Our stay was full of wonderful surprises. Toucans every morning just off the deck, SEVEN in a single tree while we sipped coffee. Parrots, jays and a host of other feathered friends regularly visited. Consuelo was gracious and so helpful when we arrived. She cooked us two delicious regional dinners and gave us a tortilla making “class” that had us all laughing and learning. The beds and bathrooms were comfortable and accommodating. We booked multiple adventures through BZ Adventures and they picked us up and returned us home on time with no hassle. We struggled a few nights with a small pack of sweet but barking dogs at night but Consuelo sorted that out for us. We would stay there again! Don’t miss the weekend market, ATM cave and Tikal, all within reach from this home. Kitchen had everything if you want to cook but between Consuelo and local restaurants we enjoyed amazing regional foods. Don’t hesitate to enjoy Consuelo’s authentic cooking! She is a gem and so is this house.

This home is gorgeous, peaceful and spacious. The grounds are immaculately cared for with lovely walking paths. The back deck and pool overlook the back yard. We saw toucans every morning in addition to squirrels, lizards and other cool birds. The kitchen has all the basics; salt, coffee, dishes. The driveway and roads leading to the property are awful. Ruts, holes, etc. but part of the adventure that is Belize. No kidding though, worst we encountered anywhere in Belize. I strongly recommend this property to anyone! We enjoyed our stay immensely.

This property was just amazing! The layout was perfect for our family…we like to spread out and there was plenty of room to do that. With the bedrooms on either end of the house, we all met in the middle for meals and to enjoy the incredible view from the back. We cook a lot, and the house had everything we needed. We just wished we were staying longer to enjoy more of the view, but we had so many things planned. Don’t miss the Iguana Conservancy and the VIP tour at the Raptor Center is a can’t-miss! AJAW Chocolate in town was super fun and educational. We love supporting the local community! Thank you, Katia, for being an incredible host!

We enjoyed our stay and saw Toucans in the mornings as well as parrots and Kiskadees. The house is well laid out and there was lots of space for our family to either come together or separate off and find interesting nooks and corners to sit, watch the vista or just nap. The view from the veranda is gorgeous. It’s an artistic and creative house with lots of effort going into making it aesthetically pleasing. There are amenities in easy reach and the local bakery on the main road was really fantastic. Consuelo was there to greet us and show us the ropes. A big thank you to Katia and Consuelo.

Consuela welcomed us in the doorway of the most picturesque modern home I have seen. The site pictures did not do the Casa Hill View justice. When you open the window wall to the hill side view, it is absolutely breathtaking. We arose early everyday just to get a glimpse of the sunrise and to hopefully catch a snapshot of the ever elusive Toucan. Thank you Katia for allowing us to share your beautiful home.

We had an amazing experience in San Ignacio. This home is a little away from downtown but that’s what makes it amazing. The views are amazing. Every morning we would watch the sun rise. She was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The pool was amazing after a long day of hiking ruins and exploring. You will want to stay here if visiting San Ignacio.

Drops were not helping, so the owner, Katia helped us find a local Doctor. Then, the manager not only showed us around (more on Consula and the property in a second) she drove to the doctor and helped us navigate the doctor, parking, location. When you drive up you will be wondering if you have been tricked (2-wheel drive works) and might be driving to a hut. You will find it, and turn into a different world. The home is so cool. The wind gives you natural A/C, Consula will make you the most amazing dinners and breakfast (oh my goodness the flour tortillas- I will dream of them) She isn’t on site. The pool is like a slice of heaven. The whole experience is the most relaxing 48 hours I’ve ever had. Go. Go. Now. I can’t even tell you how much you will unwind.

We enjoyed our stay at this rental. The views were great from the deck and we enjoyed the meal we had pre-arranged for our arrival. The only negatives were that the pool was really too cold to swim in and the morning our our check out, the housekeepers arrived at 8:30 am to clean. Check out was supposed to be at 11 am. We had plans to leave around 9:15 anyway so asked them to wait until we left so they just sat outside in the car, it made us feel quite rushed to leave. Not the best way to end our stay but otherwise a nice place.

Katia and Consuelo were both easy to reach and communicate with. Consuelo referred us to a great local guide, Oscar, who took us zip-lining, cavetubing, and to visit ATM, Mayan ruins and other sights along the way. The house is located on the top of a scenic hill with great views of the countryside. After our excursions during the day, being able to take a dip in the pool was very refreshing. If you want to enjoy a meal at the house, Consuelo is a good cook and her tamales are especially delicious. The wifi worked really well in the kitchen, living room and the bedroom next to the kitchen, but the signal was not strong enough on the other side of the house in the other bedrooms. I recommend renting an all wheel drive vehicle to be able to get up the dirt road to the house and also to drive on some of the dirt roads around the area.

The pool is large enough to have fun while cooling off. We worried that the home has no A/C. The view is glorious and ever-changing and just when you think it could not look more beautiful, the toucans will fly over the house and pose in the tree in front of you, the pool is perfect for a "chill" day and kept meticulously clean by the seemingly invisible caretakers, and the housekeeper comes twice a week to change linens and clean - and if you ask her in advance, she will cook you delicious Belizean peasant food that is perfect when you feel like a night in. The linens are good quality, towels are available in abundance, and the wi-fi works without failure.The property has excellent security features and is beautifully landscaped but most importantly, it is 5 minutes to town where an abundance of good restaurants of all types are available. From the usual seafood and steak houses to lebanese, indian, Belizean, and great brunch. Plus excellent street food.Most importantly of all, the property manager Katia will actively support your vacation success. She accommodated date changes, listened to my hobby list and suggested activities and places, and double-checked that we were comfortable and looked after. You could not ask for better hospitality.Stay here - you will enjoy it immensely!!

My husband and I wanted to take the kids to do something amazing for our 20th Anniversary. This was the perfect choice. We saw much beauty and had some great adventures. The house was perfect and those associated with the house were very warm, kind and helpful. Thanks very much, we will never forget our time spent in Santa Elena.

The home, grounds, and staff were fantastic enough to make this a great rental, but the view from the porch and pool is magnificent. The fog between the hills at sunrise, brisk breeze from the Caribbean in the afternoons, the abundance of flowering plants and stone paths. There are several fruiting trees and bird feeders kept full that attract all sorts of colorful birds. We saw two different types of toucans everyday. It was almost too difficult to go out adventuring because the home is so comfortable and the landscape so beautiful. It is also very conveniently located to the amenities of town and all of Cayo districts sightseeing.
