The atmosphere of the resort is nice, clam and quiet. The bes and mattress are comfy. The aircon works well during a high peak summer season. Thai breakfast is pretty good. Staffs who are Buremese are friendly and kind.

The construction noise form 8.30-16.00 is quite insane. We did a week of workation which we worked in the morning. It was unpleasant to hear the drill every morning. The owner wanted to expand her resort, she apologised and explained why, but still as guest, we chose this place becuase we want some quietness. I basically was not impressed by the owner, she kind of managing/controlling everything, or think ahead for you. Maybe some people like it, but not us.

Horizon was exactly what I was hoping for - a peaceful spot, by the sea where we could relax, read and swim. The cabin was great, plenty of space, spotless, good shower, lovely balcony where we could sit for a sun downer. The staff and owners were amazing, really friendly and took great care of us! For example, we asked if they had a spare fan because we prefer not to sleep in air con for the whole night (the air con in the room was excellent though, especially after a hot day at the beach!). They didn’t have one but went to the mainland the next day to buy one for our room - we were blown away (pun partially intended!). The Thai food at the restaurant was genuinely excellent, though only available until 5 or 6pm. However, there was some great food nearby which was really authentic and very reasonably priced. The sea was beautiful, lovely and warm, clear and clean. I went snorkelling most days and there was some great sea life to spot including some nice coral not very far off the beach. The town is easily accessible, if you need to buy anything or if you want a change of scenery. All in all, this is an ideal place if you want to relax in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay on Koh Samed. It's at the south of the island so further from the busy part of the island, but easily accessible by motorcycle or the local trucks that can easily be hired through the staff. The staff make this place extra special. They're very warm and welcoming and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast which had enough western and Thai options. All of it was tasty and the eating area by the beach is very pleasant. The beach and swimming area in front of the resort is small but still very nice. Also, the two nearest beaches are easily accessible by foot. They both have restaurants and places to drink and relax. The bungalows are very comfortable and all have nice patios to relax on in the evenings. I can't recommend this place enough. It can't be beat for this price on the island.

There is some construction happening at the resort now and there was some noise, but it was very limited and didn't disturb us at all. I look forward to seeing it when the renovations are complete.
