Encantador edificio frente al lago construido en 1903 como un gimnasio para niños, convertido en 12 unidades de apartamentos separadas en la década de 1950. Originalmente era un gimnasio para una escuela de niños, ahora es un encantador complejo de apartamentos de 12 unidades, ubicado en un amplio lote frente al lago, en un vecindario residencial. Esto está en el 3er piso, una unidad de un dormitorio para 4 personas con 1 baño. Para llegar al 3er piso, es necesario tomar las escaleras, no hay ascensor. La unidad tiene una sala de estar con una pequeña cocina y comedor. El salón tiene un sofá que se convierte en 2 unidades individuales para dormir o una reina. Started our vacation here flying in to SeaTac. Convenient location, family neighborhood. Listing accurate, beautiful outdoor space on the lake with kayaks available. Outdoor grill was great to use. There was checkin issue and called on site person with quick response. Unfortunately, property had not been cleaned-we went for dinner and returned to a clean space.

What a fun experience! This was a quaint, comfy one bedroom with an excellent view. Parking was great, management was immediately responsive when we had questions/ needs, and our space was quiet and well stocked. What will keep us coming back is the park like, lake front yard. Thank you!

My son & I had a great time while visiting Lakewood! We were gone early most days, arriving back late at night. The space for the most part is great. Several things are within walking distance, including a grocery store, coffee, etc. The communication & check in/check out process was clear & concise. The eating area has a beautiful picture window facing the lake, so you can enjoy the view as you eat/drink coffee. The kitchen is nicely stocked-all the things you need to cook a basic meal, along with some seasonings. The living area provides adequate seating for up to 4-5 people (including a futon that turns into a bed), and a TV. The bedroom has adequate furniture, with a decent bed and a step-up/down bathroom. Basic necessities are provided including soap, shampoo & conditioner, plenty of towels, etc. The outdoor space is even better with access to the lake & water toys to use. The fire pit & seating area were a nice touch as well, even though we didn’t take advantage of them.
A few things that could use improvements…The unit could be more thoroughly cleaned. Hair in bathroom, carpet on the stairway is quite dirty-maybe replacing it/having it professionally cleaned would be nice. Some blinds need replacing in the unit-very difficult to open/close them, A better internet connection would be nice. Internet not user-friendly for most of the time we were there. It is an older building so it has VERY creaky floors and no elevator, which was stated. Overall, a good value!

We stayed here while visiting family in the area. Its close to shopping and other activities. Clean, cute, perfect for our needs. We did have a problem with ants, but when we communicated this they were taken care of same day.

We had a bit of a problem getting into our apartment, the key box didn't work. There was a key under the rug. The view of the property on the outside was AMAZING, and we spent the first day and evening outside. When we went inside, we found that there were no additional bedding for the sofa bed. I did contact the manager a few times, and she did bring us the needed blankets, pillows, ect. The kitchen was well equipped, I would suggest coffee filters, and a towel or two to dry the dishes with, along with a sponge or dishcloth. Our bathroom was very nice, and the hair dryer was appreciated. TV was easy to run, nice having the two chairs in living room, along with the sofa. Very comfortable bed & pillows. Parking was great too. Thank you.

The location of this property was excellent for our needs. It is central to Lakewood and easy access to University Place, North End, and Steilacoom (without having to get on I-5). Lakewood Mall and Steilacoom Park are close by. I wish we could have made use of the lake and firepit, but it was not the right weather that weekend. The room itself was exactly like the pictures. It was a nice sized space and really perfect for 2 people.

We enjoyed our stay. The view of the lake from our apartment was very nice, as were the grounds. The apartment was very clean, though needing some fixes (some of the windows need cleaning, some of the blinds need replacement, bathroom fan doesn't work). Access to kayaks, canoes and standup boards is great. Ceiling fans helped keep the apartment reasonably comfortable. The property manager was helpful and responsive.

I feel like the ad could show better, how the unit !2 that I stayed in is on the top level of a small house style motel-ish location that has a very narrow stairway, that doesn't allow you to hold luggage to your side as you go up and down them. The steps are also short. There should also be mention that there isn't any elevator.
Inside the unit there is a 10 inch tall step up into the bathroom as well.
I stayed because they carried my luggage upstairs for me but there was no help on check out. I had a really hard time navigating back down and nearly fell because of how narrow the staircase is.
All that said, I LOVED the space and WISHED that I was young and not struggling with a bad knee and dislocated wrist.
I highly recommend sitting in the kitchen and enjoying the picture window view of bluebirds, frolicking along with other birds inside the branches of the mature mossy tree branches.
I had to free some Ladybugs, which I found sweet and as if a blessing.
I wish I could have given a 5 star... but I stayed for 4 days and there was a Q-tip on the stars and other trash on the stairs... Perhaps a bit more care in the common area.

We stayed here for a business convention in town. The rate was exactly what we were looking for and I feel that we got more for the price. Very easy check in. I wish we had more time to walk around and enjoy the dock, fire pit, and the lake. We were at the Tacoma Dome all weekend and didn’t have time to enjoy the facilities. It was about a 20 minute drive to the Dome due to traffic so it was very manageable. Very comfortable stay and nice amenities. I hope to stay again when we have more time to enjoy the lake.

We were met by the property manager and she showed us around the property. Beautiful lake in the backyard!! Nice porch and patio to sit and enjoy it. Our accommodations were very nice. Clean and well kept. Had a small problem with the bathroom sink and it was fixed PROMPTLY. Quiet, nice neighborhood. Close to gas, groceries and shopping. Very safe.

