A quiet paradise in the center of Tamarindo, no noise, beautiful garden with monkeys, iguana, squirels, right across the street to the beach, surf board rental next door, supermarket, restaurant and shop next door, friendly staff

Amazing location! The beach is right in front. The shared kitchen is good, and the rooms are good value for money considering it's Tamarindo.
Roosters in the property! Why would you have roosters in the same property where you are running a hotel? The roosters start at 4 am in the morning. Even if you are not a light sleeper, there is no way you can make it through their wake up call!

The location is great, opposite the beach and beach restaurants and short walk to everywhere. Next door to the supermarket and a vegan cafe.
My room had air con which was pretty necessary when I was there but maybe if you have a room on the higher level that gets a bit more breeze you won't need it.
The woman who owns the hotel is really interesting, try to have a chat with her.
My room was looking a bit tired, obviously hard to maintain with the humidity.

Cheaper than nearby places, mango trees all over and right on the beach
Room feels very hot at night in the non-AC rooms... My phone charger and a couple accessories disappeared during room cleaning...

What this place lacked in amenities, Jose definitely made up for! He was super friendly & very kind. It's clear that he keeps a watchful eye on things. He helped me park, offered to help with my bag, and made recommendations for where to head for dinner on a budget. He was wonderful!
I think the description makes it clear that there is no pool, hot water, TV, coffee maker or microwave. There is just a fridge & a shared kitchen, but it is well-equipped & clean.
The gardens and places to sit are lovely. AC was an additional $6 and worked well % access to the beach is fantastic!

Excellent location. The room was spacious and clean. Private parking is available. There is a nice garden at the Hotel and everything is decorated with typical Costa Rican ornaments. Good value for money.
Unfortunately, the TV was not working and they forgot to give us the key to the safe.

Staff very helpful friendly
I tried to book a shuttle to the airport but they didn't respond on the phone or return my message left. Office manager sent email but also no response he got me the address but it was hopeless, no one in the office but I couldn't tell if it was the right address. So I eventually had to get a private shuttle for a lot more money. at the last minute before going to airport.

Room was simple and perfect for us for one night.
Easy enough to find but didn’t realize gate would be closed after we arrived from dinner later but guard was nice. AC worked very well.

It was clean. Good parking, centrally located.
Hard, hard , hard mattresses. No sheet changing and only 1 towel per person for the entire stay. No hand towels for the bathroom and only a sheet on the bed. Very noisy. Really bad attitude by staff and yes we do speak fluent Spanish.We would not return.

Marielos is a lovely woman and made us feel very welcomed.

when we booked the rooms the price was $50 a night online however when we arrived and paid it came to $86 per night with all of the added taxes etc. Unfortunately $86 per night is not reflective of the standard of the hotel. it is nice enough but not worth so much.
my mums bedsheets were also smelly when we first arrived , but they fixed that issue immediately!
also we arrived on a friday night, and there is a bar that blasted music until 3am, which only added insult to the up charged price for the weekend.
This bar apparently plays music loudly every Friday so I think there should be some sort of warning.

Very nice vibe, beautiful garden and a little seating area in front of the room. The room was clean. Just crossing the street you're already at the beach, so a very good spot. Best value that I found in Tamarindo, given it's an expensive area.
