it was very cosy and homely. Perfect for a friends or family group of two or three persons. It was clean and tidy.

The apartment is located in the historic city centre, with a walkable distance to the city's train station (saint-roche).

The apartment is much older than what you see in photos. There is no lift in the building. You should climb three floor while smelling the damp smell in the whirling stairs. I booked the apartment around two months ahead of my arrival, but on the day of arrival, with my limited internet connection, I got a message from the owner that you should provide a 500 € deposit. The idea of asking for the deposit on the day of your arrival is odd IMO. After check-in, I had to check every detail of the apartment and take photos as evidence of the status of the apartment, which are not the sort of tasks you want to do on your vacation. Beside this, after paying the deposit, they send you a list of dos and don'ts and you have to obey because you have already paid 500 € of deposit. For example, you have to take your own garbage out of the building, with no instructions on where to put it. You have to clean the fridge, the dishwasher, etc. Otherwise they will charge you with a penalty of minimum 129€. There is no AC inside the apartment. However, the apartment has got two old fans. So you have to keep the windows open which is impossible because of the loud noise from the bars in the neighbourhood. Finally, they only provided one tiny bottle of soap for each one of us for the whole four days. I decided to never trust the photos, nor the overall score of properties again in the booking.com. I will read people's reviews. I can't believe this apartment has got 7.2 so far. In my opinion, the maximum score it deserves is 6 out of 10. P.S. the apartment owner sent a message to us after check-out, and offered to write a cool review for them, and get a discount code for my next stay!

The place well located and clean, well equipped, the bed was good size and comfortable.

It was too hot, it was very noisy until late night. The instructions to find the key were not the correct ones, the staff did no effort at all to help us leave the bags earlier than the check-in time, even though the room was ready early.

the location was amazing right in the heart of the old town and so handy for all of the wonderful sights. the property is very cozy and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. lovely comfortable bedroom and the bathroom had everything we needed. the kitchen and breakfast bar was also great

the only thing I would mention is the lack of a dressing mirror. it wasn’t ideal to have to dry my hair in the bathroom when everyone else wanted to be in the shower etc so a mirror in the living room near to an electric socket would make it perfect

Good location.

The apartment looks much worse than in the pictures. The furniture is of poor quality and old. 3rd floor without a lift. Complicated check in procedure. Before you arrive, you will be bombarded by messages and even phone calls (!) “confirming’” your stay and ordering you to authorise a 500 euro deposit, an outrageous amount, considering what you are actually booking. The apartment comes with a list of do’s and dont’s, at the end of your stay you are even expected to take out your own garbage and clean after yourself (they even leave you some cleaning products as a "welcome gift")… This kind of stress is really not what people are looking for on their holidays, especially that a cleaning fee is already included in the price. In short, in spite of having prepaid the stay we left the apartment after one night and moved to a hotel (Hotel Royal) for a pleasant and stress free experience.

Very good location.

We asked for a recommendation of parking and were told to park at Gambetta, which is 650m away from the apartment in a city which is not flat, the streets go up and down. We could not enter it because of some construction and we had to search for an alternative on our own. Then we found out that there is an option much closer, called Foch Prefecture, 250m distant. It costs 21,50Euro per day. The recommendation provided was not helpful. To check in, you are asked to approve a 500Euro guarantee through a link. We tried several times and could not approve it. When we said we were having trouble, they sent the link over and over again. We arrived at the apartment and were locked outside trying to resolve it before we were let in. I was standing in the narrow street of the apartment, with poor internet connection, trying to resolve it, while my husband was running around trying to find a bank to withdraw the money. After some stress with the hosts they let us in the apartment, when we managed to resolve the approval, but it was a very stressing and annoying process. The apartment is in the 3rd very high floor reachable by stairs only. Communication in English was difficult. The bed sinks in the middle, so we spent the nights struggling not to slide against each other. Not comfortable. We were there on a Saturday and the noise/music from some club was extremely loud until very late in the night even with all windows closed. The apartment is well equipped, but we found no amenities which we are usually happy to find in this type of property. No soup for the washing machine, nor the dishwasher, nor the toiled sink. No coffee caps for the coffee machine. On the check out, they ask you to through away your garbage under the threat that they keep part of your deposit. There were no instructions. We walked the streets around and could not find a trash bin (also annoying to check out). We had to call the hosts and a lady finally offered to take care of it.

It is above a bar so you can hear chatting but we had ear plugs do it was no problem.
