I loved the nights no street lights and very quiet

Our summer stay was great! We spent most of our time outside on the deck, in the hot tub, or exploring the river. The sound of the river was incredibly relaxing. Other reviews have mentioned the hot water having a smell & the house not being super clean but we had a great time anyway. We would love to come back & stay again!

This house is tucked in near the main highway, but far enough away to hear no highway noise. It also has a 100 foot walk down to the river with a private sitting area right next to it with a hammock! Beautiful and relaxing!!

A quaint, clean, quiet, well appropriated cabin in the woods. The kitchen had everything you’d need and the smart TV and WiFi was surprisingly fast. We really enjoyed morning coffee on the deck and afternoons sitting down by the river. Our dogs had a blast. You can’t see or hear the neighbors making you feel like you’re alone in the woods. We’ve already booked our next visit.

We loved that the river ran right behind the house. It's too bad the water in the house smells so bad.

The location is lovely, a beautiful view of the river. The living room furniture was comfortable. There is a bad smell when you take a shower. I had to call Vacasa because the hot tub wasn't heating up. I was told to turn it off and wait 5 minutes and then turn it back on. This worked. I had to do this 3 different times because each time I wanted to use the hot tub it would not heat up without turning it off first. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Our family of 6 (kids age 16, 12, 9, 5) stayed here for 3 nights while exploring the Mt Hood area. The cabin is very rustic & cute, but not so much elegant. Some of the furniture & linens are showing signs of needing to be replaced & it would have been nice to have some plastic glasses/cups for the kids & out in the hot tub. Hot tub was a big hit & being able to relax in it while listening to the river was perfect. The location of the cabin was awesome with the river right in the backyard next to the fire pit & some yummy restaurants a few minutes away. One thing to note is there are a lot of stone steps down to the river/fire pit that can get a bit slippery & scary in the dark. Definitely need to use flashlights or lanterns to safely get down/up at night. Overall our family enjoyed our stay.

This place delivered, we appreciated the hot tub, the pet friendliness and the coziness. I will say that the hot tub does clearly need a seasonal clean at this point, there was sand and debris especially because it is under trees & the edge of the roof so even while we were sitting in it, enough blew in. Additionally, the house key & gate key boxes on the outside of the house seem to be mixed up. We had to put the provided house key code into the gate key box to get the house key. This was after the sun had set and it was getting very cold so it was a frustrating start to the visit but fairly smooth after. The hot water does smell sulfery/like rotten eggs which I know is common in vacation homes but it is VERY present so heed that warning if smells bother you. The fireplace also seems to need to be cleaned, we read a hand written tip in the welcome book to open the kitchen door or else the living room fills with smoke while using the fireplace and that was accurate.

If you want the coziest cabin this place is amazing. Partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved going from the hot tub to the water for cold plunges and then back to the hot tub! Get yourself some firewood and plan to get snuggly in mt cabin vibes!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this location. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. We spent many hours on the deck or in the hot tub.

This was a cozy and rustic cabin surrounded by beautiful scenery. It was a bit difficult to find at first but once we found it we ended up enjoyed our stay. We loved the short walk down to the river and how peaceful it was. One member of our party uses a walker and was able to move around the home easily however the bathroom with the walk-in shower is quite small, just a heads up for anyone that might need to use the walk in shower due to physical disabilities.

The setting outside was beautiful, but the inside was not very clean, dark and felt different than the photos represented. Lighting in the kitchen is really bad, floors were dirty, leaves and bugs on counters and beds.

The cabin was clean, esthetically pleasing, I could see and hear the river from the back deck. I didn't see or hear my neighbors. There are shops and restaurants close by. Timberline is just a 30 minute drive. This was a perfect getaway. Will definitely come back soon.

The cabin was clean and cozy. It felt tucked away and had all of the amenities listed.

Beautiful location, very rustic charm. The hammock by the river sooo relaxing, along with the firepit. Back deck was comfortable, sitting in the hot tub in the evening was nice, though I had to use some tricks as a hot tub owner to keep it running. The house has everything you need except a working can opener. Using a hammer and screw driver is not safe. The dishwasher needs to be replaced, it is barely functional. And the lights in the kitchen need to be replaced, hard to cook when it is so dark. And a warning about the bears would be good. Glad I didn't surprise the one that ate the garbage cans

This was a great stay overall, cabin was great with the hot tub in the back and the hammock right next to the river it was perfect. The Wi-Fi worked great as well and the beds were comfortable. The only complaint I have is the water smells quite nasty not sure where it’s coming from but the showers and sink smelled very funky when you turned the water on. Other than that amazing stay and would recommend! Go down the road where you turn into the cabin and you can see Mt Hood as well.

This is a great rustic cabin on the river. The location is amazing and perfect for the 4 of us. The cabin is definitely older. The weather was warm so it was great to have the doors open and hear the river. People complained about the smell of the water but I think that’s just the way it smells there on the river. We brought bottled water and water jugs. There were a couple bags of ice in the freezer for us which was nice. If you love being outdoors and hiking, this is the place for you!

Got home today from a 5-day stay. The fireplace is not in working condition. Fills the place with smoke. Lack of extra blankets. You have to stand in a certain place to use the remote for the TV. Very. small kitchen and when running hot water in the sink smells like sewer. We also had to clean up garbage every day because a black bear came to the cabin and tore up the cans. The garbage wasn't ours. Left by previous visitors. Made the best out of it and did have a good time but disappointed.

