The views from this house are unbeatable! Yes, the house is dated, but that’s the charm! If you want new and modern, look somewhere else. If you want a cozy home base to explore the redwoods, with a magnificent view of the ocean, stay here.

The views are beyond amazing. We visited to hike in the Redwoods, but could’ve just relaxed on the deck staring at the ocean. Loved it.

This should not even be being rented in the condition it’s in. The entire home smells horrible likely from mold, the bathrooms and windows are covered in black mold. The carpets are so disgusting and past usability they even cut a chunk of carpet from the dining area and threw a cheap entry mat over the missing section and continue to rent it like that. There’s carpet in the downstairs bathroom that must have hundreds of guests urine soaked into it. The electrical doesn’t all work, kitchen and mudroom are cluttered and filthy, furniture is all broken. The heaters are not adequate to keep home at 68 on cold days as required for rentals. They have a fireplace but do not provide any wood. Some of the structural exterior concrete is falling off the house. It’s slumlord status and is going to be reported to city and state officials for review of their license. This is completely unsafe and unhealthy in its current condition. They are also not ada compliant as they attempted to charge us for bringing a mobility service animal despite federal law and vrbo policy protecting ada service animals. Its a shame this is so mismanaged and neglected.

If you're looking for an amazing view while re-experiencing life in the 60's and 70's, this is the place for you! The home contains a sweet collection of retro appliances, furniture, and components living long forgotten in today's world. The home is well stocked, comfortable and welcoming. It is closely located to the Redwoods, restaurants and equipped with information of the local area. The view can absolutely not be beat. We would absolutely come back.

Description and photos of this property were spot on. The house was very clean and the perfect mix of funky and practical. Alex was prompt in answering any questions and check in and out were seamless. There was ample parking and the soothing sounds of the ocean were amazing and relaxing. Highly recommend as the perfect place to cap off a trip to Northern California.

Exceptional property with unobstructed views of ocean/coastline. We fully appreciate the dramatic nature of this property location with crashing waves, rock islands, bird life, and ocean sounds. Home is spacious, clean, and well appointed. Only regret for this family of four from Colville, WA is the booking of only 2 nights. So excited to return for a longer stay!

We had a great time and the house was perfect for us (2 adults, 3 year old). Unbeatable views, the deck is literally hanging over the ocean, and very accessible to local redwood parks. Despite any comments later in this review, we would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone. Kitchen was adequately appointed, although appliances were a bit dated, they were perfectly functional. In general, the whole house could use some work. Carpets are a bit stained and worn, furniture is very dated, saggy, and on it's last legs (however, go outside!). If the carpet and other flooring were updated and some new couches / chairs were brought in, this would be 5-stars no question.

This house was such a Funkadelic treat. It's a special place for those who appreciate the ingenuity of previous decades. The pictures did not paint the full picture of this home. It was BETTER than expected! My fiance and I wanted a peaceful place while we prepared for our wedding, and this home did not disappoint. My family now want to plan our next gathering at this location. Loved it so much!

Prettiest view at any VRBO we've ever stayed in along with great location in the town.

Absolutely amazing experience the 3 days we stayed there. You are literally right on the ocean. Close to Jedediah, and all the beaches to explore too. This is a super cool retro house. Would definitely recommend for families or couples.

The house is set on the cliff above the beach, and the views are unbelievable. The house is quirky in the best way, and there are fun features throughout the house. Falling asleep to the ocean sounds and waking to the misty mornings is a dream come true.

Walking in the door, it felt so homey, so cozy... just like grandma's house! Everything was provided for our convenience, including crashing waves and glorious sunsets!

This place is perfect for a family vacation

The ocean view from this house was fantastic! You were surrounded by the perfect view. The house accommodated our group well and was a good location for our day trips. The house had some rather unique characteristics that we found interesting and charming. We would definitely stay there again.

Pros: The views were amazing, beds clean and comfy and the house well stocked. Cons: The house was very outdated, furniture not comfortable and did not provide comfortable sitting so we could all be in the same room. Recliners were mismatched and hard to get in and out of, couch not really usable for anything but a momentary sit to put shoes on., and the dining chairs were very wobbly and wheels kept falling off. The comfort of our stay could have been so much better had there been descent furnishings to use.

I can’t put the view from this place into words. Simply stunning. The house itself is old and kinda funky, but it had the charm of my grandma’s mountain house so I absolutely loved it! Beds were comfy and sleeping arrangements were fine, I would only recommend replacing the futon downstairs with a real bed. (Futon uncomfortable). The surrounding town is great with a large Safeway and several restaurants near the property. This was a little out of the way for us but sooo worth it!

This property was perfect for a get away for my husbands 60th Birthday with a few friends and family. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook all meals for all four days. There was hardly a need to leave as the views are so spectacular. We did venture out to the local redwood trails, local casino and local beaches which were all very close to this spectacular VRBO!!

We had hoped a wonderful stay at the property - the property has vast , beautiful ocean views - however, it ended in a disaster. It was primarily due to safety concerns. Although the property advertises itself as "children allowed" / child safe there are some concerns regarding the rating. 1. Next to the house there are steps which go down to the ocean level. That area is definitely not child safe. Some of the steps and ropes are broken. There is a lot of "muck" most likely from some pipe leak near the bottom of the step. We (adults) suffered 2 major cuts when going down the steps. 2. Inside the living room, there were sharp objects for the fireplace which were not safely concealed or stowed. One of us stepped on it and suffered a major cut on the feet. I am going to send pictures to the owner so that the listing is updated as not child safe until these issues are addressed.

Loved, loved, loved our stay at this home! Was very comfortable and eclectic. Views were incredible, beds were comfy, and went to sleep to the gentle sound of the ocean. Will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful oceanfront location with 180 degree views from all rooms and balcony. Great privacy. Level doorfront parking. Fully stocked kitchen. Full size dining table in front of floor to ceiling windows. Large downstairs bedrooms. So relaxing to hear the ocean day and night. Perfect sunsets in November.

Excellent place

Most beautiful coastal views ever!! The house is very funky and could use some upgrades (blinds and carpet). There is one bedroom with a king bed on the main floor and the other two bedrooms are on the lower level ; which also have stunning views from all windows. The house is very clean and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed Sally's by the Sea coffeeshop. We would come back in a heartbeat!

It was wonderful! Beautiful views just by looking out the window or sitting on the deck. Everything you could need including cooking supplies, games, etc., and great sheets and towels. Close to so many beautiful areas, both coast and redwoods.

This property was perfect for our family to rest with incredible views and sounds of the ocean! Everything was just as listed. This location was fantastic for exploring the Redwoods and resting and walking the beach!

Big windows and deck with a wonderful view of the ocean. The house is versatile with a number of sleeping areas. The location works for beachcombers, hiking and watching the ocean or wildlife.
