The Starfish Cottage es el lugar perfecto para relajarse en su próxima escapada. Ubicado en el barrio Pierpont de Ventura, que se encuentra al oeste de la autopista 101 entre San Buenaventura State Park y The Marina. Esta ubicación ideal ofrece lo mejor de Ventura.

I've been using VRBO for more than a decade, usually with good results. I grew up in V-Town and much of my family still lives there. Each time we come to visit, we will be (((hopefully))) staying at Starfish Cottage. This stay was EXCELLENT! 500 STARS!!! These folks were are the gold standard. Our host was thorough and attentive, keeping in touch from confirmation to check-out (respectfully, and as-needed.) The cottage was C-L-E-A-N, well appointed and so comfortable. It felt homie, but not like we were tripping through someone else's home. There were nice personal touches, but again, not overwhelmingly so. The yard was simple, well-manicured, secured for the pups and very private. There were no sad surprises here. Everything was as-advertised and then some. Our dogs were allowed, but this didn't feel, smell or look like a house with dogs in it. (We have been disappointed by houses like this before.) Bottom line: If you're looking for clean, comfortable, welcoming and unpretentious, with proximity to the beach and anywhere else you need to go, this is the spot!

Perfect cozy cottage with all the amenities necessary for a great beach getaway. Extra bathroom is a great luxury and the backyard space with plenty of chairs is a real bonus. On top of that a shed full of stuff to play with and you've got everything. Even though we had one of the fiercest rainstorms I've ever encountered, we stayed nice and dry inside with no flooding or pooling of water outside either. We will be back when we attempt our trip to the Channel Islands again.

We stayed for over a week and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The beds were so comfortable and the backyard with the fire pit was above our expectations. Can’t wait to come again.

We visited for the weekend from LA with our two dogs and had the most wonderful time. Check-in was a breeze and the place was exactly as advertised. Cozy accommodations, easy drive to downtown Ventura, and best of all: a short walk to the beach.
In addition, we accidentally left behind a sentimental item and our host really went above and beyond to ease our anxiety and get the item back to us. Will definitely be returning!

We celebrated Christmas with family that live in Ventura. This cottage was ideal for our needs. It is extremely charming with bright and beachy decorating, has a lovely backyard, and a kitchen well supplied with what you need to prepare meals. Just a very short walk to the beach where our dog loved running free!
Bunny was a wonderful host, greeting us on arrival and checking on us after a day of torrential rainfall to make sure everything was running smoothly. She immediately sent a repair man over to repair some lights that were damaged during the rain.
We would definitely stay here again on future trips to Ventura.

Starfish Cottage was a perfect choice for a fall getaway. The cottage is well-appointed and CLEAN, and the furniture is very comfortable for lounging! Everything you could possibly need was on hand, and the bath products (and soft water) were luxurious! Our dog loved having a backyard of her own, and the lush landscaping made a wonderful spot for reading. Communication with the host was easy, and she provided very thoughtful information about the house and the area. We'll definitely return to this cottage!!

We loved every minute of our Ventura stay! Location is close to the beach and the Pierpoint neighborhood. A short drive has you in downtown Ventura but everything you need is walking diatance.

The cottage is a short walk to the beach which wasn’t crowded at all. Walking distance to restaurants and quick drive to the marina. Loved the beautifully landscaped garden. Highly recommend, would love to return for another visit.

Our family had a wonderful time at this perfect getaway beach house. It was quaint and met our needs for a little family get together. The backyard was relaxing and nicely landscaped. The beach is such a short walk and all the beach chairs, toys, etc. provided came in so handy. We also loved the convenience of local restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. just down the road. We walked to the donut shop one morning with our grandson. Big smiles for sure. Bunnie was our host and took such good care of us. Thanks for the great time as lots of fun memories were made.

Bunnie’s house was absolutely perfect for our weekend stay in Ventura for the X Games. We were able to walk to the Ventura fairgrounds and back each day.
Beds are comfy. No AC, but it’s not needed— the beach breeze keeps the house cool with the windows open. The area is quiet by 10PM, so there are no noises keeping you awake. Bunnie is very attentive as well, and could always be reached.
I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness as our bed had some sand in it; it wasn’t bothersome once swept out, though.
Would definitely stay here again!

It was a perfect cottage for our family. Close to Ventura downtown, close to LA, close to Santa Barbara, and above all close to the beach. We had wonderful time there. The host was very helpful, and the cottage was cozy with beautiful backyard.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely 2 bedroom cottage. The home is super comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make great meals. The backyard is a peaceful oasis and a perfect place to BBQ and relax. Our pup also felt very much at home here! Bunnie is an excellent host and a great person. I forgot my special chiropractic pillow and Bunnie went out of the way it have it returned to me. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful beach house and will definitely be back!

This place was perfect for our family! Its a 2 bedroom with a place you can have a 3rd bed if you need it - really nice backyard for our dogs, walking distance to the beach every morning and night with a dog friendly beach - even some surf!! It was a really nice cozy fun spot to cook in with a nice center island and attached dining area - we had a blast! Highly recommended also because the host was amazing and responsive. I would choose to go back to Ventura just to stay at this spot!

This is the third time we have stayed at a cottage near this beach and the first time at this cottage. He is small two bedroom (with extra room off the kitchen) but it very comfortable and has a nice back yard and easy parking in front. The backyard has a gas fire pit, nice outdoor chairs, and a grill. This Pierpont location is close to the beach, a grocery store, Starbucks, and several restaurants and bars. Will will definitely return.

Especially nice back yard, and well provisioned house. Located on a quiet street near the beach mid-way between two City parks a short walk away. Walkable shopping and eats. Enjoy the ever present ocean breezes.

Can't ask for a better host. Anything we needed she was ready to help us with a simple text or phone call.

Great place to sit in backyard and read a book while enjoying the breeze.
Beds were very comfortable and the pull out bed was comfy as well (very surprised how comfy it was).
Parking is hard to come by but not for this house.
My favorite attribute was the breeze that comes through the house when all the windows are open!!!!!!

Our two girls loved the location. They could walk a few minutes and be at the beach or frozen yogurt. We also drove 35 minutes and went to the SB Zoo.

I just returned from a long weekend with an old friend. We had a so much fun. The location was great and Starfish Cottage was heaven. It's everything you would want in an escape. Clean, and everything is fresh and comfortable and well designed. One day after a swim in the ocean, we played all day in the backyard. Its a gorgeous , comfortable garden area. I'm coming back!!!!!!

House was very clean. Backyard is nice with grassy area. It has everything you need, especially for a couple with dog. There's plenty of nearby restaurants and groceries. Marina Park is close and nice place to take your dog. Please note that house/kitchen is very small and may be challenging if you plan on cooking a lot. We easily got nearby takeout.
