Nuestro 'hacienda' es una casa de 4200 pies cuadrados ubicado sobre el norte de Tucson en una prestigiosa comunidad cerrada situada en las montañas de Santa Catalina. Hay 4 dormitorios y 3 baños. Tiene capacidad para 8 con facilidad, pero los adultos jóvenes puede utilizar los futones para permitir 10-12 para descansar cómodamente. Hay villas y casitas en la zona, por lo que en consonancia con el tema, somos la hacienda de la pandilla. La casa se presta fácilmente a sí mismo a relajarse con los amigos y la familia ...... cocinero, nadar, hacer ejercicio, ver la televisión o estar en línea. Todo esto se puede disfrutar además de apreciar vistas panorámicas de la ciudad y las montañas!

Entrenamiento en la bicicleta estática reclinada y recibir la visita de codorniz, jabalí, ciervo, y el lince difícil de alcanzar. O sacar una estera de yoga y estiramiento entre los lienzos de colores. O leer uno de los muchos libros prestados, mientras disfruta de una taza de café en el futón.
El dormitorio principal tiene vistas a la piscina y la ciudad y tiene otra chimenea para relajarse por las tardes en privado. Desde la cama de tamaño, usted puede ver la televisión también. We so enjoyed this home. The view was amazing. The location very private and beautiful. Pool and hot tub all you could want. The house is 1980s, so dated. However, the kitchen was first class, the beds were supportive, the furnishings were very comfortable. Plus unlike some rentals, there were ample towels, paper products, soaps, cleaning products. The hosts were charming and so helpful. We hope to visit again.

House was comfortable and well located. Outdoor space was wonderful. Pool and hot tub were great. Nicely equipped with toiletries, paper products, etc. Plenty of towels. Beds were comfy, nice linens.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.
Furnishings very dated. Outdoor furniture broken and uncomfortable. "Dormitory" room was weird. Surprisingly, kitchen lacked trays, platter, bowls, etc for serving 6 people. TV in great room was unusable, too far from seating, tucked into corner.

My family of 7 really enjoyed our stay at Michelle and Sam's home. Wonderful location with a lovely view!! We really enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub!! Best part of the home. Loved seeing wild life in the back yard. Hosts were very kind and responsive to our questions. Don't hesitate to book this home!

Wonderful!!
This was our second time staying at Sin Vacas and we absolutely love it! The location is perfect, and the setting, view and pool just can't be beat! The home is perfect for our large family and is perfect to host dinner for our extended family in the area. Michelle and Sam are wonderful hosts and responded promptly to all of our questions and needs. We can't wait to visit again!

Great Location and Nicely Appointed
Our family had such a wonderful time at this home. Michelle was so communicative throughout the process ahead of our stay and while we were onsite. The home had lots of great things on hand that added to the visit - from pool toys to spices and seasonings. The neighborhood is delightful (we enjoyed the nature walk at the bottom of their hill) and the views from the expansive deck are incredible day or night. It was truly a special trip for our family and having a great 'home base' for our visit was a treat. Thank you, Michelle and Sam!

A fantastic stay!
Michelle and Sam created an amazing experience for us. The house and view are wonderful, the pool and hot tube were relaxing (and frequently used), they gave us tons of recommendations for great places to eat and things to do, and their warmth and kindness were the icing on the cake.

Beautiful views
We stayed as a family of 7 (was supposed to be 8, but COVID and canceled air travel prevented another family member from being able to fly) over Christmas and New Year.
The host and hostess met us at the house to do the introductory tour, which was very comprehensive. The house was clean with the exception of one shower that had some leaves in it. Not a big deal, but something odd to have in a shower. There were some minor maintenance issues that we experienced while there, but nothing that took away from our overall enjoyment, just more annoyances than anything.
Michelle was very communicative throughout the process of booking, staying, and after our stay. She was super helpful to give us ideas of what to do and where to eat. We asked about getting groceries delivered as we would be coming in later, and she was happy to oblige and let the gate attendant know so there would be no issues. She also provided a bottle of wine for us to enjoy, which we did at the first meal together. Lastly, she reached out to us to let us know we could stay another night if needed due to any airline cancelations--this was greatly appreciated, but luckily we didn't have any more issues with flights.
The views are amazing at the home, and while it was chillier than what we were hoping, we still put on our hats and jackets and sat outside to get that fresh air! The outdoor space is great! The family also enjoyed the heated pool (we paid separately for this), and the hot tub, which was appreciated after a day of hiking!

