Our family had a wonderful time together at this amazing cabin! It had everything we needed and then some! We were able to cook many meals with everything provided and many stores minutes away! We even got some snowfall and went tubing up at the mountain which was really close too!! Getting up in the morning and having a cup of coffee on the lanai with a breathtaking view of the river was the best!! Such a peaceful place that we hope to be able to return to!

Arrived late in the evening and awoke to the most beautiful deck view of the river. The house had all the feels of a cabin getaway, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our simple Thanksgiving dinner. Took a nap in the hammock listening to the water, we will absolutely be back!

So comfortable, so cosy, so welcoming. Incredible spot right on the river; the trees, the scenery... perfect Fall in Oregon setting! Sparkling clean, and everything was so well thought out and thoughtful. We especially enjoyed the woodstove, it just made the experience! Comfortable chairs and beds, nothing left wanting.

Amazing river views...We watched the salmon as they attempted to travel up stream and deer crossing the shallow river.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The sound of the river just beyond the back deck was so peaceful and relaxing. The location of the property was fantastic for getting outdoors and exploring the greater Mt. Hood area. The home was extremely comfortable and well kept.

My partner and I had such a relaxing, soothing weekend getaway at this amazing cabin right on the Salmon River. The view and sounds of rushing water did healing wonders on my soul. The house itself was very clean, well-stocked, and organized with labels on drawers and cabinets for easy location of items. There was plenty of room with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms; we could have easily accommodated another two people and not felt cramped. On our last day, Dixon graciously accommodated us with a late checkout so we could soak up the glory of nature a little longer from the deck. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our restorative weekend.

Great property very relaxing

This property was a great cabin. It had that lived in relaxed vibe with all you could need! Games, clean linens, River view, cooking and baking items. Truly a little gem off the beaten path. We would def go back for longer. Very relaxing.

Incredible Riverfront property. You feel totally alone on the Deck with the babbling of the River to soothe your soul. Easy location and great amenities to boot. We'll be back for sure :).

We greatly enjoyed our brief stay here. The house is right on the Salmon River, which we had a full view of from the deck in the back of the house. If you're looking for a peaceful stay close to nature but not at all primitive, this place is great. The house is equipped with everything you need, and then some - we lacked for nothing. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and the entire house was neat as a pin. We hope to spend time here again someday.

The place worked very well for us with lovely green trees all around and great deck overlooking river. Beds were excellent; I wish I knew who made them. Would happily stay again. Mt Hood was lovely but overly crowded at this time of year. Everybody wants to be in this beautiful area.

It was our first time visiting Oregon and we enjoyed staying at this peaceful and comfortable cabin. It is clean, fully stocked and everything is labeled. The river views by the deck is spectacular! It was so relaxing hanging out and listening to the sound of river. We even saw family of deer crossing the river. The owner is very kind and accommodating. Communication with the owner is great. The neighbors are friendly. We highly recommend this cabin. If we visit Oregon again, we will definitely stay at this lovely house by the river. Thank you so much Dixon! Easy to hang out together

We just had a quick trip to see Mt. Hood with out two little ones and our dog. It was a lovely stay and we had everything we needed.

We were there in late September and the Salmon were spawning right in front of the deck. Everything about the rental was great. Highly recommended.

We loved the house and the beautiful river in the back We enjoyed seeing the deer and and other animals. We took advantage of the Bar b que and ate most meals outside. The place was very clean and communication with the owners was great. Would happily go there again!

The deck and view was absolutely delightful. Fully stocked unit. Peaceful and quiet. Not a lot of room outside for dogs. Would not recommend for young kids. Neighbors were friendly.

This was a great place to stay right on the river. Good central location to waterfall corridor by the Columbia Gorge and Mt Hood hikes. Comfy beds and perfect back porch overlooking the river. Lovely respite from the bustle of the city. This house has all the necessities covered you might need. Great instructions and labels to help you find things, and nice binder of local info helped us plan our activities. Right down the road in the national forest, there are fun little hikes down to the river.

We loved staying at this home in the woods, right on the Salmon River. It had everything/anything we could need, is close to places for food & hiking, or just staying on the deck watching the water. Cute, quiet and peaceful Salmon River retreat with a 15 min drive to Timberline Resort. Perfect low key getaway.

Location of the property is amazing!!!!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay here. Even before we arrived, Dixon was very accommodating in letting us adjust our dates without charging extra. The cabin is clean and cozy -- the feel is very homey and that of a family-owned place. The kitchen is well-equipped, which was a big plus for us passionate home cooks. The wood stove with a large firewood supply was particularly appreciated. The location of the cabin is perfect. The river runs directly by the house, and there is a large deck to enjoy the view and sounds. On the other side of the house, right across the street, is the Welches golf course, which during wintertime was completely deserted and made for a perfect place to stroll. We would definitely come back to this place. Thank you, Dixon! One small comment on the operation of the wood stove. The booklet for the house said to close the door after the fire is established and not to change any settings. When we did this, however, the air would be all but cut off, resulting in a smoky smolder instead of the slow, sustained burn that one wants from a wood stove. We finally found a damper lever on the back of the stove, which turned out to be entirely closed. Once it was opened just a tiny bit we got a much better burn. (It should be opened just a tiny bit, though. If you open it any more, you lose the slow burn and it becomes the kind of lively fire you get with the door open.)

A wonderful place to take a break and slow down. This was one of the cleanest, most comfortable places I’ve stayed at. The kitchen is well stocked and labels help with finding what you are looking for. It felt like being at a family home. The view of the river and the quiet setting offered much needed respite.

We were looking for a quiet place, and this house was perfect! Even though it rained most of the time, the wood stove warmed the house enough to open the sliding door and enjoy the sounds of the river. Salmon were still running and gave us a nice show. The house was well stocked with good cookware making meal prep more enjoyable than other places we have stayed in. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to get away from the noise of town.
