Susan was so friendly and accommodating. We had family from out of state visiting the area for the first time and we all just fell in love with this adorable guest cottage. The fire pit on Lake Huron was ours to use at anytime and the setting could not be more beautiful. We loved watching the freighters pass under the Mackinac Bridge. We also loved the beauty of the property itself. It is wooded and gorgeous landscaping surrounds the cottage. You can tell the hosts work hard to keep the property beautiful. The accommodations in the cottage are perfect. The kitchen is well-stocked with you could need. The beds are comfortable and t everything is quaintly decorated. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to come back again!

Had a great stay at Susan's cabin. The cabin is nicely decorated and very comfortable. We spent a little too much time in the cabin due to inclement weather but we felt right at home. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a beautiful place in St. Ignace.

This place is a gem. Everything about the guest house and it’s surrounds is ideal for rest and rejuvenation. The gardens around the property are stunning. The cedar glen is so peaceful. The shoreline is beautiful. We hope to come back.

The owner thought of EVERYTHING! This property was Beautiful- great home, landscaping and views - all were AMAZING! The house had anything you needed to have a good time - games , grill, and lake front seating with fire pit. The home was stocked with a lot of extras - which were very appreciated!! Highly recommend her guest house!!

Great house with all you need for your visit. Grocery store is close by for food and refreshments. Clean and comfortable. Susan is a great host.

Almost everything about this rental is perfect. -Location is a few minutes away from restaurants, supermarket, ferry, Castle Rock and a short walk down to the beach. -Cleanliness is top notch. The kitchen, bathrooms, floors were all immaculate. -Linens, towels, all kinds of kitchen appliances, handsoap, sanitizer, toilet paper, paper towel, firewood, etc were all provided, plus they had a bonfire going on our first night and included stuff to make s'mores. -I texted the host the day before arrival to get the entry code to the door and did not get a response. Luckily, I was able to contact VRBO to help reset my app so I could see the message with the code. She did respond to the text I sent saying we were checking out. The only thing that we all agreed could be improved was the beds. They were very hard and not comfortable. If you don't mind a firmer mattress, then you will be fine. I debated still giving five stars because everything else was great, but with all the day trips we did we were really only at the rental to sleep and it wasn't good.

This home was beautiful, and had an amazing view. The owner was great, and had everything we needed available. I honestly don't think there's a better location in the area. There's a great grocery store right up the road, and we loved BC's Pizza in town. The Ferry to Mackinac is just a few minute away, and there's numerous places to bike in the area. I highly recommend this place!

The property was exactly as listed but even better. The views were beautiful, the location was beautiful, and the house was absolutely perfect It exceeded my cleanliness expectations which are rather high. My only regret was not being able to enjoy it more as the Upper Peninsula has so many beautiful sites to see If I have the opportunity to go back I'd rent this location over and over again.

Stayed here with my wife and two kids (6 & 4). Great location, just past the bridge. Beautiful views, close to downtown St. Ignas and a very spacious house. Plenty of room for us 4 and could easily have fit 2 more. Thanks!

This place was amazing. We took advantage of the bonfire pit, the grill and the amazing beach area. There were six of us, my partner and two other couples. Everyone had an amazing time and loved the house and what it had to offer. We even chatted with the owner for a bit when we arrived and she was super nice. We may be back on 2025 for the next Mini on the Mack parade!

This property /house provides the perfect 'up north' getaway. We stayed here 3 yrs ago for a week, and then just two nights recently, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities you could want. My favorite is sitting out on the balcony off of the bedroom drinking coffee and listening to the sounds of nature and the waters of Lake Huron. I hope we can come back again in the future.

We have stayed at this house several times and it never disappoints! Always clean, quiet and wonderful. Susan is a great Host and we always enjoy our time at her cabin.

Lovely property well taken care of felt like home. Loved the location and access to ferry to mackinaw island and day drive to local UP must see spots and to Petoskey as well. Beautiful area highly recommend for families that are not interested in camping and want the amenities of a house and property for kids. Would rent again

This is our 2nd stay at this home and will come back again. Everything you need is included and the house is very clean. You can tell the owner puts much work into making it a great rental. The view of the bridge can’t get any better. S’mores and drinks by the fire overlooking the bridge and fireworks across the water in Mackinaw City makes a perfect evening! Highly recommend!!

Five stars isn't enough! This really is a beautiful vacation home. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and great for relaxing, but close enough to town for easy access to everything. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

This cozy guest house has everything you need to enjoy Northern MI. We loved it! The view of the Bridge, close to the water, fire pit, comfortable beds and close to the Sheplers’ ferry. We will definitely be back. Our host, Susan, was great :)

The house is gorgeous and the host is very gracious and easy to communicate with. This was our second time staying at this house and it’s still a 10 out of 10 for us!

This cottage has it all! It is in a great location close to Hwy 2 and I-75 for easy access to all the spectacular sites in the eastern Upper Peninsula. Also close to downtown St Ignace for all the city has to offer. The cottage is absolutely immaculate inside with beautiful gardens outside and a very short walk on the property to view the Mackinaw bridge and freighters going through the straits, although the freighters could also be seen from one of the bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked and the complimentary s’more ingredients was an extra nice touch which we enjoyed. Communication was prompt with the host who ran over when I could not find the lighter for the fire/charcoal grill and delighted us with a fire down by the beach as we watched the lights go on the Mackinaw Bridge. We had 3 generations from the ages of 23 to 89, and we all had an amazing time at the UP North Guest House!!!!

The house is in an unbelievable location with fantastic views from the beach. So close to town and ferry rides to Mackinaw Island. It’s immaculate and everything is top notch. Quiet and relaxing. My dog also loved it! I would highly recommend this house! Absolute perfection!
