All we needed

Great place overall. We weren't as close to the beach as we had thought, but the water is really low right now. Easy drive to get to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay. The rental was very clean and bright. This trailer home was small, but did the trick for our group of 6. The outdoor patio was great. The bedroom with the queen bed was the perfect size. The other two bedrooms with the full size beds were quite small, one with hardly any room to move in. The kitchen worked well, but the nonstick pots were quite scratched. It was slightly annoying to not have a dishwasher and have to handwash. The neighborhood was good for people-watching, with many celebrating the 4th of July. It's a mix of boat garages, homes, and trailer homes. It was safe. We enjoyed walking to the Marina Landing restaurant down the way. Of note, the lake does not come down this way again near this rental until 2025 (due to dam maintenance), so we drove to the nearby campground entrance, maybe 8 min down the road.

The cabin was well stocked with all the things that we needed for our stay. It was nice that everyone had their own rooms and the outdoor patio was great. Thanks for a nice getaway.

Perfect location for a lake getaway. 20 minutes from Big Mac Marina and has everything you need with a wonderful outdoor patio space too.

We loved our little get away and this home suited our needs! Lake McConaughy is VERY low and the closest boat ramp was at the damn about 20 minutes away! We’d stay here again.

We had a very nice stay. The property was very clean and our stay was comfortable. Communication with the owners was fast and the home was the perfect size for my husband and I plus our two small dogs.

The living room was a little tight as well as the rooms and hallway. The outlets didn't work in one room. The A/C worked great though and was needed along with the patio. Pretty good location at one end of the lake. No dishwasher or garbage disposal. Good for a single family vacation.

Overall just what we needed to enjoy pour fishing trip. Only complaint was limited hot water.

House was definitely smaller than we anticipated from the photos, but it was great for our weekend! We enjoyed the property!

We had a wonderful time at this small "cabin". It is a 3 bedroom single wide trailer, but the owners have done a great job of decorating it in light colors, which made it appear bigger than it otherwise would have. 2 of the 3 bedrooms have full-size beds, which are very small for two people, so keep that in mind. The covered patio area was perfect for evening meals and gathering with friends. There was plenty of room for 2 vehicles and 2 boats. The little community where this is located has an amazing bar/grill, which is also a marina, but this time of year the water was too low for them to have any boat traffic. We enjoyed watching both NU volleyball and football at the bar. The fees for VRBO are quite high, but since we had 2 couples we were able to split that cost. We will definitely be back!

Smaller than it looks via the online posting but a GREAT property: clean, great location, functional and an awesome patio. (fees are a bit outrageous)

Very cozy and comfy. Located within reach of the low water dock, which was important at this time of year. Loved all of the upgrades in the living space and proximity to the local restaurant. Being able to park our pontoon in front was awesome. We also enjoyed the space for entertaining guests outside. The grill was well kept with enough propane to make several meals. One of my pet peeves is a rental with a grill that is inoperable - we were all happy we could BBQ with well maintained quality equipment +1! The only gentle feedback we'd give is that the cookware and dishes, once inspected, had to be cleaned before use; assuming the previous folks paid the cleaning fee like we did, that shouldn't be required. That aside, the owners were very responsive to any questions or communications. Overall, great spot!

Meg and Greg have an amazing lake living property and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Including Greg towing my truck off the beach first evening when my 4wd wouldn’t engage. First time at Big Mac and planning on making a stay at Meg amd Greg’s an annual event!

We enjoyed our stay, it was convenient to beach and marina, perfect for the 8 of us, it was clean and a cute place. hosts were very good about communicating with us about check in and check out and responding to any questions. If we needed anything they were great about bringing to us which we appreciated. I gave a few suggestions and they were great to respond to our needs. There was plenty of parking. We wanted to stay near family and it was perfect for us. The air conditioner worked well, it doesn't have a dishwasher or washer/dryer but WIFI worked great! I actually worked from there in the mornings and had great connectivity. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely keep in mind for next summer and refer other family members to this home. The outside also had a nice table and chairs under a covered deck and a fun tiki bar. The host also rents kayaks if you need them. There is only one shower so that can be challenging with teens especially all the girls. I would suggest to add some type of mirror to each bedroom. Very nice experience

The property was located near the lake with a great beach area. The hot water on the property was lacking. The water did not get hot enough to wash dishes or to shower comfortably.

We have never vacationed at Lake Mac before and discovered it was a great meeting point for my family (Ainsworth) and my boyfriend's family (Denver). We came from Omaha. It was last minute and this was the only property available that would accommodate our group.Even with the rainy weather, which eventually cleared up, the large covered patio was perfect and we didn't feel cramped by having to stay in the house. Of course, the downfall is only one bathroom.....but take short showers and be respectful and it does work out. Greg and Megan were extremely responsive when we ran into a few small fixable issues. We definitely recommend as long as you are with companions that are easy going and not too high maintenance (which you shouldn't be when you're at the lake!).Quick walk to the lake or a quick drive to go into the state park!

This was a good place for the price. The location was great just around the corner from the beach and Marina Landing restaraunt. A few cons...one was that there's a small porch going into the front door and there is no railing. It's at least two and half feet high and our three year old forgot one night and walked right off the edge landing right on a concrete patio. Hes super lucky he didn't break anything. Also, the bedrooms are incredibly small really just big enough for a full size bed. However, they make up for the small living space with a great, very large patio with grill, dining furniture and a tiki bar. One more con, the water never got hotter than luke warm so everyone was racing each other to take a shower first lol. Over all we had a great stay and spent most of our time at the lake.

We typically camp on the Beach, but this year we had a new grandbaby so half of us stayed here and the other half camped. This is a great space with 3 bedrooms and glorious AC for a reprieve from the summer heat. The big patio gave us plenty of room to host our campers for dinner. The proximity to the beach allowed us to go back and forth with ease. Wifi, AC worked great. Unit was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Owners were responsive and a pleasure to work with. Great place, we will stay again.

We were very happy with our vrbo it meet our needs and was located in a great location! Definitely did not disappoint and will definitely book again when coming to the area!

We had a little trouble finding it at first but settled right in once we did. It was nice having a for-sale breakfast option just next door. We didn’t find the hammock, but otherwise the place it was just as expected. Great bathroom and AC works well. Thanks!
