We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of an 18 day tour of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Ashgrove Farm was the perfect ending for us. Our hosts, Lucy and John, were easy to communicate with, and we met them just as we left. Gracious hosts! Their place has easy access to all that the Camden area has to offer and yet the cabin is peaceful and secluded. We enjoyed the private beach, the deck overlooking the woods, it was all great!

The apartment is very convenient to everything in Camden and Belfast you might like to visit. We greatly enjoyed sitting and walking along the shore and had a beautiful hike in Camden. Lucy was lovely and easy to communicate with.

We had an amazing stay here. The accommodations and hosts were more than we could have hoped for. We will definitely be returning next year for another stay

With a combination of woods and ocean, it was the PERFECT getaway for a couple in their 60's. The ocean-view was PERFECT, as were the HOSTS! THE place to detox from the world surrounding us. The carrots and beets were the best we have ever tasted.

The mostly open living space combined with lots of natural light was wonderful. The set-up is quite efficient. We enjoyed having the deck and our own private beach. The owners are friendly and easy to chat with. They go the extra mile to make your visit personalized!

This quiet little apt was a great find. Peaceful, quiet, comfy hidden setting near the sea. It has everything you need for cooking, relaxing and close to Camden and ferries, bike paths, hiking and more. Thank you both for your sweet hospitality.

This rental was perfect!! Great size for two people enjoying their honeymoon. The setting of the location is so calming and peaceful. Awesome location between towns so travel was minimal. Definitely recommend and would stay again! Huge thanks for John and Lucy!

We loved staying in Lucy and John’s place. It was so serene, close enough to the water on a great little path and close enough to both Lincolnville Beach and Camden for easy access. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. They were available for what we might need and welcomed us warmly when we arrived. It was a great getaway!

The apartment is spacious and open with plenty of counter space and is equipped with everything we needed for our 3 week stay. The deck looks out into the woods and is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast. The path to the water is very well maintained. We were lucky enough to see a double rainbow from the beach and enjoyed views at sunrise and sunset. John and Lucy were great. Would love to return for another extended stay!

There is a wonderful deck right outside where we shared many meals, read, and did yoga. The kitchen was simple but had everything we needed to cook. If we needed anything, our John and Lucy were quick to provide it. Short walk to a wonderful coffee shop (Green Tree) and artisanal foods cafe / small shop (Dot's). We could easily walk into Lincolnville beach area and have a proper Maine seafood meal by the ocean, then walk home along the rocky beach. Short drives to great hikes (Camden Hills) and swimming spots (Fernald's Neck) in Camden. Thank you, John and Lucy! You were wonderful hosts! We cannot wait to return.

Rustic look outside but quaint on the inside. My only suggestion would be to install a full length mirror so the girls can prep. (Side of the book shelf)

Lucy and John were terrific host prior to arrival as well as terrific hosts when we finally got there late after a delay caused by Hurricane Dorian. They were understanding about our delay and were just what you would want as property owners. Look forward to coming back to this very thoughtfully outfitted lodging. They have thought of everything necessary to make your stay perfect.

We enjoyed the privacy and the woods setting. We also loved how close it was to Camden and Belfast, lots to see and do if you like seafood and antiques.

We absolutely loved our stay @ Ashgrove Farm. Everything was clean, organized and relaxing. The walk down the beach path into town is a wonderful way to get there. John and Lucy went above and beyond to make our stay special and we couldn't have asked for any better hosts. There are nearby hiking trails with wonderful views and Camden Harbor is not far away. Plenty to do in this relaxing atmosphere! We can't wait to come for another visit!

Loved the quite oasis in the woods with easy access to a private beach. Owners provided everything we needed to feel like we were at home. Close to many hiking trails - national park, state parks, nature conservancy. Loved visiting all the quaint villages that were nearby.

This is a beautiful upstairs apartment. It is a very well-stocked and up-to-date. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Although we did not use it, there's a path down to a beautiful shorline. The place is central to several cute Maine coastal villages.

Same as above, easy access to surrounding points of interest, owners friendly, great place to relax and soak up the beauties of nature.

Of late, I haven't taken many vacations, and since my gf is from Maine we decided to take a week to enjoy the scenery, hike, eat, and mostly relax. This above-garage house did just that. It was in a secluded part of Lincolnville down a gravel road from US-1 so you didn't hear any cars passing. It was clean, accommodating, and a short walk from the shore where we took some great photos. The location is in the middle between Belfast and Camden. We spent most of our time in Camden, but when we go back we will check out Belfast more. The hosts, Lucy and John, could not have been nicer. They were always available if we needed to ask any questions and gave us some great recommendations of places to visit and trails to hike. We are from a major city so going to a peaceful place like Lincolnville, ME was refreshing and our hosts did an excellent job of making us feel at home. Unfortunately our trip had to be cut short because of a family emergency, but Lucy and John were very understanding throughout the ordeal. We are thinking of making a trip to Maine a yearly thing now and will be looking to rent this place again when we come back. This place will always come highly recommended by us to anyone who wants a cozy place to get away for a week. We truly enjoyed our stay in Maine!

This was a beautiful place to spend our 25th anniversary. Lincolnville is a lovely town close to the coast and several other coastal towns with many places to visit. There were plenty of options if we wanted to go out and find or do something. The apartment itself was very clean, just the right size and had everything that we needed for a lovely weeks stay.

This trip was a much needed getaway for peace, quiet, and relaxation, and that is exactly what we found here. The area was beautiful and had plenty of restaurants, shops, and things to do in nearby coastal towns. Highlights of our trip included a day at Acadia NP and a sunset schooner tour out of Camden. However, we were content to lounge on the deck of the apartment with a drink and a book most of the time. The hosts were kind and attentive.

Tucked far away from the road, the carriage house was spacious and comfortable, with high ceilings and windows all around. It's cosy and quiet, but with modern conveniences like a smart TV with Netflix and a stereo receiver. It was also very well stocked with everything needed for cooking and eating, including a variety of spices. We actually ended up making most of our dinners at home. A rocky, very private shoreline is about 100 yards from the apartment, a really nice place to walk or just sit watching the sea. We also really enjoyed hanging out on the deck, drinking G&Ts, listening to music and conversing with our friendly neighborhood robin. The area is full of things to see and do including exploring the quaint towns of Camden, Belfast, Rockport and Rockland. There are also a number of ferries to nearby islands. We took one to Vinalhaven and totally recommend it. Acadia is about a 90 minute drive and is definitely worth a visit. Perhaps our most interesting excursion, though, was a private tour of the local Whaleback cidery--really good stuff. Our hosts, Lucy and John, were great. Lucy greeted us as we arrived and showed us around the property and the apartment. They made sure we were comfortable and even keep a chalkboard at the bottom of the stairs so you can communicate with them even when you don't see them--cute and clever. I can't imagine that you could find a nicer place (and people) at the cost. Highly recommended.

We loved this charming apartment. It has the feel of a treehouse. Comfortable and well equipped.
