Beautiful property with everything one needs to enjoy the beach and the lovely town of South Haven. So nice to be right on the beach and lovely hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at 36 lake shore! Location was everything- we have been coming to SoHa annually for several years and this place exceeded our expectations! We spend our days on North Beach where our kids enjoy playing. It was so nice being able to walk out front door and on to beach. House is spacious and has all of the amnenities needed. Plenty of towels, wash cloths, etc. Another high light —no need to pack/bring beach chairs, toys, umbrella— this place has it ALL! Will definitely be staying here again !! Thanks to the hosts !!

Perfectly located home that accommodated 6 adults and 4 children well. Great location on the beach with ample deck space for enjoying the great sunsets. I also loved it had all the beach chairs and beach items needed for the week. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely rent again

We had an amazing family trip thanks to the wonderful hosts and this amazing house. The set up was great for our family with 5 adults and 3 kids - would’ve been room for more! The windows were very picturesque and you can’t get any closer to the beach and playground. Well stocked with everything we could need. Great communication. We are hoping to return next year!

The house was beautiful, roomy, and very well equipped. The location was great for fireworks, beach visits,and watching sunsets. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. We asked questions before the reservation, between the reservation and our visit, and during our visit; they were consistently available and helpful. Robin explained everything at check in that we needed to enjoy our stay. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this wonderful house and its delightful owners.

We stayed at the house with our 3 kids. Great location. Easy to get to the beach and nice to have a playground right there. We used the outdoor spaces a lot. Short drive to downtown (or walk if you don’t have little kids with you). The sunset views were amazing every night!

Everything was excellent from communication with John & Robin to check-in to the vacation. This home is well taken care of. Plenty of towels and everything you need for the beach. I was worried about being so close to the beach with small children (ages 1-4) but they loved going to the playground and playing in the sand near the house or hanging on the decks. Perfect location. Already booking for next year.

Wonderful home at a wonderful place!

We celebrated our 50th anniversary with our daughters & spouses, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. This home was spacious enough for our group. We loved the 3 decks! The high deck chairs were everyone's favorite. Robin met us at check-in & walked us through the house, explained a few things, & answered questions. She responded promptly the one time I needed to reach out. Beautiful home. Great location. Thanks for making our celebration with the family perfect!

Right on the North Beach, this is a great place obviously very convenient to the lake. You get to see all of its personalities as the weather and the beach warning flags change throughout the day. It’s also a great place for people or boat watching from the three decks. The house has a two car garage, which is really nice since parking can otherwise be a challenge on North Beach as parking, especially overnight parking, is limited. FYI, the garage driveway is too small to park extra cars. The house is comfortably furnished and equipped, if you like to cook, as we do. There is also a nice gas grill on the 1st floor porch. The owners provide just about everything you might need for the beach experience: beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, blankets, toys, body boards, and even a fat wheeled wagon to haul all that stuff onto the beach. The place is quite roomy, easily accommodating my daughter, son-in-law and two young granddaughters on the third floor loft with its own bathroom. That left the three 2nd floor bedrooms for my other daughter and son, who shared a bathroom. Then there is the master with its own bathroom. And remember that this is a BEACH bouse. You will encounter some sand on the wood floors, and even add to it yourself, although there is a faucet and hose in the garage to spray off most of the sand, but there is simply no way around tracking sand into the house. So, you’ll need to sweep regularly while you are there. That’s not a knock on the owners. It’s a fact of life on the beach. Oh, and you’ll want to especially sweep out the garage from the sand tracked in by your car tires. The garage floor is nicely polished concrete, but with any sand on it, it becomes quite slippery, especially as you exit your vehicle. The owners have a nice garage broom right there. Downtown is only a 1.5 mile walk. Parking can be difficult there too. Finally, the place is also convenient to Bunde’s Bakery where you’ll find incredibly buttery, flaky breakfast pastries and coffee. The staff there is very friendly and efficient. And if you just need a few items and don’t want to venture all the way to one of the big grocery stores (Meijer’s), there is a small convenience store, North Side Memories Party Store near North Shore Dr and Dyckman, where you can pick up beer, wine, soft drinks, limited groceries and deli stuff. Surprisingly, I didn’t see a resort town markup on their liquor/beer/wine.

We absolutely loved staying here! We have been coming to South Haven for over 3 years now. This house has everything and more! Robin was such a dream as a host. She met us at check-in to show us the house. No need for towels or beach gear! All you need is your food! The location is literally the best. Right on the north beach, close to our favorite concession stand. We loved sitting out on the deck to people watch. The 2 tall chairs on the deck were our favorites. There were 7 in our group, which included 2 teens. The main floor has the 2 car garage, kitchen, dining, and a full bath. The 2nd floor has the main living area, master suite, 2 bedrooms, and a full bath. The views from the master are STUNNING. The master bath is an absolute dream. The shower alone was the size of a small walk in closet! The clawfoot tub was heaven too. Just be careful getting out because it's TALL. The 2 other rooms on the 2nd floor has queen beds and share a bathroom (not connected). The 2nd floor has a deck that is shared with the master and living area. The 3rd floor loft has a queen bed and a twin bed. It also has a full bath and it's own deck. We decided to rent a golf cart this year and it was the best decision ever, especially with the price of gas. We parked our 2 cars in the garage and pretty much left them there the entire trip. We either walked or used the golf cart. The cart fit perfectly in the little drive space to the garage. No need to pay for parking! This place is a MUST for your next trip to South Haven! A roomy, well stocked, home -as opposed to house- with lovely views of Lake Michigan 🌊 and the piers. 🚤 The 8 of us were able to be together and also enjoy alone time. 📚Easy walk to downtown. 🚶‍♀️Excellent communication with John and Robin. 📞 The weather did not cooperate with our wish to be sitting on the beach. ⛅️🌦

I grew up in the area and with our ever growing family (kids and grandkids) we decided to splurge and try this property right on Lakeshore. Great supplies at the house (towels, beach equipment, etc.) but for the additional costs vs. a block off the beach, we just weren't sure it was worth the price. With young children, the road 2 steps from the deck was concerning as well has the high traffic and loud cars cruising into the evening. The house is 2 levels and we would have preferred the gathering living room on the 2nd floor to have some additional space to fit us all to hang out. We also selected June vs. our normal July and I wouldn't recommend that. It is a very high rain month and can be chilly both in the air and definitely the Lake.

Spent a week with my wife and family including two grandchildren. There were eight of us at all and the house was perfect. The location is directly across from the beach and is easy walking distance to everything in Southhaven. The owners were very receptive and we had no problems at all.The online photographs of the property are very accurate and the views from the house and the balconies are fabulous. Of course the sunsets on Lake Michigan are second to none. Would highly recommend this house for a family and hope to stay there again.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at John's rental vacation home. He and his wife had the house supplied with everything we needed. (PLenty of beach towels). The house has an amazing view of the beach from every window and a nice walk thru the sand to the lake. The bedrooms are very nice and the 2nd floor family room is great for the kids. This home is amazing! You could not ask for a better location. The house is right on North Beach and has amazing views from every room! The house comes stocked with anything you would need - even beach towels and sand toys! Robin and John were so responsive and a pleasure to work with!!

Came here for a girls weekend getaway over Memorial Day Weekend. The house was exactly as described in the posting. Amazing views from every balcony in the house. Walkable to the downtown area. Beautiful home. Would definitely return!
