This was the perfect house for our family and friends to stay in during our visit to New Orleans. We were just a short walk to both Frenchmen Street and into the French Quarter. The neighborhood is quiet and we always felt safe walking, even at night. The house had everything we needed, and we cooked big breakfasts for our group before we started our day. David was easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions. We will definitely stay here again!!

The house was nice the little bit we were there! We enjoyed the fenced in back yard…nice and private. The screen doors could be fixed but that being said it wasn’t a deal breaker! We’ll hopefully be back to stay again!!

My group and I could not have been happier with our stay at the Blair house in New Orleans. Where to start? The home was decorated beautifully with full kitchen, washer, dryer, great fridge, etc. - all the amenities you could want. A cozy hang out space in the back yard, a nice front porch for people watching, and a living room and kitchen that all could accommodate our group. Ample linens in each room and bathroom, plus toiletries. TVs, and computers (we didn't use them because we were there to enjoy the city) - of course AMAZING location. Walking distance to both hot spots of NOLA - or a short drive. Easy parking. And our host was a pleasure to deal with and really knew his city. Not only do I recommend this amazing find, but I would stay again for sure.

Our host was amazing and the property location was primary. The beautiful home with spacious rooms and amenities galore made the vacation all one could ask for. When we are back in NOLA, Blair House will be our choice!

Property is great for giving you the NOLA vibe. Many details to find throughout the property that give you a nice sense of history. Location is fantastic. Short walks to most everything in the French Quarter or Frenchman Street. Easy to ride share to WW2 museum, etc. Parking was provided off street for our vehicle.
Home was very clean and organized. Labels for shelving, switches, etc. Host was very responsive and polite. Beds were very comfortable! Quiet when you're inside.
Highly recommended for a comfortable base of operations.

We were 3 couples spending a long weekend to celebrate New Year’s together. The space was ideal and location excellent. David’s communication was fabulous—best I’ve experienced. The house had everything you need plus more. Highly recommend

Lovely older New Orleans home with character in a quiet neighborhood. Close to the French Quarter and was easily walkable for most activities. Off street secured parking was a bonus. I would stay here again when traveling to New Orleans.

The listing was very accurate, location excellent and host very accommodating. Truly walking distance to all major attractions and the house really gave you the New Orleans vibe. Pictures of celebrities that stayed there were a nice surprise. It is a very old house so you have to keep in mind it will not feel like a hotel room. Overall a great stay that I would recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay and our host was awesome! He emailed check in directions which were easy to understand and right on time. Before I left on the trip, I texted him a question and he responded same day! It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood and close enough to walk to all of the action. Although we didn't cook while we were there, the house is fully stocked with spices and necessities that you would normally have to buy. The icing on the cake for us was the courtyard out back where we could enjoy our coffee every morning!

The owner (who was a great communicator throughout) clearly went to a tremendous amount of effort to make any stay at this home a totally unique experience. In an older Victorian (as many of the New Orleans are), he has decorated virtually ever square inch of the space with unique, one-of-a kind items. From numerous crystal chandeliers, antique turn-of-the-century furnishings and poignant 'mood lighting' lamps and such, staying here caught our eyes every time we looked up, down or around. It was lovely and fun!
David was an excellent correspondent at all times. Getting in and out was easy. Having the ability to park two cars in the driveway, then seal off the driveway gate gave a special feeling of security. We walked to the Thai restaurant a block away, and it was excellent.
Apparently, David was a makeup artist to several stars including Dolly Parton and Kirk Douglas, as their signed photos attested.
If you have a love and appreciation for older 'objets d'art' (as we do) you will likely love staying here. My wife and I will return here one day.
Incidentally, there are two homes on one property. The 2BR in front has its own bath for each bedroom; the 1BR in back does as well.

The Blair House is by far the best place we've stayed in while visiting NOLA. The original character, modern amenities, and advanced technology allowed for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We had four phones and four computers connected and never experienced an issue. The furniture was super comfortable for movie-watching and sleeping, and the front porch was the best spot for chilling, reading, and chatting with passersby. David was a great host, easily available when needed, and gave excellent suggestions prior to arriving. This will be our go-to vacation spot in NOLA for years to come!

Great location!!! We flew and it was around a 1/2 hour cab ride from the airport. Family also stayed and drove, they had a spot to park in the driveway behind a locked gate. You can walk to Bourbon Street, Frenchman's Street, Jackson square, St Louis Cemetary #1 or almost anywhere you want.

Our family of four stayed here while attending a family wedding. Large enough for us but we also had the garden cottage which adjoins the main house. Everything in the house is dated and decorated in a style that I am sure appeals to someone older than myself. Seemed like it could use a good cleaning and updating especially the back bathroom with peeling wallpaper and broken Knick knacks. Searching in the kitchen for sugar/creamer revealed 5 year old condiments. Would be perfect place for Halloween timed visit. Close to great breakfast spot and walking distance to jazz clubs. Other members of wedding party were close by which was also a bonus.

Flew into town to see Duran Duran play at the Smoothie King Arena. House is perfect location to any where you want to go. Restaurants and bars in short walk. Quarter is a 16min walk or a 5min car ride. House is everything you want. Very very comfortable.

I like that it was close to a lot of things. I was unhappy about the cleanliness of the rooms. The bed, ceiling fan, headboard, curtains, dressers, walls and pictures had months of dust on them and when I asked the owner if anyone had cleaned the house before arrival, he proceeded to be rude and told me not to unpack my things and find somewhere else to stay as I was being appreciative. I took plenty of pictures and videos as o will be consulting someone about this. Not one time did he offer to send someone to clean the room. Owner is rude and I will not recommend anyone to stat here under these conditions.

The Blair house is a very comfortable stay. This house has a very New Orleans feel to it. All beds are comfortable. TVs in every room. The guest house (fully equipped with everything), was so convenient for our other guest giving her privacy as well. Very short walking distance to the French quarter and a quick walk to Jackson Square. Friendly neighbors. The host David is very friendly and very responsive. The Blair house has everything you need- no need to pack any toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. He provides all the necessary things you need when traveling. The only minor thing- the host might change his housekeeping crew. They don’t really pay attention to detail. A very GREAT, comfortable and quiet place to stay. We highly recommend staying here!!!

My wife and I stayed for four nights at this property with another couple who had never been to New Orleans. The location is perfect for exploring the French Quarter and the Marigny neighborhoods. The house has charm, was comfortable, and had many thoughtful amenities. Our host, David, was easy to contact and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Lovely house within walking distance of Frenchmen Street (music) and the French Quarter. We appreciated the secure off street parking for our car. The property owner quickly responded to any of our questions both before our visit and during our stay. We will look forward to booking the property again in the future.