Spacious Hacienda with Amazing View & Amazing Hosts
Our family had a wonderful stay. The House is spacious, well situated, and sparkling clean. The view is stunning. The pool is warm and the kitchen is well stocked. Our hosts, Michelle and Sam, were super nice, helpful, gracious, and very accessible. They made us feel welcome. Sam even helped us with assembling our bike rack! We will book again the next time we are back in Tucson. Thank you Michelle and Sam!

Impressive home in the Catalina Foothills
This was one of the best VRBOs we've rented. It is quite spacious...larger than I expected from the photos. Outstanding backyard facing south and overlooking Tucson. Beautiful large covered patio and sizable pool with user friendly jacuzzi that heats up quickly. Big master suite with three other spacious bedrooms. It's one of those places that makes you want to do morning activities so you can get back to the house and enjoy it in the afternoon. Michelle and Sam are probably the best hosts we've experienced. Super responsive. Sam set up three golf outings for us and lent us a nice set of Pings. Michelle was kind enough to suggest numerous other activities and food options. They were very available, but not intrusive. Great week for our family.

We chose this house for a week-long getaway with two (related) families of 4 each with two older teenage kids. The house is big and comfortable and the layout is great. Although there is only one true master, it worked fine for us. The house itself is very comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for - a large and well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living/game room, pool, hot-tub, and a large yard with a fantastic view of Tucson and the mountains beyond. It is in a nice gated community in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains and there is lots of wildlife around. We had javelinas in the driveway and even saw a bobcat just outside the community gates one afternoon! There are also some nice nature trails right in the community and it is great for walking with all the hills. The owner of the house, Michelle, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and her communication was great both before our trip and throughout the week. As a fellow photographer she was very helpful with suggestions on where to go for wildlife, and even stocked several bird feeders in the back yard so there were always beautiful birds to watch and photograph right from the back patio. She also had plenty of good suggestions for local restaurants and activities. Starting with a very thorough (and socially distanced) tour of the house when we arrived, Michelle really helped make the trip super comfortable and enjoyable for us. It's clear she is very diligent about maintaining the house and making sure you have everything you need during your stay. She also has a very thorough COVID cleaning process before and after your stay which we really appreciated.All in all we had a great time and everyone in our family would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well.

Amazing Home for Thanksgiving Gathering
Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sin Vacas. The house is huge and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us. Michelle even had the futons made up for the youngest in our group. Location is close to everything, hiking, restaurants, shopping, but we also had a great time hanging out inside and outside the house during the week. Sam and Michelle were the best hosts and had everything we needed at the house, and more! Highly recommend their place for a large family or large group.

Wonderful Family Vacation
Being originally from Tucson, we knew the area and wanted to rent a large, spacious house with a pool in our favorite part of Tucson. Our local family would be staying with us, so we needed to fit the needs of 2 families and the grandparents. Sin Vacas met and exceeded our expectations. The home was very clean, well appointed and comfortable for all of us. It is an older home with all of the charm of the Southwest, yet up to date on modern conveniences. The house & pool overlook the city, providing amazing views from almost every room. It is close to golf and great shopping. Michelle and Sam were very responsive to any questions. Our 4 girls loved the gallery Michelle set up especially for them to "bunk" together, while the teenager was able to escape to her own room. Thanks so much for a great stay, we will be back!

Beautiful home. Best view in Tucson!
Michelle was great from the start. Took time out of her day to walk us thru when we got there. She was always available if we needed anything. House had plenty of room, well supplied with all household items and extras in case you forgot anything.

Wonderful home in a fantastic setting with really attentive owners.
We spent a week after Christmas at the Sin Vacas hacienda. Despite the federal government shutdown closing national facilities and snow in Tucson, we had a wonderful time. The hacienda easily absorbed our 8 adults with great common spaces that were spacious and allowed us to comfortably share meals, games, reading or just chatting. The hot tub and pool were a must! Sunrises and sunsets can be enjoyed from the great room or back porch/patio. The nighttime vista of Tucson's sparkling lights is mesmerizing. And we can't say enough about how hospitable Michelle and Sam were--orienting us to the facility and providing great recreational and dining suggestions. Though we had no malfunctions we were confident that they were a text or phone call away. North Tucson is full of things to do, and the greater Tucson area has an incredible variety of sights, entertainment and dining. Don't miss the raptor free flight show at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.

