The keys villa had everything we needed. The property itself is beautiful and very conveniently located to everything in islamorada. The on-site marina was nice and the islamorada sand bar is about a 15 min boat ride away. If you want a tropical setting (palm trees, lush tropical vegetation) then this is the property for you. We will be back!

Wife and I spent a week in Islamorada at Mitchell's Keys Villa. Very nice, clean and wonderful location. Recommended.

We had a delightful stay and everything was advertised. We had fun figuring out how to open the Murphy queen bed and it was comfortable for our girls. The big windows give the house a feeling of more space. Recommend the paddle board/kayak rental at Backcountry at the front end of the driveway. Sunsets are gorgeous!

We just returned from a week at Key Villa, and it was heaven on earth. We wouldn’t change a thing! Will definitely recommend to anyone we know headed to Islamorada. Spotless, updated, and the location and view are perfect! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us, and for the fresh fruit you brought us! Hope to return next year!

Very nice property, convenient to everything with wonderful sunsets. Host extremely knowledgeable about Keys and willing to share her own beautiful garden and clippings with guests. Would love to come back when an opening becomes available!

We so enjoyed our two week stay at this lovely one bedroom one bath freestanding home with delightful fenced in patio with a peakaboo view of the bay. This wonderful Ranch home is also surrounded by lots of mature landscaping lending to the privacy and the overall beauty of the area. Close to a lot of activities, restaurants and shopping. Lots of outdoor activities nearby that we enjoyed such as kayaking, biking, scuba diving, golfing and walking our dog. Property owner was very responsive and pleasant. We even got a wonderful tour of her nearby home’s extensive gardens along with cuttings from numerous lovely plants. Getting to know the other guests staying in the same area was pleasure as well, our dog ended up with a girlfriend doggie😊. By the end of our stay we felt like we were leaving our winter home getaway. We sure hope we can get a chance to stay there again next winter. Thanks Phyllis!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. There was plenty of room for our pets and our boat! I know Tanner (our Golden Retriever) loved the ocean view; we did too!

The property owners are great, super nice and available for anything you may need. Lots of privacy and such a cool spot with everything you need in walking distance.

Location of this property is fantastic and central to everything and very close to the water. Place is clean and perfect for a couple. Only thing that needs work is the shower which is scalding, then cold, then scalding. Mrs. Mitchell is a sweetheart and made us wonderful fish dip and gave us a tour of her beautiful garden. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

We had such a lovely stay! It was all that we needed! Phyllis was so lovely! She brought us over delicious smoked fish dip and also gave us a tour of her garden and gave us clippings to take home! Everyone who stayed around us was so friendly. The place was pet friendly which is big for us bringing our two dogs. The sunsets every night were to die for. It was perfect for our boat to be able to keep it in the water the entire stay and it was protected. Hope to be back soon! We came from Pennsylvania! Kristen and Andrew

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Mitchell’s lodge. The location is perfect and the other guest were very friendly. The best part was the owner Phyllis. She brought over some delicious salmon dip with crackers and invited us to her beautiful garden to explore. She even gave us a few cuttings of her plants in which I just planted in our garden at home. We will definitely be back! Tom & Genna Martin

A good location puts you in the heart of Islamorada on the bay side, but that’s about it for pros. Unit is small & uncomfortable , 2 people is max, Murphy bed doesn’t work, rattan furniture old & outdated, bed needs new mattress, W/D & dishwasher should only be run when you are out as they are cheap & loud. 2 crappy ‘14” flat screens, no “nice” additions like beach chairs, swim stuff (noodles, rafts), kayak,SUP- owner squeezes every dime out of this rental & is unresponsive, even ornery when you do talk to her. There are definitely better places to stay!

Amazing trip...just what the family needed! We had such a great time at this villa.. best part about it...it’s own marina! Nothing like being able to wake up and take your coffee and be able to walk out the door and be on my boat! My son loved that from the moment he woke up till he went to sleep he could just walk out the door and be able to fish! Great find and will be back next year! Great location too! Best spot on the island!

We had an amazing time! Bob couldn’t be a better host. He is so accommodating and just the nicest man. We saw so much wildlife off the docks...nurse sharks, dolphins, eels and a manatee. The sunsets were breathtaking! Thank you Bob for sharing your beautiful villa with us.

The marina was nice, calm, easy. The villa was very clean and updated.

It was a very relaxing week, the grounds are beautiful, Bob and Phyllis are great, letting you know about things you might be interested in, great fishing pier, wish I was still there, and can not wait to go back, do not hesitate to book Keys Villa, it will not disappoint 😎😎😎

We are so thankful to Bob for helping make our Keys visit perfect. The location of the villa in Islamorada is amazing, you can walk to numerous shops, bars and restaurants. We loved being able to moor our boat in the marina and enjoyed many peaceful afternoons relaxing and enjoying the bayside views and sunsets from the dock. The villa was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We can't wait to return.

I enjoyed everything about the stay in the Villa. It is a beautiful place and the view out of the living room at Florida bay is fantastic. The Mitchel’s are really great host. I would give this stay a 100+ on a scale of 1-10.

My family and I love to visit Islamorda for the summers. This vacation was by far the best yet. We were able to launch and dock our boat. That was a game changer for us to be able to turn the key and go. We caught Mahi off shore and caught a few lobsters in shore. Saw Hen and Chickens Reef with dolphins, starfish, sea turtles, hammer head sharks, sea horses, puffer fish, parrot fish, and lion fish. Visited all the attractions that the Keys have to offer. The most beautiful sunsets were right there at the bulkhead of this property. The 1 bedroom villa was clean and spacious and very comfortable. The landscaping was immaculate and the other visitors on the property were all so nice. We couldn't have asked for a better time. Thank you guys. We hope to see you again next year.

Our experience at Mitchell's Villa was so much better than expected. I traveled with my husband and teenage daughters. The house was "cozy" for a family of 4 full grown people but it was very comfortable. We loved every moment. We enjoyed coffee every morning in the private patio or on the pier. We fished and snorkeled from the pier on a daily bases and saw amazing wildlife including porpoise, manatee, rays, shark, lobster and many different species of reef fish. Every night, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. The location could not have been more convenient. There is a Dollar Tree, Publix, and CVS for the basics less than a mile North. There are so many restaurants and stores within walking distance or more less than a 5 minute drive away. In 35 minutes we were at K-Mart in Key Largo and 15-20 minutes to Win-Dixie in Tavenier (which I found to be cheaper than Publix and maybe better stocked.) There is a movie theater is also there for rainy days (which we have not experienced). I really can't say enough good about this experience. We were a little concerned about sharing the pier and marina with other families but meeting and enjoying people from all over turned out to be one of the best parts of the trip. That being said, we never felt like we had lack of privacy. Mr. Mitchell was a wonderful host. Again, highly recommend this Villa and already counting the days to next summer!

Loved this place, one of the nicest place we stayed. will be going back next year. Bob is a great host, .also the other people staying at the villas on the property, were great people with this made the stay one of the best vacation we had. The villa is very comfortable and had all the amenities of home. It is kept very clean and Mr. Mitchell is a welcoming host who is available to answer any questions regarding the area or to address any concerns. We recommend the Mitchell's villas and would love to return to this little "hammock" for another peaceful retreat.
