Wonderful stay. Pablo met us at the house and was very informative. Property was as advertised. We even managed to sleep outside one night! Beach was a short walk and the pool was refreshing. If you like adventure, we recommend surfing lessons with Nelson, Macho ATV tours, Miss sky canopy, the "booze cruise" and if your lucky enough to be there when the turtles arrive or go back out, ask for Fransisco to take you. Definitely recommend!

A fantastic home and just right for a family vacation with separate rooms and bathrooms and outside areas that allowed everyone to have plenty of space of their own and enough space to come together for dinner. Beach is easily walkable. Lots of places to eat close by including vegan and vegetarian options. And plenty of activities for the kids. Pablo, the concierge, helped me schedule everything, kept me up to date, and was very helpful. He was invaluable. I'd absolutely stay again.

We were lucky enough to stay here for 6 days. I was surprised by how spacious the property is and the set up is perfect. Very similar to having your own tiny hotel- without the staff. Exactly what our crew was looking for. We saw monkey parades making their way about town in the evenings and early mornings. The house is close to the beach and a few restaurants. We asked our driver to stop on the way to the property to get groceries and we cooked a couple of times as well. The kitchen has everything you could need. The bedrooms are well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The pool is amazing and we enjoyed the ping pong table as well. Highly recommend staying here and visiting Playa Guiones

This house was prefect for us. 4 rooms with separate entrances and all bathrooms. Tiki hut. With bar extra mini fridge, as well as ping-pong table and ring game. We walk to the beach and town. Their rental property company is amazing and its what set them apart. Pablo answered all my questions (and i had alot) and booked all of our excursions with the most amazing companies. It was so turn key. Ww will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Casa Cristal Del Mar! There were just 4 of us so the property was a bit oversized for our needs and could have easily been comfortable for 5 or 6 more. Loved the pool and outdoor showers. Beds were quite comfy and bedrooms were dark and cool for sleeping. Kitchen was well equipped. Lots of outdoor shady spots for relaxing. The location was perfect - 5 minute walk to the beach down a jungle path, or to a variety of delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. Golf cart and bikes were convenient and fun for getting around Playa Guiones. Property managers Pablo and Kathy were very helpful with various arrangements. We look forward to returning in the future. ( The option to throw in a load of laundry would have been nice, but we managed fine. )

Wonderful place, amazing location and great property.

We enjoyed our month at Cristal de Mar--the location can't be beat! We arrived after 7pm (thought we would be charged extra for that) but property manager told us how to let ourselves in rather than meeting us. We had a VERY difficult time finding the property in the dark! Pablo, our property manager, came by the next day to go through various details. He was incredible and very responsive throughout our stay, helping with everything from an evening turtle tour (amazing!) to wifi problems (which were often and quite frustrating--for three virtual workers--after being told how good the wifi was there). Housekeeping staff was very thorough and friendly--especially Lola, who came by most often. Gardening and pool attendants were very friendly and attentive, too. Problems that should be addressed: --Listing mentions security system, which we were told didn't work --Shower in Room #1 was either VERY hot or "off," nothing in-between --We were very disappointed in the wifi, which was spotty at best. Sometimes the problem seemed to be in the entire area but we found we couldn't rely on the wifi. --Dishwasher literally fell out of the cabinet whenever we opened it and never did clean the dishes well. --Would have been nice to have laundry facilities on property--especially as we were there for a month. All in all, we enjoyed our time at this property at Playa Guiones and enjoyed seeing/hearing monkeys, birds and other wildlife and loved the private pool.

Can not say enough about our week in Nosara. It was the end of rainy season so the roads were definitely muddy…thankful to have secured a golf cart! The house was perfect for our group of 3 kids under 12 and adults. We didn’t end up using the outdoor beds bc bugs were pretty bad. We had a cook come in for three meals that were fabulous! Also had a private chef for thanksgiving, he was great as well. Wish the coffee pot was bigger ;) But there is a great place to get coffee 200ft from the house also. Can not say enough great things about Pablo, the house concierge. He was super responsive and very helpful. Wish he was more time to check out more restaurants!!!

This is one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever experienced while traveling in Costa Rica and for my family who were having their first adventure. The house was immaculate and had everything you could ever need available to you. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was exactly what we needed. The pool was beautiful and beyond refreshing when needed. There were cushioned chairs set up around this area and under the shaded roof. The table outside was impressive and could easily fit large groups. There were a few hardworking ladies who came in during the middle of the week to clean and take care of the bedding and pool/beach towels. The beach was literally a two minute walk from this house and a quick drive through the neighborhood to restaurants and shops.

We had a great time! Very close to the beach and restaurants! Amazing surf! We will be back!