Beautiful, comfortable home with amazing views!
We enjoyed every minute of our weeklong stay while visiting our son at U of A! We hosted a few college kids for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner making use of the full kitchen & expansive dining room. From the minute Sam & Michele greeted us with wine & cheese and gave us a full tour of where everything was and how everything worked- we felt at home. The owners clearly take pride in this beautiful home and are always available for questions, restaurant recommendations, etc. The views are amazing, we took our family Christmas card picture in the backyard! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Amazing views with tons of amenities
We really enjoyed our stay in the Tucson foothills. The owners were so gracious and attentive starting with a lovely wine and cheese plate spread upon arrival. The master suite is huge as is the family room - plenty of room for everyone to spread out. A special surprise was the beautiful photography of Arizona wildlife and flora thru out the house. Highly recommend this property to anyone!!!

A Reprieve From Winter!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely place! Beautiful views,beautiful weather, comfy beds and a wonderful pool and hot tub. Michelle greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour of her lovely home.The home is super clean and well stocked.You won’t want for anything.Michelle was very easy to deal with and was in contact with us throughout our stay,helping us with restaurants,things to do and see. Spectacular View and Spacious House
Everyone enjoyed our stay over Christmas week. We had three families and three generations ranging in age from 10 to 73. One family stayed in a separate wing of the house which gave them privacy. The master bedroom and bath is very large and has complete privacy as well. The pool and hot tub were in excellent condition and warm. The poolside porch is a wonderful place to enjoy the view and have meals. Michele and Sam welcomed us with cheese and an excellent bottle of wine. Everyone enjoyed playing games and cards on the felted card table in the living room. There are a variety of comfortable seating arrangements.

The owners take pride in their property... and it shows.
We are a group of golfers ranging in age from 55 to 70.
We have been coming to Tucson for close to 20 years.
This property is as good as any we have ever stayed.
Our priorities include :
Prime central location to various golf courses.
Hot tub and heated pool to enjoy after the round(s) of golf.
We have a chef who plays golf with us, so the kitchen and grill must be top notch.
The ability to sleep up to nine guys with each having their own bed.
spectacular views of the city, especially at night.
When your planning a trip you don't want the stress of wondering if the property really looks like the pictures, and fits the description on the website.
With this property you wont be disappointed.

Tucson Treat!!
My extended family (7 adults and 5 kids) just spent a wonderful week at this beautiful house. The pool, backyard, Jacuzzi, and porch overlook the entire city. After we watched the sun set, we sat back and observed the city lights come to life. The house had plenty of room for all of us and spread out families nicely. The owners were excellent at communicating and worked hard to meet our needs. It was a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful house
Our family of 7 had an amazing time here. There was plenty of room for everyone (we even had an extra room!). It was so relaxing and beautiful. The sunsets were amazing and we all enjoyed the pool and spa. It was nice to have the grill and well appointed kitchen so we could spend time together instead of going out all the time. The nearby restaurants and stores were great and we could not have asked for anything more. All of our expectations were exceeded and we look forward to staying again in the future!!

A Tucson Treasure
We just returned from two weeks at the Hacienda and we LOVED it. Sam and Michelle have clearly put a lot of thought into making their house into a true vacation destination -- it was evident in lots of little touches that added up to a terrific experience. For example, not only is the house super-clean, it doesn't have extraneous 'junk'. To often, rental properties are used as dumping grounds for extra stuff that doesn't fit into an owner's primary residence or that the owner doesn't want. Not so at this house -- everything has been deliberately chosen for guest enjoyment and with great taste. The photographic prints that serve as the décor really are 'gallery quality'.
The kitchen is extremely well stocked with good quality cookware and appliances and lots of matching place settings! The house is just as described (and as shown in the photos) and is very well maintained.
We are birders and loved birding while sitting on the back porch. Michelle was kind enough to put out a block of seed a few days in advance of our arrival to ensure lots of avian visitors. We easily saw 15 species while sitting in the backyard and more while 'birding the neighborhood'. The landscaping is lovely and also provides privacy so you really do feel 'away from it all', especially since the house is close to the top of the hill (with a fantastic view of the city of Tucson at night).
Although the house backs up on to a national forest, you're still only 10 minutes away from Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Safeway and AJs Fine Foods.
Sam and Michelle were terrific hosts, including setting out cheese and crackers for our arrival -- and as our flight was 3 hours late, that was much appreciated. All in all, a GREAT experience and we look forward to returning in 2017!
