This property was a great place to stay with my family for a fun filled week. We are still on our trip back home and are already discussing a return trip.
This place has so many perks included that the most difficult decision you will have to make during your stay is which activity to do next.
Just be sure to stay long enough that you can do it all. We did! Enjoy the ocean and the inlet channel, which are both just a few steps away.
Also, be sure to catch the sunrise and sunset, as they are awesome

This house was fabulous! We had grandparents, grandchildren and adults. It had everything right there for us to enjoy. We all went kayaking, swimming, s’more making, fishing, karaoke and lots of laughs. The tiki bar was awesome too. A great place to stay with family. Thank you John for sharing with us.💕

This was the best equipped house we ever stayed at. Our family included six adults and three children aged six to 10. This home had everything you could imagine to enjoy a trip to the beach. Bikes, kayaks, surfboards, skim boards and life jackets. We all enjoyed the pool. Every room in the house was decorated with a coastal theme. The Tiki bar was a gathering point day and night. We had a small Whaler and a Jetski that we launched on the property and utilized the docks. Everyone enjoyed their stay and would like to return. You will not be disappointed!

Our family had a fantastic stay at The Tiki House in North Topsail Beach! House was very clean upon arrival and is loaded with everything you need for a great week on the water. Very close to the beach and had a blast fishing on the canal. Our young ones really enjoyed all of the games, activities, and movies provided by the host! Of course the hot tub and pool as well. Would definitely stay again, thank you!!!

The tiki house did not disappoint. Plenty of space for large groups to relax and have fun. All the beds were comfortable and bedding and pillows were all high quality and new. All the rooms has fans, extra pillows blanks and air purifiers, the host thought of everything! So much to do to keep busy! Board games, outdoor games kayaks, bikes you name it. Everything you need is there, chairs coolers beach carts it was so nice be able to pack light. House is decorated nicely and comfortable indoors and out. We went in April and I was worried about the pool being cold, a few days of full sun on the pool and it was heated up nicely!! On top of all this the owner is quick to respond and the maintenance person Chris was the nicest most hard working guy you could ever meet. This property is great for families. The entire family had fun and plenty of room to spread out and have space. The check in, stay, the local residents and the overall stay was great.

Our group of cousins! 6 adults and 8 teens! This property had space for all of us, including beds for all the kids to have their own- which is HUGE! We loved the 2 living rooms, we had a puzzle going and in the other room was Basketball Finals on the TV and games at the dining room table. We ate most meals in and were able to spread out at the Tiki Bar, or dining room. Added bonus- surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks, paddle boards and bikes- which we tried just about everything. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool- yes even though the pool wasn't heated, the area is protected from the ocean breeze and we dipped to cool off. The beach access, was easy and just across the street. It felt like our own private beach, with so many shells and smooth rocks to find. The kids did a couple midnight missions to hunt for ghost crabs, with great success! Thank you so much for all the memories! Let us know if anyone beats MDG's high scores!

The house has enough space for everyone to spread out and hang out and read a book if necessary. It is not luxurious as indicated in the listing but it was definitely a lot of fun! My only complaint was the riptides 😳

This is a cozy and comfortable home with a great layout for our multi-generational family vacation. We enjoyed the outdoors spaces including the tiki bar, hot tub and pool, corn hole & firepit, and the docks on the canal. The use of kayaks and paddleboards was also a plus. The home is in a great location with easy access to a beautiful and serene part of the beach.

This property is basically as described, great spaces and comfortable inside. Check in was easy but it was unclear where sheets would be. There are some flies, but it’s the beach and doors are open! Outdoor spaces are the best part with the tiki bar and sunset views, short walk to beach and nice pool and hot tub. We had a great time. Some outdoor cushions need to be replaced for better sitting comfort and kitchen supplies need a refresh. Otherwise a solid fun rental.

It was a windy/rainy week at the beach but the Tiki house had a wonderful outdoor bar, pool and hot tub that made it fun even when the beach itself was inhospitable. John was a very responsive host and any issues were quickly resolved. Highly recommend.

Great house for family vacation
Great house for family vacation. It had everything you needed. Quick walk across to beach. Caught fish and crabs in canal. Even named the alligator in the canal for the kids. Fredrick was about 4 foot long and was fun to watch.