This is our second visit to Playa Guiones and we loved Casa Crista del Mar. We travelled with our 3 university age boys. It is a great place for a family with older kids or group of adults. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and separate entrance. The outdoor living space is fantastic and lots of options to join together or have your own space. The place is well maintained, pool is lovely, and kitchen is well equipped. The property manager was very responsive and helpful for any issues. The J area is great with close to beach, restaurants and surf shops. Highly recommend this spot!

Casa Cristal de Mar provided a beautiful and accommodating home base for our group of 10. It was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with supplies to create many wonderful meals. The walk to the beach was easy and used daily by most of us to enjoy beautiful Guiones. The Rancho area was amazing and was utilized by all of us daily for lounging, reading, conversing and many naps haha! The pool was the perfect spot to escape the afternoon heat for some. I received no complaints on the beds, we all had comfortable nights during our stay. Our teens were up in the loft for the first few nights and really enjoyed it until they needed a break from being so exposed and ended up on the bunk beds in our room. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful home with us! We made some priceless memories there and can’t wait to visit playa Guiones again.

Our group included two families of 4 each with teenage children. This property was absolutely perfect for our group. Proximity to beach and town was perfect. Property felt secure. Pool was amazing! AC in bedrooms was very welcome. Outdoor spaces very nice for outdoor eating and playing games, etc. Outdoor showers were wonderful after seeing at the beach. WiFi was very good. I can't think of a thing I'd change except having a longer reservation!!!!! Pura Vida!

For the past 12 years, our group of 7 friends have visited Playa Guiones. In all honesty, I thought I had booked the same house we had the previous year, just based on scrolling VRBO pictures. Turns out that one was booked and why it wasn't showing up in my feed. My friends said the was the best mistake I've ever made. We hope to return to Casa Cristal De Mar next year as this is our favorite house in the last 12 years. Accommodations were perfect, just as described. The positives are: location, private entry accommodations but at the same time promoting a group feel, nice pool and recreational areas, and responsive host. The only negative was internet strength (we have 4 executives in our group hosting zoom meetings and internet was weak....although this seems to be an overall problem in Section J for us in years past). I would recommend scheduling laundry access or service ahead of time, as we all packed light since last year at a different house there was someone there to clean and do laundry 2-3 times during the week. Overall, this is the best place we've stayed in 12 years that suits our needs. Thank you.

We stayed at Casa Crystal Del Mar for 8 lovely days this summer with our family of four plus 5 friends/extended family. The location could not be better - you can walk to the beach at the north or south end of Playa Guiones in 5 minutes and you can also walk anywhere in Playa Guiones within 5-10 minutes. We surfed everyday we were there, so ease of access to the beach was a priority for us. There are wonderful restaurants, a grocery store, yoga studios and tour companies all within a 5-10 minute walk. We had a car while there, but only used it a few times when going to places further than a ten minute walk. The house itself is extremely clean and comfortable. They provided plenty of toiletries and the kitchen is extremely well equipped for any type of cooking you want to do. We saw monkeys, variegated squirrels and plenty of birds right from the property, as well as a hummingbird that visited everyday. There are three outdoor showers - ideal for a group of surfers. The staff was very responsive to any questions we had. We would 100% stay at this property again! *Also FYI, we rented a van from Liberia to make the 2.5 hour drive down, but if we came again during the rainy season, we would not rent a car but would instead rent a higher sitting SUV or pay for airport transfer then rent ATVs or golf carts locally in Nosara. There were some locations just outside of Nosara/Guiones we wanted to visit but could not traverse some of the roads in our van due to flooding. It would have been no problem with an ATV or a higher sitting SUV.

Everything was amazing at Casa Cristal! Perfect for families and the property manager was very helpful!

We chose this property for a family beach vacation. Our grown kids and grandkids loved the surfing. The beach and waves were perfect for beginners to advanced surfing. The Nosara area is artsy and bohemian with some beautiful homes and boutique hotels tucked in the dry rainforest. None of the properties are on the beach. Casa Crystal de Mar is a short walk to the beach and several restaurants. We rented a golf cart and found that made getting around fun and easy. This home is rustic with lots of outdoor living. The kitchen could use a good cleaning and exterminating (lots of ants and bugs). The dishwasher was broken all week and the pipes under the sink burst on the last day. We had a wonderful cook, Demaris, who shopped and cooked a meal for us each day. We enjoyed local fish and Tica foods such as ceviche, guacamole, tropical fruits, coconut shrimp and more. The kitchen could use a refresh of sharper knives, cutting boards, etc. Felt a little like going to surf camp and we all enjoyed it!