Enjoyed our stay - a very clean, well stocked, and safe property. We never heard any of our neighbors and we were close enough to walk to the Safeway and Starbucks. There are plenty of restaurant options. I would recommend The Moonrise Cafe for a great breakfast and local coffee. Our online host was extremely responsive and courteous. Ron, the property manager, was friendly and helpful as well. The only drawbacks were the internet was unsteady, the shower drained slowly, some of the blinds need replacing, and the property as a whole is a bit worn. Overall, a nice stay and a beautiful view of the lake. The kayaks and canoes are available for your pleasure, but we didn’t have time to enjoy them as we only stayed a couple of days on route to Yellowstone before returning back to NJ.

Easy to find. Ron, caretaker/maintenance person was supper friendly and gave us a little tour with the basic information along with his phone number to contact him if we needed any other assistance. The apartment was exactly as pictured, easy to find and get to with great parking. We stayed for 7 nights and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for us near the races we were watching. Local shopping and restaurants made it easy. Never heard anyone else in the property and amazing views of the lake. Plenty of parking too.

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights and really liked it. The view from the kitchen window was beautiful. The "pull out" couch with the mattress topper was really comfy. We were close to lots of things but had a great lake view to enjoy! Everything was lovely

Great Location
We were here for a friends wedding near by. We were able to spend the majority of the day hanging out on the beautiful lake! We had tons of fun kayaking and jumping off of the dock

This was a PHENOMENAL find! We have already recommended our friends and family to check this out for a local stay. The neighbors and other tenants were super sweet. The neighborhood was incredibly quiet and had a wonderful outdoor space with plenty of activities for homebodies. Waterfront access, SUPs, kayaks, or just swimming, a 25 minute drive to downtown - We were stunned with the value of this property! 10/10 would stay again.

Perfect place to stay!
Host was very nice and was there to greet us when we got there. The pictures do not do this property justice. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We went fishing on our boat using the dock on the property and we caught two nice size trout. We would definitely stay there again. It was a very nice weekend!

We really liked this property. I gave it four stars just because the kitchen floor didn't feel very clean.
The 'directions' for the property said we could access the hall closet for more linens, but the door was locked and we didn't have a key for it. We weren't desperate, which is why I didn't contact the manager.
The backyard and view from our room were both GREAT!

Nice but HOTT
Everything was nice & as stated in posting, the cleanliness was a little lacking however, the shower drain catcher had the previous person's wad of hair left in it🤢, the bathroom vanity was not wiped out & hair & some kind of powder was remaining in drawer, the bathroom also had this horrible sewer/sulfur smell that filled the bathroom & into bedroom if door was left ajar, and the bathroom windows were unable to be opened which would've helped the smell escape. Also, the apt was EXTREMELY hot, to the point where it made it uncomfortable to sleep the 2nd night. A portable AC unit really should be added for the summer months, maybe a couple more fans would've helped too. Also the lake was just treated the week before for algae & whatnot, which apparently kills a lot of fish, because there were SEVERAL (like 20-30+) dead fish floating at shoreline, which for me, was unnerving at the least. The batteries in Roku remote were also dead, so we were unable to use that. Other than those few things, it was a nice quiet stay.

Wedding Trip
We visited WA to attend my son’s wedding and to make his fiancé’s wedding dress!! Our accommodations were excellent! We had plenty of room to set up two sewing machines, cutting table and ironing board!
The view of the lake was spectacular and next time we plan to take advantage of the kayaks!

Had a lovely view of the firepit and lake from our dining window. Enjoyed reading out by the firepit and kayaking on the lake in the morning. Peaceful and restful.

May 2021 visit with my Te girl!
As usual, my apartment was neat, welcoming and ready for living near my family members. Ron helpful. Roshon too. View perfect and quietness essential. Warmth was great this time for this Hawaii visitor. Last time I didn't realize windows were open. This time I checked. Thanks everyone. My visit with my girl was perfect!

Great location, very comfortable stay!
Great location within walking distance to big a shopping area where you can get anything you need. Wonderful view of the lake, and all amenities provided were useful and convenient. Spacious apartment, very clean, and the property manager, Ron, was very helpful. Only downside is that Uber/Lyft is not easily found in the area, especially in the evening and during the week. A little better during the day and towards the weekend, but still a long wait and not guaranteed. Be prepared to walk and carry groceries for half a mile.

Nice weekend
We enjoyed our stay here! The place was a great size for 2, and though it is on the older side, it is a quaint building. Kitchen was well equipped, bath towels were clean and fluffy, and queen sz bed was comfy. Nicely decorated. There was no cable t.v. service because they were upgrading systems. LOVED the use of kayaks and canoe. We canoed across the lake and picked tons of blackberries from the wild bushes. Only drawback is a small beach and seating area, so unless you want to be sociable with everyone sitting there already or swim with kids or people jumping in and out of the water constantly, there is no place to just enjoy a private swim or sit privately on the beach. That's not a bad thing, just an fyi. The price was great. We recommend this place! The manager made check-in super easy. Located within 2 miles of many stores and restaurants, and surrounded by beautiful homes in a safe neighborhood.

Fantastic
We will definitely be back here next time we come to the area. With everything going on with the covid19, this was a find. We shopped for food and all the amenities enabled us to relax there practically the whole time. With the family only a short drive away, it was a perfect location and near most shops. We enjoyed Ron and his generosity to our family, and great knowledge about the property. Thanks again Dekoven we will see you in the future!

Great spot
I loved my stay here. I enjoyed using the communal areas and getting to know other guests / tenants. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lake is beautiful and it was nice to be able to use the kayaks and canoe.
There were nice touches including coffee, pancake mix, and the softest sheets you’ve ever felt.

The place was nice. The tea kettle in the kitchen was dirty but that is my only complaint. The rest of the place was clean and comfortable. The lake is beautiful. The place was quiet and peaceful.
