Loved staying so close to all of the downtown activity without being in the noise of it. House is lovely, quiet and perfect for two friends - each having our own bedroom and bath.

Really enjoyed our five day stay in Salida. We’ve tried a couple of different rental homes in town over the past few years and Dunwell Cottage is the best. Great location, close to the river and downtown activities, and easy walking distance to the Little Red Hen bakery and the Farmers Market. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and the backyard is perfect for reading and socializing. Wish the TV had cable.

Inside was very nice and cozy, wverything we needed. The outside could use some TLC and curb appeal, not very inviting. Location completely makes up for it. Seeing the outside in person gave me some hesitation that the whole place was run down but once we were inside we could see that a lot of attention and upgrading had been done inside.
Dogs are allowed but the fenced in area is very small and the fence is only about 30" high, something to keep in mind.
Overall we enjoyed our experience, just wish there was maybe some front yard seating or an inviting patio i stead of dead plants.

Very attractive and comfortable cottage walking distance to everything Salida has to offer. But be forewarned, if you want to watch the big game, there’s no cable. ROCU and access to your own subscriptions are what’s available. Otherwise this is a nicely renovated and charming cottage.

Clean house in safe and central location. No great views from inside home but GREAT location 1 block from Arkansas river & park, 1.5 blocks or less than 5-minute walk from restaurants, pubs, cafes, etc. 5-10 min walk to grocery stores. Good communication from property management company including guide on checkin process, things to do and dining options in area, and other recommendations. Recommended.

Great stay overall in an excellent location right in the heart of Salida. We walked pretty much everywhere in town from this location. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs. Inside, the house was clean, kitchen stocked with all the cutlery and cookware we needed. The heating in the house is very efficient, and as there are two thermostats, we were able to control the temp perfectly in the living area and the bedrooms. Only issue on one of the days was the water in the shower went to from hot to ice cold and the pressure wasn't super. But everything else about the property made up for it. Will be staying here again in the future.

This house was perfect for our stay. It was very clean and within walking distance to the center of town and the river. Bedrooms were large and the kitchen was well appointed. We would rent here again.

Great Location
The property is conveniently located next too the river and town. My only comment is when I received the check in instructions the link for the lock key pad was not included. It was guessing at best on how it functioned. Thus we used the side door key entry

This is a great layout for a group and the location is terrific. Our concerns have to do with the smell of urine in one bedroom, possibly from a previous pet? The other is that the sofas are beyond their due date and sag so much when you sit that it’s not comfortable.

This house was ready to go, clean and stocked with things we didn’t even think to bring, but we’re incredibly helpful. Forget salt for the eggs? There’s a spice cabinet. Struggling with the dry air? There’s a humidifier. The back bedroom gets cold at night? Two space heaters ready to go. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the owner even shoveled the snow off the wall and helped us jumpstart our car. Thanks for a great stay!

With a little updating, this could be a GREAT rental.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location and neighborhood were excellent and the home was roomy. We were disappointed there was no air conditioning as it was hot during our stay. TVs in both bedrooms are generally expected these days, and the sofa was low and uncomfortable. This could be a GREAT property with the addition of a few creature comforts. For us, A/C is a MUST.

The location is awesome for Salida, just steps away from the Riverfront park and a short walk from all the action. The house is very well equipped (all the kitchen stuff you could need, even dog bowls) and well organized. Our communications with both Pinion and Keith were excellent and they were very responsive. We would stay here again with no hesitation.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! We were so close to the river, biking trails, and downtown. Parking was never a problem, and the neighborhood was quiet. We will definitely be returning to Salida and do hope this home will be available for our stay!

My husband and I came with our daughter to view future wedding options. Many great hikes up S mountain. Delicious food and drink options. House was perfect for us and 2 small dogs. Altogether a great stay!

This property won't be in a Pinterest portfolio, but it was clean well-priced, and comfortable. The main draw is that the location is fantastic, quick 2 min walk to downtown Salida and the Arkansas River Walk.
