This is our 7th summer up here!!! We found it yrs ago looking for a dog friendly rental on a lake & boom up came this place we come at least twice every summer so obviously we love it!! Cottage is rustic but reminds me of my childhood cottage=) Its rt across from the beach which is perfect & the lake view is amazing!!Even our dog loves it here!! Both neighbors on either side are awesome!! & Peter is an amazing host he's been so generous to us!! Thank u Peter u know how much we love to come here=) See u next summer Lake Sawyer!!

I don’t usually write reviews but felt l should for this property. Day 1, no contact from the host on how to check in, had to reach out to him. He finally called me back over an hour and a half after check in time to let me know that the door was unlocked. Walk onto the deck and the trash bins are all full. Walk inside and an overwhelming smell of urine. Trash bag in the kitchen was full and pizza boxes next to trash. The trash in the bathroom was also full. Open up the shower and there were wet towels piled inside. Beds were all made. We figured all dirty linens since it appeared nobody had cleaned. Contact with the host and he called back and said that he messed up, he had us coming the next day and that the cleaner would be there in the morning and I should tell her about the smell. He also said that he would refund us a night. Ok, fair enough. Day 2 I text the host in the afternoon to let him know the cleaner never showed. He responds oh no she told me she was going this morning let me find out. Never heard back from him. Day 3 I text him again, still no cleaner. He says he left cleaner another voicemail, he hopes there’s nothing wrong with her. We were checking out the following day but left a day early. The host did issue a $300 refund.

We had a wonderful time staying at this Gilmanton cottage!! Property & lake area is great. The location of the cottage is easy to find and near all of the local attractions. We can’t wait to return!

This property was as described. The host was excellent at responding to my questions. Perfect view and access to lake. Well stocked with everything you need. The only downside is the shower is extremely small and dark.

It was amazing like always, we come here every year and have the time of our lives. Love the house ,yard for the dog and the lake. Can't wait until next month because we're coming back August.

Great three bedroom with lots of room and great lake view. Loved the location, very easy to get everyone and great neighborhood to walk around.

Property was way bigger than looked in the online pictures… Very clean with dishes, stove, grill and linens… Great view of the lake… Quiet area, and friendly neighbors….. I would highly recommend it as I get away

The cabin was cozy and warm! They had more than we expected and was easy to get to and find. The lake was completely frozen over and the kids loved the snow. Would stay again!

This place is super cute. Easy to find, right by the water. A quick drive to Gunstock, or 30 minutes to Concord. The house was super clean. The queen bed was extremely comfortable. Sunrise mornings at the frozen lake are spectacular. We even saw an Eagle at one point flying around the area. Make sure you get all of your groceries and such well before you get to the property. There really isn't much around for grocery stores within 20 minutes. But at the end of the street is a farm that sells fresh eggs and firewood. This whole place is perfect. Cant wait to stay again! Beaware, light sulfur smell from hot water tank so grab some jugs of water as well. Smell goes away when you run the water a bit.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable except for a tiny shower and strong sulfur (rotten egg smell) from all water fixtures. The bathroom faucet was missing the end part and water sprayed when used. It was very quiet (October) and nice area for walking. Accepted both dog and cats. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. The tv and internet worked fine and the kitchen and bathroom were stocked with essentials. The deck was nice overlooking the lake and beach across the street. A water filter and minor repairs would make this cottage perfect.

It’s quaint and perfect to get away and relax

Beautiful well Kept cabin. Very clean. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Perfect week at the lake, it was so quiet, hardly anyone on the water. Great for the kayaks and paddle boards.

I loved the area, very quiet and quick ride to the bigger lakes. Neighbors were great and very friendly. The one downfall is the cleaning company did not do a good job. There was a ton of dust under the beds and some trash from the past renters. I would definitely go back if I knew it would be cleaner.

We always have a wonderful time ,this is our 6th year renting this house and we love it. And we'll definitely be back next year.

Good location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is very close to the lake, in a quiet neighborhood and had all that we needed for our stay.

My only issue was the lawn wasn't mowed the grass was a foot long but on our last day at 5:00 p.m. a crew came and mowed the lawn, we have a small yorkie that likes to play outside, the other issue was the bathroom sink which sprayed all over the fronts of our clothing

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now . It is perfect my dogs love it friends and family enjoy coming up every year . The neighbors are amazing and friendly . The place is clean and tidy. And I will continue to come up every year.

No complaints at all about property, was a great view.

Easy renting easy to find beautiful home

We had a fantastic time in this gem on the Lake. Close to Gunstock, Funspot and everything we wanted to do. The enclosed wood burning fireplace kept us nice and warm!

Great location ,cute little cottage , very clean . The kitchen is small and is very basic so if you want to cook you’ll need to improvise a little .

My daughter and her family so enjoyed their stay at the cottage. Very clean, comfortable and cozy! We would definitely want them to stay there again for their next visit with Gammy and Pop!

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend and we're blown away with how nice the place was. Peter the host answered all our questions, and would recommend this place to everyone.