What a great place to watch bad movies and relax

Great little cabin right on the river. Everything you need. Nonstop rain the 2 days we stayed. Roof needs some work around the skylights as water drips into the house. Good thing there were extra waste baskets around to catch the water. Water pools up around front door during heavy rain as well, but drained once rain slowed. Other than that, good place to hunker down during a power outage. Hot tub works great and location is excellent.

My husband and I enjoyed our Thanksgiving weekend in this cute cottage with a vintage feel. The location on the ZigZag river is excellent as you can hear the river from the cabin and see it from the hot tub. Although the cabin is not far off the road and there are other cabins close by, it is situated on the property to provide some privacy. We both loved the wood burning fireplace and the feel of a vintage hunter’s cabin. The metal roof makes the rain sound incredible and we could see the snow gently falling through the skylights in the living area.
The cabin is close to trails and five minutes from restaurants and markets and the shuttle to Timberline Lodge and Ski Bowl.

We loved the privacy and location, full kitchen, river view and outdoor seating + fire pit, hot tub, upgraded bathrooms combined with the rustic fireplace and living area.

GREAT PROPERTY

Our family enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We were impressed by the amount of space and the huge table. We were blown away after walking out to the patio and seeing that view. Our son loved the swing. He was on it every day. It was a blessing to have that private space along the river, and loved hearing it from inside the house too. The use of the grill and washer/dryer was a plus. This cabin was a great find. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great place, loved the rustic cabin feel. Bummed out the hot tub was as out of order when we arrived. We were looking forward to it. Overall, had a great family vacation.

Nice but...
The property itself is excellent. The location on the river WOW!!, the cabin itself, and of course the hot tub on the deck! The gas range and the grill on the deck were definite pluses. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. It was "a bit rough around the edges" in that it showed the wear and tear of its age. But nothing that we did not expect or mind in this price range.
Speaking of age, the one factor the kept us from giving it 5 stars were the beds and chairs. Simply put - they were awful, THE worst we have ever encountered in vacation rentals. We could not get a good night's sleep nor find comfortable places to sit and relax - except for the deck chairs. Full disclosure: we are a retired couple in our late 50's and early 60's, so younger folks might not notice this, or care, as much as we did! ;-)
Finally we wish management/owners would leave laminated instruction pages for the sound system, TV, and hot tub. Last but not least, extra batteries for the remotes and flashlights. All of them were "dead."

A little rustic, but very adequate. Beautiful setting
Again, a little rustic, but adequate. Beautiful setting. Huge Cedar trees, roaring river ( in March). Hot tub, tree swings, path to river

Lovely cabin in the woods
We really enjoyed this cabin in the woods! It was inviting and clean, rustic yet had all the modern amenities we love like a hot tub with a river view, well stocked kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The bunk room was perfect for kids and we all enjoyed the large doors opening onto the deck and that view! The layout of the cabin is great too with a big table for gathering at and a nice main room. When we first arrived the hot tub wasn't heating, but we heard back immediately via text and were able to reset it by flipping the breaker. Very happy with this property and our stay.

Family snow day
This place was great. Unfortunately we were there during a warm week so not as much snow to play in but there was plenty to keep the kids entertained while at the cabin.

2-3 Star Accommodations, 5 Star Location
Pros:
-Grounds are amazing. It's a magical location amongst the trees and off of the river.
-Kitchen looks redone. The appliances worked great. Bad smell in fridge but i'm going to assume that's from the last guest.
-TV and internet were great.
-Hot tub worked great but please clean it next time. It had plastic trash floating in it.
-Nice dining room table.
Cons:
-No curtains in the Master Bedroom. Both allows light in and doesn't allow for privacy.
-Broken Furniture - The right side recliner on couch is broken. The loveseat looks burnt, The kitchen booth bench is sinking and torn. The queen bed is concave.
-Fireplace - The first night smoked out the living room so we wrote to Vacasa and they sent a maintenance man two days later. He took 3 minutes and said nothing looked off. We tried again that night and same smoke. The smoke was clearly not going up through the flue but instead circling back out of the fireplace. Through trial and error, we THINK the cause is the pressure differential when the heater is on. So, if you want to put on a fire, turn off the heater.
-Wood floors splinter. Can't walk around barefoot or in socks because you will get a splinter to the foot. Needed to wear slippers or shoes indoors.
-Towels - Some of the large bathroom towels seem new and plush. The hand towels are black stained.
-Sulfur smell from running water.
Truthfully, this place needs a lot of work. You can't compete with the amazing location but it felt like staying in a 2 star motel.

cozy, private, and relaxing
everything was great! I read some reviews talking about the cleanliness, but I didn't feel that was an issue for us. it seemed very clean, dishes were easy to find, and the hot tub worked perfectly. I will say they could use a new mattress in the main room though. my husband and I sort of rolled into each other towards the center. I am pregnant though, so I may have been a bit more uncomfortable than the typical person. also, there was the tiniest hole in the window in the bedroom! you could feel the breeze coming in through it. it wasn't big enough to make the room chilly. but still concerning had it been snowing or something. all in all, I'd definitely stay here again! it was cute and cozy, just what we were looking for.

Beautiful, quiet cabin on Mt. Hood
Wonderful stay. A little difficult to find, but the Vacasa signs were helpful.

Wonderful little cabin!
This was the perfect getaway location! Close to town but it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere! There seemed to be an issue with the hot tub as it wasn't getting as hot as we wanted but overall we were very happy with our stay and will definitely be back!
