Large and accommodating for our family of 10. Beds were comfortable. View was beautiful.

This house is not suitable for winter stays as the stairs into house are very dangerous. Ice built up from all winter, solid ice and management has sign to use no ice melt! We actually had to sit down and slide step by step to get in. What a liability for management!

Beautiful location. One of the king beds was uncomfortably soft. Unable to sleep in it. No hair dryer. The cabin was clean. We had to buy more toilet paper and tissues.

We had a great time during our stay. There was some rainy weather and the house was very cozy with the fireplace on and the dining table was nice and big for family game time. Beautiful views of the lake and private setting. Close to town and the beautiful Ponderosa Park.

Had a wonderful 4-nite stay at the Hawk’s Nest Lodge with our extended family of 8. There was plenty of room for everyone. The added bonus of beautiful weather allowed us to enjoy time at the well maintained beach with our paddle boards and kayaks. Only request would be to stock more serving platters and wine glasses in the kitchen and new batteries for the TV remotes —none of them worked. Otherwise house was well maintained and clean. Thanks for letting us stay!

This was a beautiful and spacious lakeside house. It's probably best suited to big families or groups who want to spend a lot of time down on the beach and on the shared dock. The kitchen and bedrooms are very nice and the beds are great.

We have rented many cabins with a boat dock in McCall over the years and this is one of the best. Great accommodations for our family of 6 adults and 2 infants. The beach area is wonderful with two decks, lots of parking for boats.

Perfect location on the water with a small beach that is shared by the 3 cabins. Cabin was very clean and had everything you would need. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at Rick's property. It is lovely. We will return again in the future.

We spent the week between Christmas and New Year's at this beautiful property. The layout was perfect for our family and the views were stunning. I would certainly stay again.

Rick was beyond accomodating and very responsive even over the holidays. The house is as shown online. The entire house is surface level clean which is noticeable. After losing a puzzle piece and looking everywhere for it, we discovered a deeper clean (under couches, cushions, minor dusting of cobwebs, and animal fur, etc.) would make the property really shine! Overall we were so grateful for the property, how well the snow removal kept everyone safe, and dealing with Rick was a breeze. Thanks for having us, we hope to return over the summer to enjoy the sunshine and lake!

Property had a beautiful view of sunsets, lake and mountains. The private beach and docks worked out perfectly for our group. The owner was very friendly and provided us the use of pontoon boat. The home was plenty spacious for our group and we would rent again!

We enjoyed our time at this house and were impressed with Rick's communication when we had questions. The highlight was the easy access to a great dock and small beach.

The boat dock was fun everyday and we enjoyed the private beach area.

We loved the property! It was well maintained, clean and had plenty of space for my family of 4. It was nice having a boat slip just down the hill with a small beach (the water was high). Rick was very responsive and let us check in early so we could start enjoying our vacation.

We've stayed at many properties in McCall over the years. These properties owned by Rick are consistently clean, well-stocked, and very convenient for lake activities. You know you'll have what you need when you rent this house or one of his adjoining houses. Thanks for another great McCall experience.

The cabin is very spacious. It is clean and the owner Rick was very responsive with any questions or needs we had. He grew up here and knows the town very well! It is an interesting property with three cabins on it. This particular cabin is just behind the lake front cabin with easy access to the lake. Both decks have good views of the lake and surrounding forest. It is a short walk (100 yards or so) down to the lake. There is a small beach with sand for kids to play on, a shared deck area for the three cabins with lots of room. Enough for all three cabins to have 5 or 10 people each. There is a dock for your boats / personal watercraft. A private bathroom outside the lake front cabin that you can use is very convenient. We saw deer in the yard every morning and night. There are deer all over the town and in the surrounding woods. Definitely bears here too so be careful with your trash. A very important thing to mention here is the town of Mccall. The cabin is about 5 mins drive outside of town. This is a lake resort town. Lots of small shops selling local favorites and typical tourist stuff. The Pancake house the owner recommended was great with a cool rustic vibe. The town is walkable. There is a nice marina, a small boardwalk, a large grassy play area and public beach for kids to play; even a splash pad. There are lots of places to eat with a pretty good variety. The town has an Albertsons but groceries are expensive. Gas is expensive too. The good news is boat rentals are cheap compared to other areas like this. The weird part for me was being a fairly remote location with tons of wildlife all around, this really is not a remote wildlife / fishing vacation spot. It is more a party on the lake, wakeboard, waterski, watercraft spot. There are extensive trails to hike and mountain bike. One last thing, the drive in to Mccall from the north or the south is incredible!!! Some of the most remote and beautiful forest, mountain and river views I have ever seen and I have seen a lot. You could easily spend a day or two getting here making frequent stops along the river/s.

Property was nice, as described in the listing. Drive way was horrible. Like I stated earlier, we damage 2 vehicles.

This was the perfect house for our two families (four adults and four kids). We loved how there were two master bedrooms downstairs and there was lots of room for the kids. The kitchen had everything we needed and the upstairs was cozy and perfect for family dinners and game night action! The location was nicely secluded and not too far from town. Check in was easy and we would definitely recommend this property in the future.

Host was very accomating and pleasant! House overlooks the lake and its very private! House has everything you need. Very well decorated and lots of room. We had an awesome stay! Thanks Rick!

Had a great time in MCCall. Tons of snow this time of year. This property would be amazing in the summer too.

This property was perfect for our use. Everyone in our group (6) were very comfortable and pleased with the condition of the house. Only 2 things need to be looked at...Dishwasher is in only in fair shape, could use replacing. Ad says icemaker, but when we arrived there were 2 ice trays and 2 bags of ice. Rick was great! He took care of some special requests going over and above our expectations!

Rick's properties enjoy perfect views of Lake Payette, surrounded by evergreen and deciduous forests, and backed up, this time of year, by snow dusted mountain peaks. It is absolutely quiet at night. This time of year there were perhaps two or three boats on the water each day. There were more geese and ducks. The homes are spacious and well designed. Clean, well stocked and appointed. Only a few miles from the center of McCall, this is a great place for a sublime get-away.

This house and property was nearly perfect for our week with my son and his family. The layout of the house is a little different and took a little while to get used to but it worked great. Valley county in Idaho is hard to beat. This property, being on the east arm of Payette lake is away from the congestion and crowds and is very peaceful. It is also just a few minutes drive to the center of the action in McCall with it's restaurants and stores etc. We didn't expect the gravel and somewhat steep path to the dock / lake. It was a bit of a challenge for the 2 more senior folks in the group. The dock, pontoon boat, beach were all great for the group and especially young grandson. We rented the pontoon boat for one day and it worked perfectly. I thought the rental price was very reasonable. I own a Pontoon and keep it on a lake in Georgia so I know it isn't cheap to own and maintain. The manager couldn't have been more accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely consider this property again next year along with the other neighboring properties at this location. We thank you for a very memorable week on the lake.