Topsail beach vacation
It was great spending time with my family but the property itself was a disappointment. We had to fight ants and roaches all week. The maintenance man was very rude. Had to make our own beds when we arrived. I think when you pay the kind of money I paid the beds should be made when you arrive and the house should be clean. I would never rent this property again.

Kid and Pet Friendly!
We enjoyed our stay. The kids stayed extremely busy fishing off the dock and kayaking. The access to the beach is closer than what it looks like in photos. Plenty of activities at this house. It gives the best of both worlds- oceanfront and canal front. It rained two days if our stay and we sat outside on the porch around the tiki bar. The kids had lunch at the tiki bar everyday. Very pet and kid friendly.

Great Family Vacation Spot!
This house was perfect for our family vacation. It is not a "fancy" rental and feels like a regular home. The three kids ran around , jumped in the pool, swam, enjoyed the hot tub and had a super time. The kayaks were a great addition. The beach access is really close to the house and wasn't too far for the little kids or great-grandparent to walk to.
The kitchen is well stocked for cooking; the beds are comfortable; the Tiki Bar area is fun!
We really loved this house and our relaxing vacation!!
(The only important suggestion is to make the deck railings more secure. There are areas where the wire was loose and a little person could easily fall through. )

Christmas vacation
Property owner was very responsive to questions. Enjoyed spending Christmas with husband and 3 children under 12. Quiet area in the winter and my children enjoyed playing games. The house is older so needs work on the outside but inside is clean. Area rugs need to be replaced but probably wouldn’t have noticed it except that my children like to roll around on the floor and the rugs were shedding all over their clothes. Great time was had by all!

Beach, channel or pool. Which one today?
This property was fun for everyone. Most enjoyed by my brothers was the tiki bar. We enjoyed kayaking in the intercostal a couple of days. The beach was awesome just a short walk away. Nice pool and enjoyed the fire pit on the last night with a bon fire and margaritas.
The only two things that were not that crucial to our stay but would have made it better is better organization and or possible labeling of where kitchen items could be found and the house being cleaned better by the housekeeping service.

So close to the beach plus a dock. Couldn’t ask for more. And the pool, hot tub and tiki bar are just wonderful for bringing together all generations. Booking again for next year!

This is the perfect house! It has something to do for everyone. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board, the pool, hot tub and the beach. My husband enjoyed having his boat docked.
The adults loved the outside sitting area.

Great Family Getaway
Pool, beach, pool, kayaking, pool, beach, kayaking, pool, eat, drink, relax.... repeat daily. We had an awesome time and everyone wants to come back... the kids say two weeks next time! We even found a gator while kayaking!

Perfect Overall
Our extended family and I all enjoyed the extracaricilar activities of the kayaks, paddle boards, crabbing in the inlet, pool, hot tub, and fire pit. With the proximity of the beach being directly in front of us it added to the great experience. We will certainly be back!

Perfect location!
This property is perfect for a large group! Spacious, with so many areas to hang out. The two fridges and the mini fridge were so helpful. The dock handled our boat well and provided easy access at high or low tide. Would definitely recommend and book again!

House with water on both sides
For the last 5 years we have gone on vacation for Presidents day weekend and the goal is to find a house that fits everyone ,allows the adults to be in one room and the kids into another, and is comfortable enough to spend most of our time in. This house worked perfectly for us. We stayed in most of the time only getting out to kayak or flying kites on the beach. The house was wonderful overall.
One thing to note is pay attention to the listing. We were surprised when the house didn't come with liens and had to run to a 24 hour Walmart to buy sheets for the beds and towels. We also were surprised there were no hand towels in the kitchen which caused us to use more paper towels than expected.
We also had a slight communication issue with the owner and a scheduled power outage. However, he felt really bad about the issue and refunded us the hot tub fee.

Not what we thought...
The pictures for property looked nice online but when we got there it was not what we thought. We were met with flies everywhere. The landlord did send someone over as soon as we contacted him but it didn’t really help. We also found numerous roaches. There are air cleaners running all the time and if we would turn them off then the house would start to smell. The house needed to be updated. There was broken deck furniture and cushions for furniture were old and dirty. The house just seemed somewhat run down outside. The landlord and caretaker were nice but we don’t think we would stay there again. I’m not sure it was worth the price.
