on video meetings. However, this unit seems to sit between two modems so you have to know the right password per room and can’t move devices around. That was incredibly frustrating. The owner/manager needs to identify the right password per room and tell the people staying or give the unit it’s own modem to cover the full unit.
Overall, I’d recommend this as a budget stay for people who want to enjoy Redondo Beach specifically and like to interact with neighbors. Not good for home chefs, LA sightseers, or optimal sleep setup folks. Enjoy!

The managers were easy to communicate with and the unit was fantastic! They weren't kidding about how amazing the location is
short walk to ocean and to ships/restaurants. As a single woman, I loved how secure the courtyard layout felt. The unit had everything I needed and more than I expected. I appreciated how well-supplied the unit was: tp, puffs, garbage bags, saran wrap, soaps, cleaning supplies and tools. Plenty of towels. My only suggestion would be to add some pint glasses to the kitchenware (I bought solo cups for my stay). And I personally would have enjoyed more pillows. But the bed and bedding was very comfortable. I would love to stay here again!!

This was the perfect place for us. It is a three minute walk to the beach and town is almost as close. The apt. was well supplied and had a lot of updates, like new furniture and fireplace! We love staying here. We have done it before and will continue to stay here in the future.

Close to the beach and Riveria Village. Best location in Redondo Beach. Loved the nice electric fireplace on cold December nights as it heated up the Living Room area quickly.
Also, lots of nice personal touches by the owner.
Would definitely stay again.

This place was perfect for us while we were going through a remodel of our home. Our family of four stayed here for three months during this time of transition. We all loved that it is so close to the beach, restaurants and shopping! We are a busy family with teenage kids. We appreciate the patients of the owner and tenants on the property!! The owner was very prompt to provide what we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable!!

Accommodations good overall. No cross breeze - had to have 5 fans running full time since I work at home. Floors needed to be deep cleaned. Upper windows in bedroom brought in too much light for sleeping. Positives- Great location to the beach -location primo - close to beach trolly so a car is not necessary.

Perfect place to rent near the beach!
This rental is perfect for us. The walk to the beach is under 4 minutes and the same goes for the restaurants and stores in Riviera Village. Jane is a great "landlord!" The unit even comes with basic supplies like paper towels, soap, toilette paper, and more.
4.7
Great location! The best stocked place we ever stayed!
Everyone could not have been kinder! We loved the location! The place was so well stocked. We did think the washer and dryer would be in unit and did not know we had to pay to use it.
The love seat needs replaced badly.
But we would return in a mimute!!

Great location and great place to stay!
Every time we walked through the gate it felt as if we were entering our "secret garden" because of the beautiful plantings along the walkways and the courtyard. The photos on the VRBO website are very accurate and we were provided with all the comforts of home. We loved the quietness of the area and how easy it was to get to the beach as well as the village where there are many different restaurants, coffee places, shops and even a Trader Joes! The Esplanade that parallels the ocean is a wonderful place to take daily walks and to watch the fabulous sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. The Redondo Beach Pier is within walking distance too. It was easy to reach the property manager, Alex, and he answered our questions in a very timely manner. This was our first experience with VRBO and we look forward to staying here again in the future!

Fabulous location with everything you need for an extended stay
We spent nearly a month here, and loved it. The location one street over from the beach means you can be on the sand in minutes, and we caught nearly every sunset. Great views of Palos Verdes Estates, and up the coast toward Hermosa Beach. The apartment is close to restaurants and shopping, including Trader Joe's and Vons. It's actually faster to walk than deal with the parking lot.
The kitchen in the apartment is stocked with everything you need. Dishes, flatware, glasses, all the cooking utensils, plenty of sizes of pots and pans, and even colanders and measuring spoons. Microwave, toaster, teapot, Keurig, oven mitts, trivets, and placemats. The kitchen is petite, but has a full-size gas stove with oven, and was by far the most well-outfitted of any rental we've visited.
Plenty of other supplies too. Bath towels, beach towels, TP, tissue, soap, cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc.
The bedrooms are adequate size with large closets, and the living room is roomy with a full-size sofa, loveseat, a couple ottomans, a small television, and a desk. The four-unit building has nice landscaping, a one-car garage (tight, but a regular sedan or mid-size SUV can squeeze in) plus parking space, and a laundry room.
The four of us were very comfortable here. You can't beat the location so close to the ocean, with access to The Strand for walking/running/biking. When the wind is right, sometimes you can even hear the ocean. Highly recommend.

Great location & pleasant facility
One block from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We walked our dog several times daily on the Esplanade and became part of the local culture during our two month stay this summer.
Also one block from Riviera Village with Trader Joe's, Starbucks and plenty of local and specialty bars, restaurants and small shops. Weekends were surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to both the beach and bars.
Two large bedrooms and a large great room. The kitchen is small but worked well for the two of us who ate in most of the time. Dealing with the manager to resolve any questions was easy.

Excellent place! So close to The Village and the beach.
Clean, comfortable, and off-street parking!

Can't beat the location!
from the minute you walk through the gate and into the adorable courtyard, you'll know you're going to enjoy your stay! The grounds of the little 4 unit complex are meticulously maintained with plants andx always everywhere. the 3 other units are occupied by very friendly, quiet people.
The unit itself is really well stocked with all your basic needs. Nice towels, sheets, furniture and kitchen wares. There's even a coin laundry room behind the building. The apartment has a nice Beachy feel to go with its fantastic beach location. We loved being able lay in bed at night and hear the waves crashing a block away!
Just a 1 minute walk in in one direction takes you to the Edplanade walking path where we enjoyed walking our dog everyday. If you don't have a dog with you, you can walk the bike path down by the water. Walk 2 minutes in the other direction and you have the Rivera Village shops and restaurants. We hardly had to drive anywhere.
I drive a small SUV and was always able to park in the little driveway. My husband has a large pickup truck and had to park on the street. He was able to find a spot every night but had to search and walk maybe a block or so sometimes. Only 1 night (night before Christmas Eve) did we have to squeeze my car into the little garage so he could park in the driveway for there no street spots to be found.
We really enjoyed are stay and found the property manger to be extremely helpful!
